This is the best video I’ve seen!! Probably ever. Thank you for the knowledge and entertainment, sir! Going to be doing this to my 2016 Jeep Patriot 4x4 Lat.
Very good video but I do have one question. At 18:53, what is the Piece on top of the Air intake tube. Right in front of the "Remove for Battery Access. Where you had to screw it in at. I Actually bought the whole air intake tube but I am missing that particular piece
It is my guess that the ridge in the lid of the airbox is in place to keep the filter installed so that it does not slip off causing debris to get into the intake of the vehicle. Saying all that because your k&n has a clamp you probably could actually cut that ridge out of the lid so that it doesn't interfere with the k&n filter.
Great video I know we all aren't professionals but we only can do the best that we can do and you proved that in this video I'm putting a K&N air filter on my 2011 Jeep Compass so yes this video did help me out a lot👍👍
Awesome video bro. Just goes to show that the installer is the issue on most negative reviews. Also full pull on the video ... im a winner ... whats my prize? Stay safe out there chief 🤜🤜
Great video 📹 by the way. My biggest question is where can I get a Crankcase Breathable Air Filter I've looked and called everywhere and can't seem to find it. Can you please HELP me find this Mysterious SMALL Air filter ??
Thanks for watching ! Don't sweat the crankcase filter. It's an environmental thing really. Old cars had crankcase vents that just went out into open air. Since all the smog control stuff the crankcase is filter thru the air filter. The foam is just their to keep any potential oil from getting into the fuel system, which if it did would result in some smoke out the tailpipe. You can simply wash it out in a sink with some dawn dish soap. Otherwise I wouldn't worry about it.
I’ve heard the the 2011-2016 or 17 Jeep Compass has the same engine so would this work with that too cuz I wanna get one for mine I got videos of my Jeep Compass on my channel also I watch the whole video
I know the vehicles are pretty much the same. If you have the 2.0l engine it's the same. If you have the 2.4l engine Idk if the 2 engines usr the same air box.
Yup the only difference between the 2.4 / 2.0L engines is that the 2.0's have sleeves in the cylinders to make them smaller. Other than that the Patriots and Compass are identical mechanically. I have the 2014 Compass Latitude withe the 6 speed Automatic transmission; got lucky finding one used without a CVT. I've been using Patriot DIY TH-cam videos to learn how to do as much maintenance on the compass as possible by myself.
Nice I ordered the air duct intake from Amazon I know this comment is not about the air filter but this the closes video I've seen when someone takes the air duct off
@@thenotoriousrvh6091 yeah I have 2011 jeep patriot 2.0 I got from a dealer ship and it was messing cold air intake and the engine cover but I ordered the cold air intake from Amazon. I hope it fits I should make video on that never seen a video on that part lol
K&N makes one but I didn't feel like shelling out the almost $300 for it. I couldn't find any of the cheaper ones. By means make a video, I'll watch for sure.
doing tons of work on my jeep replaced every ignition pack , every spark , brake fluid , oil , tranny fluid , now you helped me do the air filter

The fresh air intake, I think.

Exactly, but you know how the internet is. Had I not put that clamp on.
Great video man. You’re very entertaining lol 😂
Thanks lol but you full of shit. 😂😂
Lmmfao. Finally someone who has a sense of humor. Right on 2 the both of you two peckerheads 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣
On a 2013 it doesn’t fit. There is a peg on the black cover that hits the filter. I had to basically crush it to fit
I had zero issue. Fit snug but perfect. No problems. Battery ratchet took 10 minutes
