- Sometimes the best way to fly through weather is to listen to your fellow pilot in front of you and what they are doing.

I did not know You moved from Punta Gorda to Ft Laurderdale ? I like the West Coast of FL much better than the East. I lived in N Ft Myers for 20 years and went to Your old airport in PG.
I was at FXE before moving to PGD and work had brought me back to FXE. I do miss the PGD airport.
I buddy hope you are well. Nice to see you doing a awesome flight. Take care and keep safe philip. Happy flying buddy phil.
Nice informative video working around weather..Nice touch with the silent space and adding of the soft smooth music in background as you went through cloud coverage....Felt a slow and steady vibe... Excellent video Kris..👍🏼
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching.
Good responsible navigation
Great editing: the music as you showed the beautiful clouds breaking out! Perfect choices to highlight the view; to let us experience Mother Nature at her best.
Thank you.
I was watching aviation 101. They came to Daytona to redo their engine intake and muffler. It gained them more power and better mpg in their aircraft
Great job of dodging the weather!
Nice flight Kris! I enjoyed watching you thread your way around the weather and working it with ATC.
Thank you and thanks for watching.
At 16:08 almost flying right over me. As usual Great info flight. Old statement “Arms too short to box with Mother Nature”
Way too short! 😂
How about some talk about your aoa hud on the top of the panel
Happy Father’s Day Kris! Great video!
Thank you. You too!
A bit longer, but smoother out of the soup than in it. Wise anticipated, being ahead of the aircraft folks. Good flying bud.
A good training video, you must be flexible when it comes to weather! !! !!!
12:34 Is that what they mean when they say _hard water?_
Thanks for showing of the radar/radio altimeter. I was curious how it performed on N3175W. Such a useful tool, it would give me an extra level of comfort when descending in IMC to minimums.
Why did the warning flag get indicated on takeoff? Is the system not designed for that phase of flight?
Great flight, Thanks.
Thanks for watching.
Always nice to ride along with you and this flight was no exception. Thanks for putting these together for us all to enjoy and I'll see you in the next one.
Thank you for always coming along!
Hi Kris being from Florida do you know any private pilots that will transport someone. Myself and wife are getting off a cruise in Miami and need to go the Villages and trying to make it easier and not to expensive then going through all the airport crap. Thanks in advance
That was a fun flight.
Okay, this might be my fav video of yours, and that's saying a lot. Maybe because I'm early into pursuing my instrument rating (25% thru the Sporty's ground course, only one I-capable flight so far, with a CFI, though)? But I found the ADM discussion especially wise and helpful, will likely refer back to this a few times as I work to familiarize myself with using autopilot and the like.
Curious why you seem to have intentionally flown below the glide slope during short final (4 red lights on PAPI, and you mentioned it)? Or were you just commenting on having found yourself a tad low? ("Low and slow" is the easiest way to land our DA20's in short-field ops, and it looked perfectly safe in your video. Though, our local airport lost a different kind of plane hitting a pole on approach recently, actually just about 90 minutes after my wife's lesson was finished! Thankfully no loss of life, just banged-up storage units; not sure whether that was too-low approach, an equipment failure, or what.)
Anyway, at this point it's 100% clear your videos are saving me $$ on training, past and future, so I finally did the Patreon thing.
Hi James.
Thanks for joining my Patreon family. 🍻 I am glad you find this and other videos helpful and educational. My goal is always to achieve a mix of entertainment with educational without trying to be a training video.
I ducked below the VASI because my hangar is on the south west corner of the airport. I wanted to see if I touched down earlier if I could turn off before the crossing runway without burning my brakes. As a aircraft owner I think about the cost of applying brakes when not needed. 😂
Don’t mess with Mother Nature…good rule of thumb for pilots. Might I add, don’t be afraid to ask ATC to deviate. Are you keeping 3175W at Ft Lauderdale Exec now?
I agree. ATC is your friend!! Yes I’m at FXE now.
Where did you get the eagle that is on the dash?
No, as fun as it is to watch you fly. You need the wife, banter is great content. But truly enjoyed watching you fly...
How do you think I feel? 😉 And based on the views, you are not alone. 😂
at 00:36 looks like the nose wheel needs some air or is that just camera angle ?
