I appreciate more of these formats coming out recently. One can have so much theology and apologetics that we may forget the cloud of witnesses our Church provides. I don’t need to be convinced to be a part of the Church, rather I need to be nurtured in it and shown that I am not alone in the faith. There are so many great stories the Church provides and so many forgotten saints that need remembering. Peace and blessings to continue the format.
My son is developmentally disabled, and one thing that I will tell you from experience is that it is really really difficult to find a church that knows what to "do with" him. Most churches don't put any thought into what to do to preserve the experience and spiritually of adults with lower cognitive function. This fact alone has driven many parents of kids in the Facebook group for my son's condition away from church. It is very heartwarming to hear a story of God using someone that doesn't sound all to different from my son to humble proud pastors and exonerate excellent exegetes of sacred scripture. Thank you. I think I needed this.
As a former protestant I felt the same way just from being from a different walk of life. My mother is a diagnosed psychopath and , for years, we didn't know. The trauma left behind was so extensive and encompassing that it's safe to say alot of people didn't have the same upbringing. I remember people would talk about their own struggles like," my parents divorced when I was 18," or," I dropped out of school cause it was difficult." Whenever I would talk about my experiences no one would know what to say. It would get awkward to the point of quietly shunning. Like I wouldn't be invited to things . Since my conversion back to the Catholic Church I not only find saints but people with similar lives. It makes me glad seeing not only all races on Sunday receive the eucharist but the developmentally disabled. Physically disabled, people with dementia, and all that. That, conjoined with the parish I attend being pretty conservative makes me proud of my Church. The Catholic Church is probably the most inclusive place without sacrificing its morals.
@mememe1468 💕🙌🏽 I wish my own experiences with Roman Catholic Churches mirrored yours. I'm glad you've found a place where you are welcomed, accepted, and valued.
Friend, Our story’s are very similar - never let a bad parish or priest stop you from attending. I’ve had a French priest try to refuse my child communion,we’ve been on pilgrimages where “ pilgrims” tutted and tried to ssshhh my disabled child. but I’ve also had great priests - 1 who would break the host into a smaller piece so my child could swallow it. We also have a wonderful priest now who once having not spoken to him in a few weeks grabbed his opportunity when we met and enquired why my child wasn’t at mass 3 Sundays before- he had the flu then but it was the greatest comment I’ve ever received about my child - our kids are blessings , special and as important as everyone else - if we’re lucky enough to get to heaven it’ll be because of our wonderful kids. God Bless .
@avechristusrex9758 I'm in a small town. I've only got one choice, and I'm not of my own conviction drawn to the Roman Catholic Church. We attend the local Methodist Church because the previous pastor there also had a child with a chromosomal abnormality and knew how to make room for us. Had the Catholic Church done that, I would have done there what I do here: read theology books while the pastor does whatever they do. It's not worth driving an hour to get exactly the same thing just because it's a different denomination that I don't entirely agree with.
@@ShaunCKennedyAuthor luckily I never had the problem of belonging- I did tire with nearby Novus Ordo churches and felt some parishes were too cheesy and irreverent - for me its definitely worth the extra journey to attend the nearest TLM. Good luck with your son and everything else brother 👍🙏
This is the Literal example of "For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted" if we account St. Joseph humble beginning before he became a Priest. 😊😊
One of the countless things I love about the saints. A lot of them were viewed as nothing by societal standards, but they were chosen by God to exercise His power. 🥺🤩
For personal reasons hes 1 of my favourite saints - 1st visited Cupertino sanctuary 4 yrs ago and have been trekking back there every year since - his sanctuary is a special place with many of his relics and his heart on display. Loved the video - thankyou .❤
As an Aviator 👨🏽✈️, he’s my profession’s patron saint! And the whole world flies today ✈️; so, let’s ask Pope Francis to put St Joseph of Cupertino BACK on the Universal Church Calendar! Amen? And I quote St Joseph of Cupertino in my little book “On Wings & Prayers: 1,001+ Quotes for a Happy Flight and Happy Life”. 🛫 🚀 😎
Somehow this documentary made me cry, the whole journey is just beautifully narrated. I'll be honest I've never really been into your stuff before but this kind of documentary has officially made me a fan. Looking forward to more stories like this!
Thank you Cameron! For the rythm and flow of your speech! I really appreciate how you talk! And also thank you for this episode as it was really great!
I cannot thank you enough and your team for doing this video. This is a a brilliant exposition of a miracle for now one of my favourite saints. I will share this to my friends here in the Philippines. God bless you Cameron and your team 🙏 I will pray for you.
Cameron, this is a fantastic format. Love watching this and including my children. As one commenter mentioned, there are already so many apologetics videos, but something like this that is well documented with good production quality that speaks to the action of Christ's church and the faithful after his Ascension is fantastic and definitely food for faith. I hope you are able to continue on with many more similar videos in the future!
Beautiful video Sounds like he was able to put all his trust into the lord and be humble Only thing that is missing here are his taughts, feelings and struggles from his own point of view. I'm not sure do we as a church have them.
This video is very well made, and we need more like it. I don’t usually comment on videos, but if it helps the algorithm, I’m doing it so more people can see this. Lezzz gooooo!!!! St. Joseph of Cupertino, pray for us and this channel.
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace: where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy. O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. (Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi)
This felt close to my heart because of my special needs son. When he was younger, it seemed like he would be babbling with someone or laughing at something only he could see 😮 I’m very thankful to God for my sons, who will do amazing things in Jesus’ name🙏
I really like this but I think you could put more of the personality of him. There is more to him than just flying. There is an excellent chapter in the book : "Saints for Sinners" -- by Archbishop Alban Goodier. While investigating miracles is really good I think we could see a little more. Just the story of his ordination test was amazing.
Listening to the book They Flew by Carlos Eire on Audible was fascinating. He writes with care about a number of saints. Also, be sure to check out his podcast on Audible which is entitled Christian Mysticism.
Wonderfully done, i think you should do one of St Charbels miracles next. Nohad el Sahmi, or Raymond Naders mircale would be amazing to see in this format.
He’s also the patron of students as the exam he took before his ordination contained all the answers he did not and none of those he didn’t while some of his contemporaries (who were not mentally handicapped) had just the opposite on their exam
That's a misconception. The view of most Protestants is that the Catholics moved away from the correct theology, and that the Protestants are simply moving forward with the reformed theology that has been corrupted. Also, Protestants accept people from various denominations including Roman Catholic as the universal church.
Hi Cameron! Thank you for the beautiful presentation 😍 Would you be able to list your extensive research & recommended readings relating to the topic in your description? Looking forward for more stories like this and maybe colab with Jimmy Akin in the future? 😉
❤ Love the narrative format! It would be wonderful if did videos on pre-reformation saints too! They have so much history and help bind us Christians together.
Love St. Joseph Cupertino! Watch the movie about him w/Maximillian Schnell..it is excellent & funny too! St. Joseph please pray for the stranded astronauts for their safe and speedy return! Amen!
Saint Joseph of Cupertino, please pray for us and for all autistic and neuro-divergent people.
This format has been sorely lacking for lives saints. Thank you.

