I’m so glad that you mentioned grey spaces as looking cheap. To me, too much grey is depressing like a cloudy, bleak day and I just can’t live in a space that feels sad.

Filling the tub from the ceiling is going to give me design nightmares, now that I leaned about the existence of this horrid feature from you. Also, it looks like the ceiling is leaking and is just plain wrong.
I assume controls for ceiling tub spigot are somewhere near tub. Not obvious from photo. But, proximity of spigot to light fixture looks scary & plasticky window shade behind tub is weird though it may help with over spray. About as luxurious as black rubber gloves. And, yes, cleaning it would probably require a spray bottle & large cups of water ferried from sink. Thanks for the fun think piece
Yes the gray floors omg, thank you!! I honestly loathe them, and its like a flipper fave. It is going to be like linoleum tile or cherry 5 years from now. It just really locks you in to a specific look/ color palette.
My landlord installed these really rustic, ugly, rough-toned, gray, rectangular tiles EVERYWHERE: kitchen, hall, dining room, living room, bathroom. I can't even begin to express how much I hate them now. You could mop them all day and they never look clean. They look like something that might be appropriate in a horse-barn office, a rustic camp, or a sporting goods store bathroom, not an elegant or comfortable suburban home. He went one step further and used regular, unsealed, grout, instead of a dark-gray tinted & sealed grout. As a result, the grout absorbs dirt and the color of the grout varies drastically from out-of-the-way corners (e.g. behind the bathroom door) to main pathways (e.g. the center of the kitchen floor.) Even using a combination wet scrubber-vacuum tool can't get the grout in well-trafficked areas clean. One of the new grout-less tiles in a smooth, uniform, warm-ish mushroom, white oak, or ash tone would have been 1000 times better, more neutral, & flexible for design changes.
I always said that money doesn't buy taste, and your disucssion was a perfect example of the things that are expensive, but really do end up looking cheap! Good job!! BTW.... great shirt :D
My rule is always: If I have to babysit it, it's not for me. Garrett, I’m so glad I found you! You help me win design choice wars with my husband in our new to us 1970’s home. I’m like “Garett says the rugs don’t have to match, just be cohesive!” Thank you for helping me out more than you’ll ever know ♥️
Yay! Welcome to the channel Laina! It's great to have you as part of our very valued subscriber channel. I'm glad you are enjoying our videos. Much more to come. :)
I don't know if I'm the only one on this but for me it's two things that at this moment make a home look very cheap- bathrooms that are COVERED completely in white marble with a lot of black/grayish veining in it. I love marble but to me less is always more, I love it just as an accent, covering the entire bathroom in it looks horrible to me. I'm not american and I have no idea how much the cost of it is, but I really don't like it. The other thing is the whole minimalist thing, a lot of homes where I live look as if everybody went to ikea and furnished their place in gray/white/white oak. Love the video as always Garrett
I love the way that you make interior design so encouraging for everyone to step into, and also sustainable. It's so refreshing to hear videos that focus more on what's best for each person long-term, will save them money over time, is more environmentally friendly. I've been watching your videos for years now and this is why I always looks forward to all the content you put out. Thanks for being yourself!
Fixing and patching dents in rounded drywall corners is a real pain in the ass too! Also you're so right about the community here, I always love looking at the comments section full of positivity and encouragement 🤗
“30% cheese dust, 70% boogers.” Ha ha! As a parent, I can confirm this. Even if they haven’t had anything cheesy that day. 😒 And the glass stair railings? Yes! I’m a person who has to hold on to that railing. I’ve taken one than one tumble down the stairs. I’m not coming to your house if there’s no railing on your stairs, cuz I’ll think you’re not human and it will creep me out.
I bought a house built in 1948. It has some features, that I absolutely love. Decorating a “new” home can be a bit daunting. Thank so much, for all of your advice. I never miss a video❤😊
Garrett! You are soooo fun and yet extremely health conscious! Your health and safety awareness added to your design tips, elevates your YT site! Thank you! I always enjoy your videos! Would thick glass doors be fabulous, instead of glass railings? Just wondering. It might be a good way to link rooms if someone doesn't have open concepts in their main floor.
