Just found your channel! I love your videos! I’d love to see more in-depth videos about ancient diseases and illnesses-maybe more align with your period video about how people treated diseases and illnesses
Paleopathology is such an awesome word and field! I've never come across it before but I'm sure I'll be looking for more about it in the future :) Some captions were a little off (at least for me) but this is so cool and I love how you presented it!!
I'm really enjoying these videos. They're all fascinating. It reminds me of some of the work we did in my anthropology course in college and makes me want to return to school. Thank you for not only making your knowledge accessible, but also sharing your enthusiasm for it with us. I became an instant subscriber and I look forward to watching more of your videos 💗
As someone who was recently diagnosed with osteoarthritis, I was interested to hear how often that has shown up in ancient remains! Sorry it's so common and why can't they fix it yet???!
I totally get the frustration! It always surprises me of how some of these things are. and how long we've been dealing with them. I hope you have some avenues of pain relief!
Love your presentation and the unique topic!!! :D I love topics like this and how they context into history it's fascinating! I remember trying to look into Otzi's history once! I was looking for contextual history of gluten, nut, and pollen allergies especailly during froaging eras is super curious for me! As well as connective tissue disorders, and how they were and what they were likely dismissed as! (I got to the bubonic era and then got very confused as a lay-man/hobby learner) I cant wait to see what other topics you cover I feel like it'll be bingeable!
Thanks so much for this kind comment! Ötzi is a favorite on our end too :) We plan on making more plant, animal, and food content this year so stay tuned :)
Hi - i love your ‘lectures’, but find the music so distracting. we go to lectures and listen to teachers our whole educational journey. and, guess what? there’s no music :) you have such terrific information and fund such great illustrations, i’d really like to be able to concentrate better. thanks much for all your work - and have a good (every) day 😋🌿🎋🪻🍃🌷🌱
Thanks for your kind note and feedback. We’ve been constantly tinkering with our background sound levels so I hope it’s not as distracting in our more recent videos.
These videos are fascinating and make me want to learn more. Thank you for sharing this knowledge and research!
Thank you so much for the kind note ☺️

This is super informative!! Are there any chronic diseases that we've seen an increase of now vs back then??
That's a great question! I would have to look into it more. Part of the issue might be tracking and reporting.
Probably diabetes