Cameron Bertuzzi's mysterious world. Finally! Thank you!
One of the countless things I love about the saints. A lot of them were viewed as nothing by societal standards, but they were chosen by God to exercise His power. 🥺🤩
Often those most shunned by the proud seem to end up being the most holy or most chosen for God's work of miracles
The Reluctant Saint is a beautiful story of our brother, this video was greatly appreciated!

Mat 19:26 But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Once you read about this story from historian Dr. Carlos Eire in his book They Flew, it's harder not to believe that these events really happened.
Any specific reasons why you say that?
@@AppalachianPaisano ya gotta read the book 😂
@mememe1468 very helpful, thank you.

Atheists have been real quiet since this dropped.
I've seen David Blaine levitate.😅
What a wonderful Saint! It’s so inspiring.
Known about him and his levitating for awhile, but this is first time hearing his story. Very well done!

Commenting for the algorithm. Beautiful story, thank you for presenting it so effectively. :)
Cameron this was a great video! Jimmy Akin level stuff. Bravo.
As an airline pilot, St. Joseph is my patron too✌️
Remarkable! 😳🤯
St. Joseph of Cupertino, pray for us
This video is wonderful! Saints of Heaven pray for us, and make St. Joseph especially pray for your channel. 🎉

Excellent work Cameron!
The quality of this short documentary is excellent, I subscribed and I’m looking forward to more miracle examinations!
This is a really good format for learning about the Saints.

This the sad thing about Protestants, rejecting the Church they reject 2000 years of Saints and miracles that are all to the glory of God.
That's a misconception. The view of most Protestants is that the Catholics moved away from the correct theology, and that the Protestants are simply moving forward with the reformed theology that has been corrupted. Also, Protestants accept people from various denominations including Roman Catholic as the universal church.
What are you talking about? History began when the KJV fell from heaven.
@ 😂🤣😂
For protestants, and then pentecostals, just a century ago.
I'm Protestant and I don't deny these events. I believe the Lord can work miracles through Christians of any denomination.
Never heard of this saint before. It was really cool to learn about him.