My addition to your list is something I learnt about from a plumber. One of his clients wanted a lighted drain in the shower. It was very expensive (to source and install), quite tricky to install and he was telling me about it because he couldn't understand why someone would want something like that (e.g. he thought it was ridiculous, as did I).
Well that just goes to show how out of touch I am with fashion trends. I've never heard of baths that fill from the ceiling! My ceilings are high, the water would be cold by the time it reached the bath, not to mention that it would've splashed all over the place. Seems like a crazy idea to me. Another really informative video, thank you Garrett. You always give me something to think about. I'm considering adding wallpaper to my front entryway. I've never had wallpaper in my home and because I've been too scared. I figured an entry way might be a safe place to give it a go and you've just given me some really useful advice about what to choose, so thank you again.
I HATE rounded wall edges. I have them and I loathe them for all the reasons you pointed out. I don’t have any fake olive trees, but I do have a few fake plants. I mixed them in with some real ones so it’s less obvious. I try to buy them at places like PB when they’re on clearance so I get their quality without their regular prices. They also help disguise how often I kill the real plants since there is always something green. Regarding rainfall shower heads, i like the idea but they don’t work well for me. I have thick hair and rinsing it under a large rainfall shower head is difficult if there isn’t great water pressure. Spreading the water flow across a larger area makes it worse and then I’m having to rinse my hair out in the sink.
This is such a great discussion, Garrett, and as usual, you bring your special blend of expertise, pragmatism, and wit!!! I'm in a Spanish style home and wish I didn't have all the curved corners! I love that you always mention lighting, as it can be like jewelry in our spaces, right? If you can't afford to change the flooring, beautiful lighting won't cost as much and will draw the eyes up! And forget about the glass railings! If you have kids, pets, or people with disabilities in your home, they're a cleaning nightmare and an accident waiting to happen! Thank you for being so passionate about your subscribers, and for helping to make our spaces more beautiful, Garrett, whatever our style and budget!!! 🤗🌻🤗
Filling the tub from the ceiling would have been a dream when my kiddo was a toddler, though. As an accident prone kid, we had one of those fugly, hard to clean plastic animal heads over the faucet.
I very much appreciate the thoughtful way in which you approach everything in your videos. For example, when you talked about the glass railings you had clearly thought fully about their deficits. I also really like that you think about and share with us how much care and cleaning an item will take as well as that we may be on a budget (so your advice around making furniture investments and ensuring that something like flooring is going to be versatile for years to come). I love that you're never saying "rip that out" and instead you're saying "what can you do now?" You're also sassy and witty when talking about don'ts but never nasty which is really important for those of us who don't know a ton about design and don't have an unlimited budget.
Thanks so much for your thoughtful comment! I'm glad you are enjoying the content. Please take a moment to support the channel if you haven't already, and join our very valued subscriber family. :)
I so agree with everything you say. What are people thinking with glass railings? Especially when they have kids. I’m ok with rounded corners, but I wouldn’t pay extra for it!
omg I laughed so hard at the vision of kids leaving residue that's "...30% cheese dust and 70% boogers..." -- so TRUE! I'm glad someone else besides me HATES the idea of glass stair railings/deck railings. I just imagine my clodhopper self tripping, grabbing for support, and then the sound of thumps, crashes, and the end result of decapication!
Garrett, I have never heard of a tub that fills from the ceiling. I had to Google it 😅 A lady was demonstrating how her fills up. It was loud.. All I could see on her face was regret!😄
Totally agree veined quartz countertop are overhyped, it is very popular right now but I am skeptical of how long the popularity will last. I chose the slightly marbled white quartz countertop instead since it is just cheaper and more subtle. Could have gone for the plain white one. I also don't like those marbled tiles, I prefer concrete looking tiles. Tiles should just be tiles, don't try to be marble! Also I agree that gray floor is not a good look. It looks like wood that is dead. There are many places to use the color gray but the wood floor is not one of them. I love those natural oak color floor, it just warm up the space beautifully.
