I had to laugh when he said about seagulls. I did a trip on Monday and got pestered by them and swans.I had to keep them entertained with catapulting floaters elsewhere just so I could cast.I used PVA bags and stringers just to confuse them as everytime I catapulted boilies out they would dive bomb and take half of them.
@@bryn3652 yeah such as depth and topogrophy. The best way to tell what's on the bottom is to leave the lead out and bring it back and see what debris is on it. if it's clean with no debris then you probably found a good gravel spot. Or even a cage feeder, something that will catch debris on it.
It's fished with a lightly balanced pop-up and the braided section is very heavy and supple. This ensures the pop-up section is always presented with the hooklink neatly coiled below.
People been using rigs like that for years, flick rig my ass, he's gotta get is names on one tho, like the Ronnie rig, I was using similar before, I think I read frank Warwick in carp world in the 90s Early 2000s with a 360 rig which is similar with the reverse combe?

Would it not be a bit to buoyant without a bit of tungsten putty or weight??
Quality rig👌
And very effective it is cheers mate
tucked blood knott wasnt it ? surely a bad knott to use on supple braid but better than a blood knott
nice to hear someone say you cant actually feel a lead down and tell what the bottom is, always known that was bollocks from experience...
Same mate
You can't know exactly but of course you get some information about the lake bed

A hinge stiff rig with soft boom then lol could just said that at the start
The hook is the difference....I use them all the time....straight eyed is important for me...
Hinge stiff rig then.whats the difference ??
Its not got the stiff element. Thats the difference.
It’s not stiff
Its got a big longshank and its not stiff
Certainly better than the crap Ronnie rig....
Another crap rig
I think you misspelt carp
Better than a crap Ronnie !!
