in my area tap water ph is 7.8 can I keep discus. if no then can I add guava driftwood to reduce ph till 6.5 or 7 suitable for discus it will work or not.

Thank you for your diy tips.. you got me inspired and I am doing it with guava tree, but the problem is the branches were chopped 3-4 months ago and its still not completely dried up.
My query is, how will I know its completely dried up from inside, though the tips of the cutouts area are dried. The cutoff are of not so thick branches so sound test might not happen!!! Then how do I confirm?

If they are not acidic and poisonous then you can youe it's wood but make sure that it is totally dried up and have 0% of gell in it and then you have to cure it properly then you can use ki

The tank behind you is way to over stocked and the turtles will probably bite the fins of the oscars and other fish. There is also no basking area for the turtles.

i have a question on this drift wood topic ,
i have big garden and 3 years ago a guava tree (amrood ka pedh) was died and it was cutted from that time few branches of it stored side of garden so now after 3 years its fully dried i rubbed all dirt from it and putted in cold water to srink but its floating, so my question is did i done right thing ? is that much old dried wood is good for aquarium ? please guide me. im making 1st aquarium trying to do things perfectly .

Yes it is good but you have to boil it first 2 hrs then keep it in water for some months then it will sink