Hey Garret and husband.😀. Would love if you can give some examples with your advice. Show us some products of flooring with colors you would recommend. I’m binge watching your videos at the moment. Love from Ireland 🇮🇪 😜
Years ago I bought a house built in 1910 that had original paper wallpaper. The house was a fixer upper. The wallpaper was so difficult to remove until I was told to use a plant water sprayer, get it wet and use a scraper to remove the wallpaper. It definitely made it easier to remove the wallpaper. After that I don’t use wallpaper. I also used a heat gun to remove painted woodwork, long before the danger of lead based paint being inhaled was well known. I’m not even sure heat guns are used anymore. Many houses caught on fire if heat guns were placed while hot on paper, tarps. Heat guns do make stripping paint off woodwork easier though if you are careful. Loved the episode. Say “hi” to Albert.
For me, personally, though I don't have one, but for me, a waste of money would be a pot filler over the hob. One, I don't cook with tap water at this time. Two, it's an added expense to have plumbing run back there and three, I just don't need a pot filler. I use water from my Berkey and that saves us money, vs spending the money for a pot filler. But again, that's my needs for my kitchen. If someone else enjoys their pot fillers then I will quote you and say, "Love that for them."
Hello 👋 this is the first time I ever saw the ceiling faucet, I didn’t even know that was a thing and why?? 😂 I also agree with you on the fake plants they are crazy expensive and still fake, there are so many options of real plants that are very low maintenance and beautiful. I see rounded cement corners in homes here in P.R. and it drives me bananas corner beams are not that expensive. Your videos always brighten up my day ☺️
I respect the fact that there are many who are totally anti-gray. But our entire home has a very light gray 'wood' floor with Sherman Williams Lazy Gray walls and we always get compliments about how warm and lovely our home looks. I like the gray throughout each room because it keeps the continuity and then I can decorate with rugs, great art and furniture pieces that can be switched out over time. Plus for some of us, the calmness of the gray is like living in your vacation resort retreat.
I love grey, too, since way before the recent grey fever. Grey colors in a house are forever classic and most relaxing and comfortable colors for me, too 🥰
You were oh so right about using the hardwood floors that had never been exposed in my 1937 home. An inch and a half of the base was covered with carpet, tack strip, and pad. Now it is a pretty 6” base. The before and after is suppressing elegant.
Wow you are so right per usual ! Waiting out a trend is sensible. I remember farmhouse then it got really bad really quick in my opinion. Once again an awesome video.
Just found your channel and I just bought my first house and I am re-doing most of the spaces. I just love your advice and the fact that you tell it like it is! Thank you!
That’s awesome! Congrats. Glad you are enjoying our content. Please take a moment to support the channel if you haven’t already, and join our very valued subscriber family.
You know 1 of the things I absolutely love about you is how you break things down into function and form. I never really thought about sitting in the bath tub and warming the water up only to have it dump on my head ! Lol. A waterfall is nice but not if it drowns you. Trust me I’ve been there done that on vacation. You come out sputtering like a dying fish. I’ll settle for the waterfall shower head I can direct where I want it and the glass railing also was a brilliant point. Thank you!
…so lovely to hear individuals in the design realm to inform on the importance of personal preferences, kudos! Totally agree on wallpaper for it has been abused, overused and misused. I’ve lucked out for when I purchased my great Aunt’s house almost 30 years ago in Atherton, CA it had miles of it but I was able to save the vintage De Gournay Chinoiserie and purchased a few more but had them professionally installed on panels that can be taken down or moved to another area for those suckers were pricey. A little bit of tacky is a plus in my book. And yes to lighting for it can break the whole atmosphere.
Thanks for sharing! Glad you enjoyed the video. Please take a moment to support the channel if you haven't already, and join our very valued subscriber family. :)
The Calacata quartz countertops are very subtle in their markings and do not look cheap. If you were fortunate enough to buy a new quartz countertop for your kitchen please enjoy it for years to come. Finances are tight for a lot of us, we were so relieved to get rid of the 20 year old laminate countertops last year.
I had never even heard of the ceiling mount tub tap! Wouldn’t the water go cold on the way down? I imagine dangerous misting/splashes all over the floor too- more cleaning! Ghurr! 😝
