This song is connected to For the King and Prophecy, an homage to the king of a long dead past whose legend lives on.
Mostly I spend lots of time writing a song and sometimes over-think things. This time however the whole song came out of my head in like a few minutes, from start to end the whole concept was 100% clear within the first moments. I also stayed away from re-writing any melodies this time, so what you hear are „first takes".
Composed and arranged 100% by myself on keyboard, as always.

Just listening to this beautiful piece, seeing the picture and the name, gave me the right mind to write out a poem. I always feel like crying when I hear this wonderful song.

My favourite movie composers have to be 3 people all at rank 1: Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore and John Williams. Hans Zimmer mostly because of his passion for experiments and breaking the rules, Howard Shore for composing maybe the greatest soundtrack that was EVER made (LotR) and John Williams because he is like the grandfather of movie composing, and made absolute masterpieces for more than 5 decades, again and again. I couldn't say who is the "best", they are all masterminds. =)

After the Great war to End Evil was finished, the kingdom was at last set free from the clutches of fear. However, the king who protected his subjects was not destined to watch as his kingdom glowed with relief. As the kingdom realizes that their beloved king is gone, the remain a kingdom with no ruler. They shall become a kingdom who shall look after one another; only in remembrance to their beacon of hope, the king.

it shares a similar theme as for the king but with the opposite tone, rather following a king into battle for glory you pay homage to a fallen hero who brought his country to glory and prosperity while keeping the peace. A salute to you Adrian.

I was trying to write a poem,i wrote the first 3 lines but i got stuck and i didn't had the inspiration to continue,so i searched a song by Adrian von Ziegler and the first one that i have chosen was the one that filled me with inspiration and helped me finish it,this song..I find it amazing how much emotion inspiration and feeling i find in every single one of your songs Adrian,so i just wanted to thank you!! Seriously, we play all these Celtic songs at the background with my fiancée while we write our fantasy story, there is a song that fits all situations our crazy brains come up with. We are secretly (not so much anymore) hoping that our story could be made into a TV series someday, and if that would ever come true, you sir are certainly the number one choice to be the main composer ^^ Far fetched dream from two 20-something people, but still. Damn, I wish I could compose something.

Dear god it's wonderful I close my eyes and I can see a huge green valley, with many trees, and forests, I can see also many rivers, and people dancing under a bright spring or summer night sky without any clouds, just the moon and the stars, with a light and sweet wind, this music is wonderful

Pontious, Amadeus and Zoya looked about the ruins in Shadowthorn Thicket and gazed upon the valley bottom where the Fangle forest stretched forever on with the Throne of the Kings on the mountain to the West.
They felt at peace
Zoya had felt sadness and joy ever since she stepped into the ruins and it would be slow to fade.
Pontious felt like the Guardians of old were watching him and he felt obliged to do battle in their name.
Amadeus felt the magic of the ruins, though the Earthquake that had rocked the pedestal had removed many charms he felt a resonant channel of age here.
For the king we fought...A gallant war standing as one. With dreams for a land of the free we battled. In immortal blood our souls be remembered. as our sons and daughters pay ode to the fallen. It is the end my brothers. Today we fight and die. As we pray we must remember our honor. Pick up your blades and take stance look to the throne one last time. hail to the king for whom died for us and us for him.

Celtic musik is the one of best types of musik on the world
To me this feels like the King returning from a hard fought war, losing many in the battle but coming out as the victor, and as he strolls through the streets towards his Castle, everybody cheers for him, but the great loss weighs heavily on his mind. Was it worth sacrificing so many and losing more? Looking at their faces, they don't know yet, but he must remain strong, he fights the tears and sits on his throne once more.
