Czech Republic is pretty underrated. My dad hates Czechs because of their cops (an infamous stereotype of boomers), but I have way different experiences - the police is okay, people are nice in general, there is less rush on the roads (than in PL), and there's a lot of various interesting things to explore in this country. My recomendation about Czech Rep. - the road I-52 south of Brno, through the lakes, is marvellous - I'd like to have a stay there soon. Also the region of Liberec is worth checking out.
What's wrong with our cops, in your dad's opinion? I'm not defending them, but I've always thought of them as pretty average (nothing special, we're not talking rocket scientists obviously, but not particularly terrible either) 😉
@@chachar7458 Polish or Polish-born (I'm not Polish, but I live here) boomer drivers think that Czech cops are biased about Polish cars... which is nonsense, it's them driving recklessly (like they can't keep their driving madness in Poland), and several times I was overtaking an undercover at 140-145 kph, and they did not give me any ticket.
@@RooiGevaar19 Ah, I see. I don't think they're biased, they'll ticket people who drive recklessly wherever they're from. And unfortunately, often when we see a really reckless driver here (I'm not talking about a bit of speeding, but genuinely dangerous behaviour) it's quite often a car with Polish plates... I hope you manage to visit South Moravia soon and enjoy a stay there, it's a lovely part of the country.
6:43 - they changed this sign to WROCLAW, NÁCHOD, JAROMĚŘ last year because it was really confusing… 6:36, 6:43, 6:45 a lot of people overlooked those tiny signs so they thought WROCLAW and NÁCHOD is straight forward, but its not… Jaroměř I/33 bypass will hopefully be completed this year, so it will be changed back to the state as in the video.
Czech here - the black-on-white signs indicate local destinations such as neighborhoods of individual cities, in this case the Hradec Králové suburb of Plotiště. White-on-blue signs indicate municipalities as a whole, e.g. the city of Šumperk.
Another Czech here - just to add, green signs mean it's a motorway. In some countries green means motorway (CZ, Italy, a few more), in other countries it's blue (Poland, Austria, France, Spain...)
A very useful and necessary section of the road, it is a pity that the Jaromer bypass is only now under construction for 1 family. This is plus the Nachod bypass and the transit traffic will take place towards Poland. The extension as R11 to S3 does not bring anything to those going to Opole and those regions of Poland, e.g. in transit from Central Germany.
It will work perfectly with future S5 which will be built not so distantly from today's national roads 34 and 35. This road will connect S3 with Wrocław road system (A4, S8, existing part of S5). Unfortunately we have to wait 10-12 years from now for this road.
We have a problem with a farmer who is blocking any construction of the D11 motorway... Unfortunately, the Czech laws are pretty much playing into the hands of the construction opponents and the speed of the authorities is snail-like.
What a wonderful view....Love from India
A fan of Everything but the Girl! Nice to see...!

@@RooiGevaar19 well its true that polish drivers have a bad reputation here :) to be honest, but ofcourse the percentage is gonna be about the same

What is the white-on-black text indicate as opposed to blue-oe-white text at 3:35?

In general black-on-white text means a district, suburb, industrial zone, or a local road (in some countries).

So many different guard rail-types that i never seen before here in germany and the roads are much better!
Heb jij geld teveel?
Hopefully , would drive on these roads watching local landscape as a German expat by 2023 by God's grace...
Dear Czechs, please make this road finally end to the polish soil. Polish S3 will be finished next year, czech D11 probably 2027, ridiculous😭

Unfortunately, there is bureaucracy. Only our state fought with the farmer for land for 16 years! This delayed the construction of the D11 motorway