I agree with you on fake veined marble (quartz) countertops. We just finished our remodeled kitchen and had honed imperial danby marble installed as the backsplash and used honed solid warm white quartz for countertops. We love it. Thank you and looking forward to your next post!
There are literally millions of homes built between 1990 - 2010 in Arizona & Las Vegas with rounded corners & knockdown finish. We're going to live with it. Thanks for the tips & ideas to update & revitalize our homes. You are so practical.
Tubs that are filled from the ceiling??? Weird. I never knew there was such a thing. Never heard of it before. I learn something new from Garrett all the time.
Excellent points, especially about glass banisters, following trends that fade away quickly and wallpaper that doesn't work for the space. This is why working with a designer can be such an important part of decorating a home. Great information you shared with us today.
Things you would never see in the UK: a bath filling from a faucet in the ceiling - crazy idea; microwave over a hob - why would you do this? And installing a corner sink. Marble is more expensive than quartz in the uk so quartz is more common in kitchens. Interesting how things are different.
As always, great video darling! I would love to see a video on just flooring. One example is how to transition one type into another room. What's okay and what's not. Please! I need help with this! Love your channel 💕
I so totally agree! Glass railings, ceiling tub fillers. What are people thinking! Especially with kids. But I’m also not a fan of ‘rain showers’. I have thick hair…how do you get shampoo and conditioner out? And if you need an auxiliary hand held, why bother.
I agree that wallpaper can look horrible. My daughter insisted on a particular wallpaper that I did end up putting up for her. It just looks so cheap. I am hoping she will grow out of it and let me fix that eyesore of a wall.
A tub that fills from the ceiling -- wow, that is so, so stupid. It is pointless. (I love your warm, brass lamp!) In the last house we owned, we had an extremely large, marble-tiled, walk-in shower built. No doors. The bathroom had high ceilings, and with no doors to trap the warm, steamy air it all just flowed out, up, and around in this large bathroom. It was so darn cold when you finished your shower. Especially in the winter months. Real waste of money, and I would never do that again.
You had me at the Wood Segment. Thank you thank you thank you. I have beautiful wood pieces brought over to Canada from Germany. I know they can be veryd outdated (yes) but the one that I own is very elegant and it is sectional and I can mix it up for any room. That being said it is breath taking as one piece. I love it. However the younger members in the family who are into "Fast Furniture and gets rid of theirs everly 5 years (bc its falling apart) thinks my stuff is old and out dated. Far from it darling. I know quality and beauty when I see it and you just so happen to fill all of that. I just found you today and I am so impressedd with your vids. Keep them coming. I have subscribed to your channel. You are an inspiration.
lol I didn't even know people were filling tubs from the ceiling!! great point about big focal pieces like fountains just feels like we're into more informal spaces these days
Hello from Florida! I’m new to this channel and have subscribed! I love all your knowledge, honesty, and it’s quite refreshing as you are making me think twice before making purchases to decor my home. Just moving one piece of furniture in a room can make a huge difference and honestly, I didn’t even think of that. You make a lot of sense! I want to thank you and I’m looking forward to see all your videos! -Eunice
Finally someone that know's what there talking about!!!! I rarely subscribe to many but wow just wow you rock!!!!!! Love it definitely helped me decide how to upgrade my home style
I didn't even know that glass railings were a thing. I agree; it's not a good idea for all the reasons you mentioned. I'm always thrilled when I see a new video from you.
I've never seen a bath with a tap in the ceiling... who on earth thought of that, it looks like it would break the second you put it in, and so uncomfortable if you need a refill.
My sofa in the studio is Boucle. It’s a very elevated fabric but not the best for high use areas. I love it. Please take a moment to support the channel if you haven’t already, and join our very valued subscriber family. 😊😊😊
The runing water from the ceiling for bath threw me a bit...I thought I misunderstood what you meant until you showed a pic...wtheck? Why?? Omgosh, no word's...lol
I agree with you in every single thing you said.. there’s a solution for those gray lovers, add naturally gray material like stone or concrete but not wood and don’t make all your house gray, mix with warm material like natural warm tone wood and warm colors and lighting.
