I love your journal setup! You have inspired me to make one. As I have never journaled or done any paper related art I am going to use a notebook I was given to design quilts. I am starting small (it’s how I caught the quilting bug) and hope I continue with journaling my books. I will be checking out the links you have provided and can’t wait to get started. Thank you again for your incredible inspiration!
Thank you so much! I’m so happy that you’re starting your own journal. 🥰 I also started small with my first reading journal and used one of my old journals until I knew it was something I would stick to. After a year I bought my first dedicated reading journal and have stuck to it ever since! You just have to find what works for you and how much time you have to dedicate to it. Good luck!
Thank you! It was from Archer & Olive, in one of their subscription boxes. I just took a look on their site and it doesn’t look like they have any similar ones currently but I would keep a look out for them. They usually do many washi tape releases throughout the year!
You have a really pretty looking journal. Just found your channel randomly while binge watching a lot of journal set-ups. Surprised to see an English-speaking booktouber reading Polish books! Do you maybe need some recommendations? I read mostly fantasy. I will be catching up on your videos for the next few days.
Thank you! I’m always looking for more polish book recommendations, so that would be amazing! My parents are both Polish so it’s a way I’m trying to continue connecting to my culture, but definitely not a country I feel like many people read from. 😊
@@thehoneyreads Great! I may be assuming incorrectly, but assuming you know Polish - If you're into high fantasy, probably the best series I know is "The Lord of Ice Garden" ("Pan Lodowego Ogrodu") by Jarosław Grzędowicz. It may be a bit hard to read in Polish, if you aren't too used to it. There will be a computer game based on it soon, so I hope they will translate it. Some fun books set in alternative Poland: - "Kołysanka dla czarownicy" by Magdalena Kubasiewicz - "Dziewczyna z dzielnicy cudów" by Aneta Jadowska (I see theyre both available on american Amazon). Both are beginnings of series but are quite easy to read. Magdalena Kubasiewicz had one of her books translated to English - "Burn the witch", but it seems to be out of print, so not sure if you can get it anywhere. (Also not sure about the quality of its translation. That publisher was weird). I also really recommend Maria Zdybska. She had some short stories translated (available as e-book) and from what I heard one of her novels is currently being prepared for English publication. For books translated to English, definitely try some written by Stanisław Lem. "Solaris" is interesting, but there is surprisingly a ton of his books tranlsated. He was a hard s-f writer.
Wow, thank you so much for these recommendations! I’ll have to look into all of these books. I do read in Polish, but haven’t in a couple of years. It’s something I also want to get back into 😅
2024 was my first year sponge a reading journal, and I used an 8x8 A&O. I did the same for this year too. Your journal is gorgeous! One day I'll be brave enough to share mine.
Which cover design did you get up getting for this year? Definitely share it if you’d like, I love seeing how everyone designs their reading journals. 😊
I love it but ripping up old books or any books for that matter just bothers me so much especially when there's stylised papers these days. Just don't like the destruction of books and by book lovers as well. It hurts my soul. Beautiful spreads though!!
I totally get that! I do use just one super old book for this purpose only, to avoid the waste of using more books or buying newly made paper! It definitely is hard to see though 😅
@kaylaparra63 that is true and I agree with all that is said too I just stated that it upsets me to see them getting ripped and destroyed I wasn't creating a statement or making a big thing out of her using them this way I was only expressing. I like to look for particular copies of my favourite books which some are hard editions to get hold of and it just makes me think that someone could have loved it and read it. I wasn't saying don't do it or that it wasn't a good use in fact I love her use of the pages and how the end result looked. I'm very aware of books going to landfill which is why I seek out old/used books than buying new ones. I hope that has clarified for everyone who reads.
Your reading journal is stunning ❤
I would love to see how your 2024 reading journal ended (in the little frame that you show, looks amazing) ❤
Thank you so much! I’ll definitely film one in the coming weeks 🥰
@thehoneyreads uhullll, I so happy ❤️🥰✨️

Thank you!! That’s definitely the vibe I try going for every year ☺️
I love the journal you picked for this year, and always follow your set ups when I’m tracking statistics. So much inspiration always! 🫶🏼
Thank you so much! I loved your setup for your journal this year as well 🥰🥰
@ 😍🥰
Love your journal setup! Where is the vintage themed Washi from featured at 11:00?

I love your journal! All of the stats make my brain happy 😂❤
Me too! Especially at the end of the year when they’re all filled out 😂💕 Thank you for watching!
@thehoneyreads definitely! Can't wait to see your 2024 journal all complete soon ☺️

@@thehoneyreads I believe it's the wonderstruck in blue. I will eventually. My son is going to help me as I am technologically illiterate anymore.
I also have the 8x8 Frame Wall journal! ❤
It’s so beautiful! As soon as they released this design I knew it had to be my journal for 2025 😂
Me too!
Very cool
thank you! ☺️

Yeah, but she’s using what she has, instead of going out and buying more.
Soooo many books end up in the landfill and at recycling centers, I would rather they be reused for something beautiful.
