"Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished.
"A hundred years passed, and my brother and I discovered the new Avatar: An Airbender named Aang. And although his Airbending skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he can save anyone...but I believe Aang can save the world!"
Overall, I think this is pretty good and Robert did an excellent job. But what really concerns me is that (and I hate to be that guy) when does the snare drum come in. Because I can see that at the beginning of the score it says that there is a snare drum part for this. So, WHEN DOES THAT PART COME IN?
Which movement is which element though? I feel like they're not in order of the title. I feel like the first and last repeating sections are sky, the flute solos are fire, the Gar Song is water, and the section at 6:05 is Earth
Long ago, before time had a name, the first Spinjitsu master created Ninjago, using the 4 elemental weapons. But when he passed, a dark presence sought out to collect them all, Lord Garmadon. So I, sensei Wu, sought out 4 Ninja warriors to collect them first.
Im pretty mad that baritone start off with a solo when will it be trombone's time to shine but other then that the song was pretty elemental (insert laugh track here) Edit: I love the song regardless and I love the Earth section a lot
why trombone always got beef with baritones 😂 but I feel bad for y'all trombones I see more baritone solos than trombone solos, altho it's probably by we have more sound variety and range
You did not understand. That was why Maurice White reminded us to love and to be loved and keep our soul with humanity all the time. Understand?
I went through over half of this piece thinking this piece was about songs from Earth, Wind, and fire
The euphonium part is incredibly fun i need to get my band director to play this i want those solos
YESSSS I want to play this soooo bad
Same

Real.
Get out
May Robert W.Smith rest in peace. With leaving us with great music.
You know this is hard when the 2nd and 3rd's have their own sections.
It’s not that hard when your always first
Only the avatar can master all four elements
@top.comment.god
Legit thinking the same thing 😂😂😂
See, this made my day
Then Robert W. Smith is an avatar.
LOL
This is the best piece of music I’ve ever listened to.
Listen to el Camino real
The Baritone and French Horn Parts are Gold
for baritone can u play high A?
@@presidentevil9951 yeah
@@brycer1331 no. I meant the High A WAAAAAY above the staff line?
@@presidentevil9951 yes
@@presidentevil9951 I can play the D above that
I love all the horn parts!!
OK!
Easily one of Robert W. Smith's best works.
Oh my gosh the chills
I love all of robert smiths piece's especially since after his passing
So you love them more because he died?
He died from surgery error 🪦
I hate the ads in this vid because the piece is so beautiful 😭
One of my favorite Robert W. Smith works by far! As a flute player this looks absolutely fantastic to play.
Clarinet player here… nope.
@@technoeggnog lol, it's okay. I get it. It's SO DANG HARD! (but it sounds lovely)
@@catthebatflute it does. very lovely
First time listening to grade 5 Music. I like it.
My middle school band is doing ok in this song.
Lol jk this is way too hard for us to play

XD
Just put your mind to it..
The tenor sax part is actually really fun in this piece, I love it🙏
little hard tho
@deanstuart8667 I usually find it a stamina issue, other than that I don't find it too difficult, but I see where it could be😁
Lmao I read this as Earth Wind and Fire excepting some funk music
Seriously same
*expecting
I love the bass and contrabass clarinet parts!
I love the part at 6:05

Demetrius Alleyne I know this is late but its probably a muted snare drum that's playing the whole time
"Robert" you say that like you know him as a friend
Maybe right here 6:33 it sounds like a brush hitting a snare, but that’s just me. (Only took 5 years to find out)
I was like this is fine then I looked at the flute key signature...🥺🥺
@green 5 flats key signature for flute part. But only towards the later part of the music.

Looks at first page: hm, easy
Rest of song: imma ruin this mans whole career-
This popped up on my recommended after his passing….
I know me too :(
I feel like the higher the grade the longer the piece

The Contrabass clarinet is a contra-alto clarinet because when it's in Bb major, it has 1 sharp
No contrabass clarinet is in the key of Eb not Bb
It’s like the alto sax and bari sax
@@KailasBalchand The normal name for the Eb Contrabass is the Contra-alto, even Musescore uses Contra-alto to represent an Eb below the bass
Bro the piano at the beginning is like ddadadadadaddadaddaadadaddadaddadadadadda
*laughs in 36th note*
32nd
As a trombone player, let us play some notes please
This legitimately sounds like it could be soundtrack for Avatar The Last Airbender.
like dead ass but I think that's the point maybe it was inspired by it or that's bc of the vibe in general also has the same vibe as avatar

How come this is grade 5?
Grade 5 means music at this level is difficult and for professionals. Grade 5 doesn’t mean it’s for 5th graders.
Yeah I know. Just doesn't seem that hard@@TJ_Cream3947
As a trombone this piece was rlly cool in total but boring for trombones
Clarinet part is so tribal
The trombone part is easy because you barely play in the song
No one knows
Aang can only play this piece
.
Honestly, kind of boring
Lol not when your playing it at 1.5x speed
@@andrewseo4507 Yes
As usually the bari sax, trombone, bass clarinet and tuba don’t get anything