Hilarious that ceiling faucets for tub is an expensive thing. I have that because my walk-in shower had no tub, so I put in a free-standing clawfoot and fill it from the ceiling. I will stop being so humiliated by the kluge if people are doing it on purpose. :-)
I love this video Garrett. As you go along explaining the ugly expensive, I specially loved the fountain foyer with the smell of chlorine, lol… Gate the Tuscan murals too. I don’t like that look, ever ! I take my time and think hard before I spend on something expensive that I could be tired or hate it later. Thank you so much my friend. You are so generous with your ideas if yes and no decor. You help me so much with my bedroom and bath new make over and redecoration.
Love your video of truthfulness. A lot of people push us to do the new trends where as you helps us stop and reset before jumping in. Thank you. P.S. love the shirt, colour suits you.
Really? Tubs that fill from ceiling ! No way. That’s just plain nuts. I can’t wrap my brain around it. Please mention more of these designs that are rare and upside down (no punn…). Love this channel and the community. Thank you Garrett. ❤️
Do I need to get out more? I have never heard of or seen (until this video) a tub that fills from the ceiling. That is next level ridiculous. Kind of along that same vein, and I wouldn't say it's extremely expensive, but a feature I see and don't understand in kitchens are pot fillers at the stove. Is it really THAT inconvenient to fill a pot at the sink and carry it a few feet to the stove top? No...It's not, and they're actually kind of ugly if you ask me...which you didn't...but there you have it. Love your videos Garrett!
When I remodel my kitchen, I’d love to get a beautiful soap stone counter top. It has a sort of antique look that I love and I think it’s pretty low maintenance. Plus I don’t think it’s super trendy right now.
Can you add a video about picking out chandeliers? I am having a tough time trying to pick out one that fits my space, fits the look of the house and won't look tacky/out-of-date. There are just so many to chose from and it is hard trying to conceptually see how it will look in a space. I have had friends get great looking ones but then when it is in the home, it looks terrible or doesn't really go with the architecture and how they decorated or they are impractical to clean.
Great video, Garrett. Thank you! About staircases: our old Edwardian house had oak woodwork, included a staircase with square pickets and balusters. In our new transitional-traditional house, my husband wanted less movement, so we chose a more subtly grained birch engineered flooring, stained espresso and matte finished with an “edge” texture, installed throughout the house over hydronic radiant heating. Our staircase runs over four floors. I chose “pool cue” pickets, much to the chagrin of our stair fabricator, because they require greater care on installation. Since my halls and staircases are papered above wainscoting, with wall sconces on landings, and 4” pot lights, and beautiful linen double-shaded light fixtures on hall ceilings, along with original art pieces on the hall and stairwell walls, I thought the staircase didn’t need any elaboration to be its own statement. So, the treads and railing are stained birch to match the floors, while the risers, stringers and pickets are painted white. A subtle plush runner in pale taupes provides warmth and safe passage. Stair lights are trimmed in oil-rubbed bronze to match the door knobs and hinges, window hardware throughout the house, and light fixtures in these spaces. Since these stair lights had to be installed on my pale taupe stringers or, on the landings, white baseboards, I decided to make them the staircase statement, by using these oil-rubbed bronze, not white or beige, rings. And, while the floors, nosings and stair treads are matte varnished, the handrail is satin varnished, which has a nicer “feel”. I toyed with metal pickets and glass panels for our stairs, but decided the metal would eventually look dated (it always does) and the glass would be covered in pet smears! I am happy with our choices. People are particularly taken with our simple, elegant unadorned white pickets. I, myself, have only ever seen them in decor magazines, so I took a flyer by using them. I’m hoping that nothing in my house looks cheap, since it was all chosen with great care. Of course, we’ll be paying for it all for the rest of our lives!
I really love your art deco statue and picture! Art deco is in my opinion one of the most stylish artforms. Thank you for your video - so much good advice!
I do like a 90° for paint color transitions. It can be frustrating. However, for families with kids or less than graceful members, rounded corners tend to chip less and are more durable.