Nose wheel does that sometimes. I once had someone flag me down as I was taxing. I shut it down and checked it but the pressure was good. 😂🤷🏻♂️
Nice shades!
😎
how's Kim's wrist??? hope is is getting plenty of ground school towards her PPL training
What are the two little boxes with opening tops on either side of your mascot?
Alpha Systems AOA
When the controller says ident and climb to 4000, how can they be sure where you are (when they've asked for an ident) and if you're safe to climb and not conflict with other traffic?
GOOD JOB MAN KEEP IT UP ..............
Thanks
So, on a flight like this, what was the purpose? Freight? Passengers?
I just sent an email to a new CFII here at KFMN to see if I can start my instrument training again. He's pretty busy but I'm hopeful that he will have room for me. As long as I've been following your channel I've been trying to find someone to do my instrument training and the aircraft for it. Crossing my fingers...
Fingers are crossed. Hi look forward to you getting your instrument rating.
@@BaronPilot The CFII emailed me back! I should start toward the end of this month!!!!! Insert happy dance here!!! I've been on this journey since 2018 and it's finally coming together...
Ordinarily there’s a tone when the autopilot is disconnected, but I didn’t hear one when you disengaged it on short final on this flight (26:17). Does 75W not have that, or is the tone simply not picked up by the recording equipment?
No tone with the old Century III autopilot. There is a click that I can hear but not through the headsets.
@@BaronPilot Interesting. Thanks. Now about those AoA indicators on the dash... 🤔
What’s the difference between the swaps of Florida and the open ocean?
There's no Gators in the ocean.
@@petet968 no just sharks
Exactly!! The ocean is probably more survivable. 😂
Elm Lake?
Are the kingfishers always $200? i want a pair but damn thats not cheap
You just missed the Pre-Order Sale. They were 20% off. I would suggest emailing support@baronpilotshop.com Today to see if you can still get that price.
What tilt on the radar do you use when cruising at these lower altitudes?
I am usually about 8 up.
Very interesting flight. I'm curious about the air scoop in front of the tail. Is that for the yaw dampener?
That is for fresh air in the cabin.
@@BaronPilot Thanks, I would never have thought that.
Is your steam altimeter low by 325ish ft? Great videos keep up the great work!
Depending on altitude it does show a slightly different reading then the Aspen.
Hey what title to the music is playing around the 4:40 mark??Love that music..
You guys ok?
How can I get the same lock screen Pic you have on your phone?
When you move out of your mom’s basement you may meet a nice woman too. Then I will teach you how to take great pictures. 😜😂
A quick Venmo payment will suffice🤑🤑
@@flyingsic Hope your wrist is doing better. Loved the pink cast. One time I had a broken ankle and so had a blue cast. They replaced it and only had glow in the dark material. My kids thought is was great when my cast would glow at the cinema.
Love when its a solo flight, all about flying only
I love your videos where is Kim.
She was home waiting for me.
Which Aspen unit do you have?
The Basic E5
Hey, In case you're interested in feedback, The flying content versus non-flying content in this video was great. As in all flying and nothing else. If you're not interested in feedback. I completely understand. I wouldn't be either. lol
Dumb question but what are the two "things" on either side of your dash compass? Are they antennas?
Those are transparent Alpha Systems AOA indicators.
I know Kim is doing ground school now but it weird not seeing her in the right seat.😪
Seems its racing weather alot recently
How high could you have gone to go above the weather on this flight?
In the Baron I usually wont go above 12,000
Why did you move then????????
👍
When the weather gets bad I'm staying on the ground unless I'm in an airliner
Nothing wrong with that. Everyone needs to understand their capabilities and have their own personal minimums. 👍🏼
Zyou look so lonely without SIC!
👍☑️ Even without Kim it's fun to fly with you, tks!
Well, sorta.
@@rhkennerly not saying it wouldn't be much better with her ........

Great video Mark super safe Kim's going to have a great teacher when she has the controls, i used to watch another channel but the guy took too many risks it irritated the crap out of me so i stopped watching, best wishes to you from over the pond.
I’m glad you enjoyed it. You are correct, I do not like taking chances. 😂
