Hey great video... is there a way to tag each variable so that I can continue to market other similar products to them. Example: People who buy orange large lamp and I want to target only them with Custom Large Lamps via email campaign?
Yes, you can use WooCommerce's built-in features along with email marketing tools like Mailchimp or Klaviyo to tag customers based on their purchases. Set up automation rules in your email marketing platform to tag customers who purchase specific variations of your products, such as "orange large lamp." Then, use these tags to target them with customized email campaigns promoting similar products, like "Custom Large Lamps." This allows for targeted marketing based on customer preferences and purchase history.
Thanks for the helpful tutorial. I also appreciated the one on shipping. However, I am struggling with a shipping problem. I will be drop shipping stretched and rolled canvas prints of my own art beginning with the USA. The sizes and shipping costs for these prints vary. specifically. Each art image is listed on my Woo Commerce site like your lanterns. I have the shipping amount for each depth and measurements, but cannot find a way to configure different shipping rates for a single product's variable item. If the cost for shipping your large lantern, your small lantern and your medium lantern differed, how would you handle that? Thanks.
Hey, To handle different shipping rates for a single product's variable item in WooCommerce, you can use the "Table Rate Shipping" plugin. This allows you to set up different shipping rates based on product variations like size and weight. Feel free to drop your questions in the comments.
Hey! Each variation should have a custom SKU if you want to track inventory and sales separately for each variant (like different sizes or colors). If you don't need detailed tracking, you can keep a consistent SKU across variations, but it's generally better to use unique SKUs for better organization. Feel free to drop your questions in the comments below.
Is there any way to make 2nd drop down conditional, means if I selected size 'M' then I'll show only 2 available colors, but if selected size is 'L' then I can show 4 available colors. is there any way to do this?
Hey! To create conditional dropdowns based on product variations like size and color in WooCommerce, you can use a plugin like Advanced Product Fields for WooCommerce or WooCommerce Variation Swatches. These allow you to show specific colors based on the selected size. Feel free to drop your questions in the comments below!
Hi there, How can I create WooCommerce linked variations to group different product links together according to attributes such as size, color, etc.? Thanks.
Hey! To create linked variations in WooCommerce, go to the product edit page, select "Variable product," and add attributes like size and color. Then, create variations from these attributes and link them together. Feel free to drop your questions in the comments.
@Midorefooo it's not use at all really. The only thing I use it for is to mark orders complete. And I'm pretty sure there's code or plugins to automatically mark orders as complete.
Is there any way to add a product addition to the main product and increase the price example If I have a computer and I want to add HDD, graphics card mouse keyboard etc, how can I do that in a way that it adds to the total price for every item picked ?
Hey! To add product options like HDDs, graphics cards, or keyboards and have them adjust the total price, use WooCommerce Product Add-Ons. This plugin lets you create additional fields for product options and set prices for each option, which will be added to the total price. You can customize it to suit your needs and manage options effectively. Feel free to drop your questions in the comments below.
Hey! For bulk variable products, you can still use the WooCommerce CSV importer. Just make sure to structure the CSV correctly by including parent products and their variations in the same file. Tools like WP All Import can also help automate this process for larger imports with ease. Feel free to drop your questions in the comments below!
hey , Go to `WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping` and disable the shipping calculator. Then, edit your course product, go to `Product Data > Shipping`, and check "Virtual". This will remove the shipping method at checkout. Feel free to drop your questions in the comments!
Yes, you can display the color swatch instead of text for variable product attributes in WooCommerce. You'd typically use a plugin or custom code to achieve this. If you're using a plugin, ensure it supports this feature. If not, you might need some custom coding to achieve the desired result.
Hey! If you have thousands of products in a CSV file, you can bulk import them into WooCommerce using the built-in product CSV importer. It allows you to upload all products at once, including variable products, without doing it one by one. Just make sure your CSV is properly formatted for WooCommerce! Hey! Haha, I guess we’re all playing it safe with those 2 attributes! But hey, if you’re feeling adventurous, go ahead and add as many as you want-WooCommerce can handle it! 😎 Feel free to drop your questions in the comments below.
Dude, I've been following you for years, and with all the AI stuff coming out, this is what you choose to talk about? Variable products?? There's probably already 1,000 videos on that. No shade, but if you are not giving your followers up-to-date "trending" information on new software and technology, you'll be left behind.
@darrelwilson I'm just saying this topic of variable products has been done to death. My opinion is, if anybody has been using Wordpress for the last 6 months, right now, they're looking for AI integrated plugins. The days of manually doing things are nearing its end. Soon, there will be AI plugins for everything, and no one will be searching for videos like this. So these videos will be a waste of your time. I watch your videos, I love your videos, so there's no shade. But personally, my attention has redirected towards AI. We are getting closer and closer to where someone will be able to vocally tell an AI application how they want their site, and the AI will build it instantly. When that happens, EVERY ONE'S non AI videos will be worthless. Just my thoughts.
@keldguldhammer592 Wordpress' trajectory is headed for the gravesite. AI sites will soon be the norm and non one will be searching for his videos. FACTS. I'm not a hater, I'm trying to help.

nope, they can only add the quantity after they have selected the variation

What is the difference between grouped products and variable products????
A variable product has variation, such as size or color and a group product can only add basically size in increments
Is it possible you can make the color from text to the actual color?
