Omg same here! I literally survived high school listening to him and now I’m in my second year of college. It’s crazy seeing how far he’s come. Hope you have a great time at the concert!
I'm almost done with my prerequisites as a sophomore for nursing school but all I want to do is play my guitar 😢Keshi's really inspiring, nursing is just a failsafe for me atp 😓
The bassist from No Vacation is a nurse as well. And she goes on to have a great career in music. At some point, everybody has a day job as they ascend. Nursing is just a more intense version of that notion.
I really love this video !! theres not many videos like this giving keshi credit where its due. he is such an amazing artist. I saw him last year on his hell/heaven tour and recently on his hell and back tour front row, and to see him grow over the years has been an amazing journey!!
Dope video, love keshi. Discovered him at 2022 HITC and I was in complete shock with how amazing he was live with his band. I'm so happy to have discovered his music and also his story is AMAZING!!!
Man, i've been trying to get this youtube thing to work. I've got 17k subs, but have been working as an elementary teacher and am in my last semester of college. It's killing me.
How exactly did he “break the immigrant mindset?” He just got famous and is continuing to make music. Loads of immigrants are famous whether they live in the US or not. This video is just the story of his upcoming into the music scene.
Kinda crazy that you guys view the immigrant mindset in a negative way. Succeeding with everything stacked against you. Grinding to provide for you and your family, making sure that your kids have a better chance at life than you did. Wtf is wrong with you guys.
From what I’ve been reading through the comments- idk maybe I could’ve missed something- it seemed less like people were dissing the Asians mindset than it was shedding light on the way Keshi was able to choose something different than the typical “get a job not cause you love it but to get rich” mindset and follow his dreams, and show more of his version of the immigrant mindset, aka using the opportunities his parents gave him through immigrating here and grinding to make a living to make his own dreams and his own path. Though I can see why it seems that way especially with the lowkey misleading title.
@@malicesu6944 Title says it all. They act as if there are no asian singer or artists. Its not the mindset that's the issue its the people that think there is something wrong with a parents sacrifice so that you can have a better life. How many rappers, artist, singers do you think make it big or even have a little success? The odds are stacked against you and the smart money is to go elsewhere. Which makes what he did even more impressive but shaming what the previous generation did and what they sacrificed for you is not ok.
@@jlee9360 You seem to be gravely misunderstood. Literally no one is shaming the previous generation for sacrificing for us. It's the fact that parents force their dreams onto us, without considering what we want. Are we not our own people?
I discovered him when he was on SoundCloud. Shit is crazy, I'm so happy for him and his success. Seeing his concert in March!

He will get even bigger than he is now. Trust me. He is a gem!

Dude I quit nursing after a year it’s tuff but really not for everyone so if you can spare yourself from getting miserable ITS WORTH IT

But it's the fake Blaccent on the interviewer that makes me cringe
