I'm just finishing up transition and they've changed our assignments now! Mahara is no more and we submit everything through Canvas instead! And assignment wise, we had: The Sentinel Moment Reflection A reflection on Te Tiriti and an application of one article to our care of a patient Comprehensive Client Assessment w/ your CE The Case study- although it was mainly focusing on patient details, presenting complaint, PMHx, Diagnosis (patient and nursing perspective), objective data related to patients presentation, medications w/ x2 analysed and with pharmacodynamics, analyse the current nursing interventions/ treatment/plan, and finally a Critical reflection on nursing care about what you think could have been improved/or was missing from the care you provided, and what would you do differently in future. Plus the usual midway and final feedback from precceptors, and the Competence self-assessment documents!
Thanks for watching and supporting me and my channel, lovely! And thank you for sharing the new assignment formats! This will be so helpful for other nursing students at AUT who haven't done them yet :) Congrats on finishing your transition placement - you're almost there and you've got this!
Hi I always watched your videos and its really good. Would you mind to tell what topic tutor cover in 2 nd year first semester for praxis please 🙏 thank you
Hi there! From what I remember, we were covering pathophysiology, specifically COPD, asthma, TBI, myocardial infarction and cardiovascular disease, diabetes, preeclampsia, stroke etc. We also covered community nursing :)
In New Zealand, it's an investment scheme for kiwis which you, your employer and the government put money into to help you save up for your first home or for retirement! Hope this helps!
Does AUT go through the ACE/job application process with 3rd year students closer to the end of the year? That's the bit I'm nervous about - What happens after states 🥴
AUT goes through ACE at the start of your final semester before you go on placement and they have a couple of lectures about it to help you through! Then you have four weeks to get all your ACE applications sorted and submitted so by the time you sit the states exam, you'll have had interviews, found out if you got a job, or know that you're going into the talent pool so you don't have to stress so much :) Hope this helps lovely!
Hi lovely, most people in my nursing cohort managed just fine with a laptop, myself included! As long as the device you buy has something you can write notes and search online for, it doesn't really matter which one you get - get whichever one is going to be the most convenient for you long term and after nursing school :)
Congratulations charlotte for hitting 1k subscribers
Thank you so much Hamza! Without your support I couldn't have done it :)
