*FUN FACT:* The Three Wise Men's original gifts were gold, frankincense and tube socks, but luckily CVS was still open and they were able to score some myrrh (and a Whitman's Sampler for Mary).

another fun fact is that theres no mention of three wise men, any where, there were three gifts so people assume 3 people. it could have been 2- 10 maybe?
Actually there is a real significance to the three gifts. The gold was a gift given to kings. As Jesus was born to be a King he was given the gold. The frankincense was the incense used by the priests in church. It was given because Jesus was born to be a priest and to preach the Gospel to the people. And the last one sadly is myrrh was used as an oil to anoint bodies before burial. It was the foretelling of the death of the Christ upon the cross. I just found this out recently and thought it was very interesting. I am a collector of trivia :)

I'm surprised that he didn't say anything about Christmas specials. They play the same ones each year, and they all seem to have a dark meaning if you look a little deeper. Rudolph: only care about deformed people when they're useful. Frosty: everything you love will die and there's nothing you can do about it.

Fun fact only female reindeer have antlers during the winter and since winter starts on Wednesday, December 21 of 2016 and ends on Monday, March 20, 2017 all of Santa's reindeer are female.
Dale Modisette incorrect. Antlers do not "fall off." Rather, the skin sheds. Otherwise, you'd see a graveyard once a year, and older males would not have larger racks. #science !

Dreidel as a game definitely sucks, but the history behind it is fascinating. Namely, it was never intended to be a real game, but rather it's what the kids whipped out when Greek soldiers were nearby so they wouldn't get caught studying the Torah (which was illegal). *The more you knoooooow*

Watching from Australia and wondering.....where in the US is there a 4,30pm sunset? I've heard that Alaska has a 'round midnight sunset at some time of the year. I'm not sure what would be worse.

The further north you go the more pronounced the season is until you reach the Arctic Circle where you'll experience all day or night, depending on the season. I now Norwegians experience this too. For me in south California the sun is setting about 5:30 to 6 O'clock PM.
I'm on Vancouver Island in Canada, near Seattle in Washington, USA.. and the sun is setting at 4:19 tomorrow. Bonus: it rains and/or is overcast all the time, so it's dark all day.

I'm in Florida and ours is around 5:30 in the winter. It's because in America we do that daylight savings bull where we turn the clock back an hour, so an already short winter day ends even earlier.
It's also because we have this stupid relic of the Great Depression & WW2 called Daylight Savings Time where we move our clocks back 1 hour in the fall and move them forward an hour in the spring.
Various excuses such as energy conservation, better use of leisure, higher productivity, etc. have been offered up but study after study has shown that it actually drives up energy usage, reduces work productivity, and causes an increase in traffic accidents.
But we're stuck with a guvamint that hates change and despises science so it's not going to go away any day soon.

Just wondering why no one in the USA builds there Citys to withstand the Natur in a proper way. Minnesota is in the North so i would think the infrastructure would be Snow prove. Similar to that i don't understand why they build Wood and paper houses in the Tornado area. I live in a house that is strong enough to withstand a Tornado and there was never one in this Area. Is there really so less money for the Infrastructure?

I have moved around a lot, and the worst place for the power going out has been Washington, DC, and I remember new reports about the worst outages after rain storms (5 or more days) was in wealthy neighborhoods.
