It takes time for this medication to fully get into your system. It needs to accumulate in your body. It worked wonders for me! When you start to feel "normal", feel good, .just know it is the medication leveling out the chemicals in your brain. Just trust the process. You got that this!

Just give yourself time for your body to adjust to the med for at least several weeks. Good for you for reaching out for assistance. Just go with the flow. You can do this!!!!! I have faith in you and very proud of you. 😊👍🏻💜

It’s easy to offer well meaning advice, and I hope you can feel the love in it ultimately. Each persons journey is individual. So honor yourself and know you are loved.
You have a lot of responsibility in your days. With all of that, depression and anxiety aren’t surprising. Look in the mirror every day and tell yourself you are beautiful and good enough. ❣️❣️❣️

I felt better quickly knowing that I had hope and knowing that I was doing something to help myself. Took a week for me to feel so much better. I know it can be a struggle for others to find the correct medicine and dosage, but I hope, like me, you have success💙💙💙

The best advice I can give in regard to medication: be compliant. That sounds simple, but a lot of us internally fight against taking medication. Take it around the same times, in similar situations (with/without food) and see how you feel after a few weeks. Once I started truly being a compliant patient, I noticed a huge improvement in myself. I haven't had a major depressive episode in a long time, and the highs and lows are much less severe. Good luck to you!!

I appreciate you sharing your journey and I’m proud of you prioritizing yourself. For me medication helped me see that there was a way out of the depressive hole I had been in. It made looking forward to the future feel possible again. I also experienced anxiety when starting my medication so much so that it took me weeks to take my first dose. While it helped me I found once I was seeing a way out that I went off the meds and have been managing with acupuncture and massage. Acupuncture has been a complete game changer for me. Each of us is a unique soul and you will find what works best for you and your body.

Hi Rachel! Just watched your latest video and I felt the need to comment. I suffered for years with anxiety and just tried to just live with it. Finally, in my 50’s I decided to seek help. I went to a Psychiatrist who specialized in anxiety disorders. He put me on an antidepressant, Zoloft. The first few weeks were really difficult. The drugs actually amped up my anxiety. But, at the start of the third week I started feeling so much better. This medication has been a Life Changer for me. I actually feel like a normal brain person. (Whatever normal is) Ha! Really hoping your meds help you and you have the same results.
One other thing. In the video you mentioned the pimple like thing on your face. Have you had a dermatologist look at it?? If not, I highly recommend it. They will be able to tell if it’s nothing or something that needs to be removed. Better to be safe.

@SimplyRachelOBare I don’t know if you’re like me, I don’t usually want to know the side effects because my anxiety sometimes will create them lol! Stick with it, as I mentioned, the shift was gradual and not extreme, it just put colour back into my life and brought me back to where I should be and hadn’t been for a while.
I am proud of you for being open to this, I was on it for a year and then was fine. Enjoy the journey 🥰🤗

Ive had treatment resistant depression for decades. Two yrs ago my dr added Dextromethorphan along w Wellbutrin to my regimen. (Dextro is the main ingredient in cough syrup!) When I started Dextro, I felt relief INSTANTLY! So it is apparently what my brain needed. I am beyond gratefull that my lifelong depression and anxiety is now being managed.

Easier said than done, but don’t over think it. The mind is a powerful thing. You can create anxiety that you may believe related to the medication but is due to over thinking about the med😉 Positive thoughts!

Great idea to journal and keep a record about what you're feeling.😊 My daughter was on Wellbutrin for a very short time, she couldn't stand it but I cannot recall the dose. She said it made her feel sick. She had bipolar disorder.
What made my barely growing, fragile hair grow may surprise you. It was breaking off faster than it could grow, getting shorter and shorter. So I took the plunge and decided to dread it thinking MAYBE there would be strength in numbers and it might finally grow. Well, 11 years later I have hair that reaches my calves!! I suspect the constant swing and eventually the weight just naturally increased blood flow but I really have no idea. All I know is it's WAYYYYY longer than it ever was before!!❤
