It works both ways I definitely wouldn’t be hip to alot of what I like without the internet but i respect the history from people that were really there. It’s definitely all about how you present yourself I just like what I like the average person could care less about anything I’m wearing or it’s history like you said everything isn’t for everybody.

I wore South Pole in Jr High but I also was buying my sneakers and would use that 20% off from big sis to cop my uptowns and my Barkley's 😂

You ain’t never lie fam. Growing up in Philly back in the 90s we saw all the fly clothes and videos and all hood ish that made our culture what it has become. Now we have the younger generation wanting to reenact our culture and style. Yet they simply can’t do it like us. Not to mention the WP got into our culture and killed it of course. Then they think they are doing something great with these sneakers deals and making trash most of the time and it was really the only way THEY could try to be in OUR culture! Knowing that OGs like us who lived it aren’t going for the BS!! Peace 7!

    "Everything retro is not fire!"
Thank you! For these words brother, somebody needed to say something! Nike just pulling shit out from the graveyard, shoulda let a lot of them shits R.I.P.!
    * You mean retro, not vintage. Vintage would be like the original pairs, retro are the remakes, basically Nike bootlegs they own shit, with cheaper materials.

No lie . It has changed. Back then the perception was more appealing. I found it so strange watching the TH-camrs of today . Not to be a ahole but I can’t take them serious just from seing their appearance. You just not going to listen to someone who isn’t fly

My Father used to take me around Atlanta all the time and walters was my main go to, the first and only moms and pops store to stay open in the state and they had the ogs we talk about still sitting in the back in a different box catching dust tans. Standing in lines wasn't that bad in the early 2000s in atlanta i mean there was fights and shootings if there was a reason to but that was a norm in atlanta, being on the east side i was no stranger to dice games and bags of items that we aint gone talk about, my father wasn't a gangster but he knew a plenty that had his back . Shoes came into play mainly when my uncle was always having the whole og sets with the collectors cards and fresh boxes he used to give me the pairs he had worn once and tell me to take good care of em. Back in 2010 i started my craze for fye shit sneakers, leather jackets, my mom and father loved to put me in sweaters so it opened my eyes to throw on some jeans with a nice sweater or striped shirt with the air forces. I think the lines wouldn't be a problem if they'dda just kept the moms and pops that actually cared for us instead of corporations that are looking for the next buck to backdoor early which yes mom anf pops did it for the community but not for the buck mainly it was the fun knowing that you gave this kid an early pair that he's excited to walk around tomorrow in school in.

I know I comment on every got damn vid 😂 . . But I love these nostalgic convos. Especially from your POV because I’m 38 so your the age group that I grew up looking at waiting to get some paper to be fly like y’all which still inspires me today. I grew up right outside of Philly so I got to see the whole tri state area when it comes to style. Don’t nobody do it better than the East Coast !
Fun fact. I could be wrong but to my knowledge I think the Vasque boots might be just a NY/NJ thing. I literally never seen those in my life until I found ya page about 2 years who. Now I want a pair 😂.
Anyway love the channel bro keep these discussions comin 🙌🏾🫡

Yup, from Polo eyeglass frames, to the fly oss Rican gurls from NY wearing clean white Lottos to J 4's (cement), bringing us good game here in PA hoods with the newest slang doctrine. The culture had some of us glowing grand immaculate aura of luxurious splendor.
