You two prove, that you don't need a $100,000 rig to do what you do.. And what i do.. what anyone can do.. enjoy the outside.. Live outside.. Long live adventure camping..

Not only do I say go for it with the Friendly Cove documentary, but any others that y’all find interesting. Y’all make excellent content and I can assure you that myself and many others will be watching as y’all make it happen! Keep em comin!
I don't think you said it loud enough - everyone needs a friend like Jason and Westcan Overland to bring the tent and find the cabin! It is great to see you travelling again in our Beautiful BC - as always much love ❤
Love it! There is a time and place for traveling in a rig for living long-term, and then there is the time to keep it simple. Most overland videos I've watched, short trips, they are all tricked out with the roof top tents and slide-out kitchens, ultra-expensive trucks. You guys are striking the right balance. And, as always, some of the best narration ever!!
You guys are amazing! Your Content is always top notch. British Columbia and Vancouver are other worldly and just so overwhelmingly fantastic in their beauty. You always capture the landscape and the diversity of where you travel to, in the most exquisite ways. So all I can say is wow, keep doing what you are doing and thank you so much for sharing your journey with us all!!
I have been watching since ya'll rolled the yeti and did the cab swap, chatted with Matt on instagram and bought a 4Runner myself and to see where the two of you have come is actually insane. truly inspirational, glad to see you guys nearing 100K ♥ love from Enderby
Great start to what I hope is a new series of videos. I have always felt that way about America in that I will go to other places in the world when I have discovered all my home has to offer. I have never quite put it into those words, so thank you for helping me to understand what I've always felt. My trip to Idaho gets closer with each passing day. Our garage looks likes Santa went through the camping section at Amazon. It surprises me how many people think I'm going to the end of the world and will surely never return. I'm sure you heard those comments before your last big trip. Watching this video makes me yearn to hit the road now, but I must show patience and wait on Amazon to send the 1250Wh solar generator. It is so exciting for it to be coming together, I know you guys know the feeling.
We’re so happy you could resonate with this, Phil! We’re also SO excited to hear that Amazon has been the elite Santa in getting you prepared for your journey. It sounds like you’ll be set to continue to Argentina if you need 🙌🏻
I did as well. Went to school there. Was one of the coolest place I’ve lived. Went back and the apartments we lived in are falling apart and boarded up
Magnificent images and information. It is a great pleasure to travel with you. Thank you. If you are young, travel, if you are young, eat, if you are young, wear it. If you don't do it, you will never do it again.
It was very surreal to meet you two in person the other day, I thought I recognized the view of friendly cove as my father and I salmon fished that point back in 2016. I didn’t realized how much history it had though, great video as always, y’all have inspired so many including myself, see you next Thursday. Cheers! 🍻
You guys should make a road trip to the west kootenays. Tons of offroad trails, beautiful scenery, hot springs, lakes, rivers...should I keep going? Keep up the great work love your videos.
Beautiful footage 😍 seeing you driving along the upper campbell and into the buttle lake islands gives me paradise vibes ✨️ "Vancouver island is a jigsaw puzzle you'll never find the last piece too" - couldnt have said it better myself. Thanks for sharing!
Loved that old bridge. Shame it’s closed off. The water fall at 11:33 was so awesome. With just getting back from a week long visit to the island we are so excited to see the next few of your videos.
Great movie. Your comments remind me of the Alchemist - travel the world and find the treasure when you return home. Sunday is nice, but the yeti is another level.
There's a fallen totem pole by the black berry bush near the water spout where the natives tried to donate to captain Cook. If you do the hike, there's a whole lot of wreckage on the north end of the island, even a Toyota half taken away by the sea. One of our favorite spots!
Back in the day before gopros in 1989, I took the Uchuck to Nootka and offloaded at Kendrick arm camp with a Kawasaki KLR 650 and a small trailer pulled behind it with all my camping gear in it and my 13ft inflatable white water raft ,road to the end of Crawfish lake and camped and fished there. Even hiked the old trail to Calvin Creek Falls past the end of Crawfish Lake all the way west to Nootka's west coast was a dream trip of a lifetime.
Another absolutely EPIC video. Some highlights #1 Williams Rig!! I drool every time I see that thing. So jealous. #2 Stacy snatching the drone out of the sky like a badass ! 😂 #3 All great fishing stories start with “he was ripping line out like ZZZZZZZZ and then I lost him” Never gets old 👍 Glad to have you guys back on the island showcasing what a magical place we live in. I would t want to call anywhere else home. Side note. Had another Yeti sighting on the island highway yesterday. Wife still thinks I’m nuts when I shout “YETI!” Like a school girl 😂
more docdrama, luvd the s.american 3yr showdown, this new chapter is stupendous and can’t wait to see what happens next, i’ve been to alot of your home haunts and recognize landmarks and vistas you both have experienced together Stace is the coolest and wish you both the brightest of futures, the nootka sound doc would be awesome!
So now the whole world knows why I live on the Island. I am still stunned at times by the beauty, the bears the deer, the elk and the most elusive cougars. It is truly an amazing place to live
SO GOOD to see you guys on more adventures on your home turf! It was great following you on the Pan American highway but at least for me this is a little more special. We are blessed to live in Beautiful British Columbia. ❤️😊👍
Heck yes more local documentaries and first nations history would be awesome! Was that the bridge over Kennedy Lake at the beginning? I remember learning the history of that bridge from a couple locals, about the massive battle over the clear cutting on the mountain slope, how it was too steep to ever recover, how the hippies very nearly bombed the bridge but got caught, and how little money was actually made when the loggers finally won and did their clear cutting. There must be a million stories as good as that in BC.
Northern Vancouver island is a fantastic playground. We have started exploring it more. Boondocking at trail heads and climbing some of the many mountain peaks. Southern Vancouver island has become so limited related to gates out in by Mosaic forest products and there claim related to the Dunsmiur land grab of over 100 years ago which ends at Campbell River
Also back in the day with my 1986 Suzuki 250cc quadrunner 4x4 and a trailer behind with all my camping gear and my 13ft inflatable white water raft made another trip to Gold river and Donner lake up in Strathcona Park where the upper old road went to lake shore ,we put the raft in the lake and traveled to the west end of the lake. The steep mountains lake and creek at the west end of the lake are spectacular and fishing was incredible. Not sure if that old road is still accessible but a drone looking at it would let you know. That my friends is a bucket list experience.

Love seeing the drone footage always, it's such a wild perspective. On the Friendly Cove documentary - that'd be grand for sure. Safe travels you two.
Welcome back to the islandTWR! Great video. Again. Logged for many years around the WC including Gold River. Love the Uchuck just a great (and sleek looking) west coast icon probably the last coastal freighter using the Union Purchase rigging for unloading/loading freight. On your Yuquot doc there was a fellow, George Nicholson wrote a very good book entitled, Vancouver Islands West Coat. I had a copy (1964) when I was a kid living in Fair Harbour it and a host of others might be good research for your doc... There are lots of great research material out there but nothing beats getting right into it and spending time in these truly historic places and trying to imagine what it must have been like 200 years ago! We live on a truly small island just a 20 minute ferry ride from Port McNeill now but once in a while get over to the northern reaches of the west coast. Cheers from Sointula.
Thank you so much Vern! Appreciate the tips. We will have to check them out. We hope to get over to Sointula this summer. Stacey did a lot of forestry in the Broughtons, and always dreamed of stopping there. Cheers!
