Get rid of the approved 40 year mortgages, get rid of the approved down payment assistance, kick private companies out of the market place and take restrictions off of builders. I’m sick of trying to survive at 35 years old, not being able to afford food for me, my husband, and my child. At this age, according to the American Dream, I should have been freaking successful, have a house with a white picket fence, with the only worry when my next dental appointment would be. I’m so tired of renting. I want a house. I can’t even get into school. And this is after signing up for FASFA, WIC, and SNAP. I’m covered by the government because I’m darn near poverty level. Homebuilder here. The same floor plan is currently $80,000 to $100,000 more expensive right now than it was when Trump was president. If he could slash those interest rates way down, I have calculated it'll have a impact on 27 different industries related to home building. The possibility of getting home prices down by $100,000 could actually happen.

If he could slash those interest rates way down, I have calculated it'll have a impact on 27 different industries related to home building. The possibility of getting home prices down by $100,000 could actually happen.

The economy is just sad right now. I’m 30 and am sadly still renting an apartment. The cost of living has more than doubled and I can tell you my paychecks have stayed the same. My savings have been being depleted for years. Had money saved up for a house and now I’m almost back to square one. Everything cost too much to do anything. I really hope trump can restore the economy of America once again. I was thriving when trump was president. It’s hard to save 20-50$ in a week anymore.

Here in Australia 🇦🇺 people can't afford to buy their first home. Investors have made it to expensive to even rent them. The Government's are to blame for allowing this to happen. Every insensitive given to people only pushed up housing prices, it has allowed people to get greedy by buying multiple properties and renting them out to a point where people can't afford them.

Trump's possible pick for treasury secretary is JP Morgan's Dimon, so I'm scratching my head as to how housing is going to be affordable... when he's possibly puting in charge those who are creating exactly what you are describing. We shall see.

Last 4 years ruined half my family financially. Now I'm moving the adult kids into the house and I will be homeless, along with a few other friends who are retired/fixed income, no housing available in my town, everyone is paycheck to paycheck....unless you work for government. Hope Trump can fix what they ruined, but I'm skeptical. I think it will never be the same. Good luck Trump.

We were so happy to see our mortgage payments go up this month. All of our friends and families had gone up last month and we were feeling left out.
I was making 38k 4 years ago. And was living great, didn’t struggle and bought everything and saved money. Now I make 100k a year and I’m hardly scraping by. Can’t buy a house or anything
