- Happy Meal toys have been around since 1979, and collectors everywhere have eaten more hamburgers than they can count to collect them all. From McNugget Buddies to Super Mario, there's a McDonald's toy for almost everything, and kids everywhere have fond memories of tearing open plastic baggies at McDonald's to see which prize they got.
While most McDonald's toys aren't worth a whole lot, there are a few that stand out from the crowd, and not all of them even came from Happy Meals. Check your closets! Which McDonald's toys are more valuable than you might think?

I had the whole set of the "transforming" food items, and I cherished them dearly.
I did too but I threw them away
I worked for a McDonalds as a manager and was able to collect the whole set of Tarzan in the early 2000’s. It had different pieces that when connected, created a whole jungle. I sold it on eBay for about $35 back in 2005 or 2006. After I sold it, I found out they were worth a lot more. I wasn’t looking to make money from them but just cleaning up and getting rid of stuff. But for being free to me, $35 wasn’t bad at all.
Everything they mentioned was way less valuable than I thought they'd be.
I remember having that whole series of transformable toys, not the Transformer robots but the McDonalds food items. I'm guessing they came out between 1986 and 1990. Have zero clue what i ended up doing with them though
I had the cheeseburger transformer for years. I left it when I left my parent's home 15 years ago.

I have a set of Happy Meal Boxes from when McDonald's was promoting Star Trek: The Motion Picture. The only thing I CAN'T find are the toys that came with the Happy Meals for that promotion.
Actually, the minion crazed started in Despicable Me 2. All toys are hard to find, and from there on, the movies toys afterward are highly collectible
My fiscal responsibility began and ended when I allowed my Mom to sell my Happy Meal Toys from the late 80's early 90's...Pokemon Who? I'm an OG.
My daughter still has her McDonalds food making sets! Her favorite is the fast food set that has a button to push to place your order!

I used to have ALL of the muppets!!! I still have a few left. I also have many others. I'm going to have to find them!!!! They are in a box. I got all the Madame Alexander dolls started in 2000,the year my daughter was born I believe they made them for a few year's it was fun to collect them some I found at Thrift Store's .

kind of a let down. I was expecting some of these to be over $20-$50 other than the special event hot wheel that wasn't even sold at locations. Especially the whole sets going for a $100-some dollars lol

She's trying to make it seem like it's "such big money" but it's ridiculous Noone would have the displays or the whole sets it's impossible (enless they have spent years searching for the whole set -piece by piece or (buying the completed set for $79). It's not worth it at all.
Bs. I just threw a bunch away because they aren't worth much. Just because someone thinks something is worth 200 dollars in their own mind and attempts to sell it for that doesn't mean it actually is.

McDonalds as a whole, is just overrated garbage. their food is terrible. I wouldn't pay 1 penny for a mcdonalds toy.... or anything at mcdonalds for that matter.
