I'm maybe sorry for going there, but I'm deeply sorry for Ms. Etheridge's loss of her son. It was incredibly generous and selfless of you to talk about your loss and so soon afterwards, to speak for awareness and treatment for those with opioid addictions. I'm so sorry for that terrible loss she experienced.

This is insanely good omg. I love this song. One of the 3 people I’d wish I’d seen live because of how good she is live. Queen, Melissa and No Doubt. I have recordings and TH-cam to see ME in concert but it’s not the same. As an old guy now this brings me so much joy and happiness. Thank you Melissa for recording these even if I’m only seeing them in 2024. You are my 2nd favourite female voice behind Amy Lee of Evanescence but better live than them.

I WILL NEVER BE THE SAME: . . . . . I met Ms Etherridge in the mid 90s. I was on a student music committee at the major university in Missouri*, and she was the performer we were lucky enough to score. ....... I was a member of the student LGBT group too, and Ms. Etheridge was so kind and considerate to state during her show that we were having a showing of the Names Project, AIDS .Memorial Quilt. ........ She had just come out a year earlier, , and riding the fame-wave from that, and her GREAT "Yes I Am"" had dropped and she was in the spotlight. ......... I can't remember if her show was before or after the release of "Your Little Secret". ................ Anyway, it was the best-attended FREE show MU had put on, and ppl turned away at the door because of a reached maximum capacity. .................. I was a big fan then and still, and her work still holds-up as the best. ............... P.S. SOOooooo miss MUSIC VIDEOS, though she had repeatedly said back-in-the-day she hated making them. .. (Missouri is a '' square state ", think * dominion of the Deplorables *, Hawley-country, and a state over from ME's birthplace.)
I had also come from K-State, Kansas, right next to a major military base, and most of my LGBT friends were lesbian / bi women still dealing with the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" BS. I rocked in a very VH1-sorta way, and we talked about her for days, and i knew all the half-truths and rumors, too, but i won't tell so don't you ask !

What I SO love about ME is that no matter who she is covering, and she sure does them justice, she still cannot NOT be Melissa Etheridge! I have been following this chick since she hit the scene - every SoFl live show, all her albums, and now the past year of these glorius personal concerts... and love every moment. One day I'll make that cruise! Rock On ME!!
