Hi Darrel, thanks for the video. Any automated way to get them to buy a minimum of six units of the products offered in the bundle? Either several units of one product or six different products?
Hey! You can use a plugin like Min/Max Quantities for WooCommerce to set minimum purchase requirements for grouped products. It lets you enforce a rule like buying at least six units, whether they’re the same or different products.
Hello Derrel Wilson thank you so much for the lesson you’ve been of great help to me. I have a question in a case where I decide to categorize other products in the grouped products and let these products appear in other categories. When search Engine Crawls this products will this products be deemed as dublicate content ?
Hey! Grouped products won’t cause duplicate content issues as long as each product has a unique description, title, and metadata. Search engines will treat them as separate items, even if they appear in multiple categories. Feel free to drop your questions in the comments below!
Hey! To bundle two products as one single product with a single price, you can use the Product Bundles extension in WooCommerce. Go to Products > Add New and select Product Bundle from the product type dropdown. Add the two products you want to bundle and set a combined price. Alternatively, for basic bundles, you can also use Grouped Products, but Product Bundles is more flexible for pricing. Feel free to drop your questions in the comments below.
Hey! Variable products let customers choose options like size or color within a single product listing, while grouped products combine separate but related products (like T-shirts and caps) on one page for bulk selection. Each serves a different purpose. Hope that clears it up!
Is there a way to have a set price on a grouped product and not range price “60-130”. I need to show the price of the cheapest product and then when you enter the product you see the other prices
Hey! To show a single price for a grouped product in WooCommerce, you can use a plugin like "WooCommerce Grouped Product Price". This allows you to display the price of the cheapest product in the group on the shop page. When the customer clicks on the grouped product, they'll see the prices of the individual products within the group. You can also manually adjust the price display using custom code if needed. Feel free to drop your questions in the comments below!
Thank you but one more thing, when I create a new product to add to the grouped product I choose hidden. Now you can’t search for it but when you enter the grouped product you can press on one of the products and a new tab opens up with that product. Is that because the website isn’t fully developed or is there something else I could do to hide these products?
So it uses the product name for the grouped options? in the iPhone example if you have multiple iPhones which have same storage options how do you make multiple products with the same name for example "128GB"
Hey! For grouped products in WooCommerce, you can differentiate them by adding variations like color or model alongside the storage option. For example, you can name them "iPhone 12 - 128GB" and "iPhone 13 - 128GB." This way, even if the storage is the same, each product has a unique identifier. Feel free to drop your questions in the comments below!
I’m working with group but it’s not working the way I need. It groups them, has a price range and selectors for how many. I’m trying to set a group for a web design package. One selection for the package 1, and option for a hosting plan for package1. Then group package 2 and it’s options. Or am I doing it all wrong?
Hey! It sounds like you might need to use a combination of grouped products and variable products to achieve your goal. For each web design package, create it as a variable product with options for hosting plans. Then, you can group these variable products together to create the grouped product. This way, each package with its specific options is clear and organized. Feel free to drop your questions in the comments.
Hi Darrel, normally I would use sizes in variable products. I've never used grouped products before. When is it better to use variable and grouped products?
I do the same what u did in video, but I can't find the product to add into the Grouped Products (it always said "no matches found" when I tried to search the products)
Hey! If you're having trouble finding products to add to a Grouped Product in WooCommerce and seeing "no matches found," make sure the individual products you want to group are already published and set to "Simple Product." If they are set as "Variable Products" or "External/Affiliate Products," they won't show up in the search for grouped products. Double-check your product settings, and if the issue persists, try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser. Feel free to drop more questions in the comments below.
To create a grouped product with variations in WooCommerce, first set up your individual products with their variations. Then, create a new grouped product and add the individual products to it as linked products. This will allow customers to choose variations when they view the grouped product.
Hey! It may look like a variable product, but it's actually a grouped product. I recommend watching the video again to see how it's set up step-by-step. Feel free to drop your questions in the comments below.
Hi Darrel, thanks for all your helpful videos how do i create a product page that shows the different years, make and model of the same product. Please help for reference see real truck website product page🙏🏾 thanks for ur positive response in advance.
Hey! Thanks for watching! To create a product page like RealTruck use WooCommerce's variable product feature. You can create attributes for year, make, and model and then assign variations to each product. This will allow users to select their specific vehicle options. @@darrelwilson thanks for your response 🙏🏾 do you have a video i could watch that will help me out with this. I already watched your variable product video. But i can’t assign it to a specific product.
Creating variations in WooCommerce allows you to offer different options (like size or color) for a single product, enhancing the shopping experience by giving customers more choices directly within one product page. Grouped products are more suited for selling related products together, while variations are ideal for different versions of the same product.

And the answer is…. When filling out the form, select inventory, then check the allow single product button. That will remove the quantity selector.