I so agree with some wallpaper looking cheap even though they are expensive. Along with glitter wall paper, I've seen shiny wallpaper in silver or gold that is just awful.
I’m so glad that you mentioned grey spaces as looking cheap. To me, too much grey is depressing like a cloudy, bleak day and I just can’t live in a space that feels sad.

I’ve seen this live at a neighbor’s house! The two sets of owners who’ve lived with it agree it’s weird and awful.

Yes to all this. I’ve never heard of a tub that fills from the ceiling. That’s … bizarre.

I agree on the fake trees. They just never look quite right. Best case, people say, "Wow, it looks so real." Not really a compliment. LOL

Thanks so much for the great comment!
Great points! Expense does not equal quality, always, nor assure good outcomes!
Thanks so much! Agreed. 😊😊😊
Spot on, as always. I’ve adopted your phrase,”I love that for you”. My friends love that!
What I’m taking away is look at function first, then style. High style is fun to see in a “parade of homes” but not so much to live with.
I so agree with everything you say. What are people thinking with glass railings? Especially when they have kids. I’m ok with rounded corners, but I wouldn’t pay extra for it!
Thanks so much Sandra!😊😊😊
Also the horizontal railing, not great for kids since they will climb them.
I don't have kids but I have dogs. So I would end up with dog nose prints all over it.
omg I laughed so hard at the vision of kids leaving residue that's "...30% cheese dust and 70% boogers..." -- so TRUE! I'm glad someone else besides me HATES the idea of glass stair railings/deck railings. I just imagine my clodhopper self tripping, grabbing for support, and then the sound of thumps, crashes, and the end result of decapication!
Glad you enjoyed Virginia! Please take a moment to support the channel if you haven't already, and join our very valued subscriber family.
Garrett, I have never heard of a tub that fills from the ceiling.
I had to Google it 😅
A lady was demonstrating how her fills up. It was loud..
All I could see on her face was regret!😄

I agree with you those glass railings are dangerous, I would be one of those people that would fall down those stairs!🙄
Garrett, I love your down to earth practical approach to design...and your answers to "WHY" in your opinion 😊 and you're spot on 🙏🏼
Thanks so much for your lovely comment Lois! I appreciate it. :)
YES this would be so helpful!!
Agree with these. I still want my glass railing though!! There's a full handrail on the wall side and steel frame for support though.
Thanks so much!🐶🐶🐶
For me, personally, though I don't have one, but for me, a waste of money would be a pot filler over the hob.
I'd love to see your favorite recycled/alternative materials. Like recycled glass countertops.
Noted! Thanks. :)
Your videos always brighten up my day ☺️
Thank you so much☀️☀️☀️
I respect the fact that there are many who are totally anti-gray.
Is there any way to send a photo to you?
Oh my, I had no idea that glass railings were a thing! That’s a trip to the ER waiting to happen
Right?!
Wow you are so right per usual ! Waiting out a trend is sensible. I remember farmhouse then it got really bad really quick in my opinion. Once again an awesome video.
Glad you enjoyed!
Yes yes yes! I have a similar approach with clothes, I don't spend too much in super trendy stuff as will pass quick!
I gasped out loud when you said "glitter wallpaper"
🤣🤣🤣
you are fabulous and i agree with you, and the tub filling from the ceiling, i am with you i could not stand that.
Thanks so much!
Just found your channel and I just bought my first house and I am re-doing most of the spaces. I just love your advice and the fact that you tell it like it is! Thank you!

Thank you!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video. :)

Filling a tub from the ceiling. Hmmm, wouldn't the water cool off on it's way down to the tub?
That is awesome! Glad you are enjoying! New video this Thursday. :)

Great point!
Thanks so much! Glad you are enjoying!
😁😁😁
Be "unique" and "be you" sounds really fantastic. At the end of the day, appreciating beauty is subjective
Highly recommend soapstone for those that love veining but are worried about staining!
A tub that fills from the ceiling -- wow, that is so, so stupid. It is pointless. (I love your warm, brass lamp!)
In the last house we owned, we had an extremely large, marble-tiled, walk-in shower built. No doors. The bathroom had high ceilings, and with no doors to trap the warm, steamy air it all just flowed out, up, and around in this large bathroom. It was so darn cold when you finished your shower. Especially in the winter months. Real waste of money, and I would never do that again.
Hey Garrett: I just learned about the tub filling from the ceiling... so glad I am in the know, NOT that I want one!
Thank you Garrett! For sharing your decor knowledge! I always feel like I can make better design decisions after watching your videos.
My pleasure!
Ugh!! Hate the gray floors so much! Currently looking for a new home and soooo many of them have those stupid floors 🤮
Anyway, loved the video 🥰
I hope you find a really lovely home. It can certainly take time. Glad you enjoyed the video. :)
Sounds lovely! Thanks for sharing. Welcome to the channel Judy. It’s great to have you as part of our very valued subscriber family!😊😊😊
Oh the glass staircase thing: I am so with you on that, it’s horrid unless you lobe cleaning
lol I didn't even know people were filling tubs from the ceiling!! great point about big focal pieces like fountains just feels like we're into more informal spaces these days
-Eunice

Cheap and or Dusty artificial plants! There are some really nice artificial plants out there but they need to be dusted and maintained regularly!
Finally someone that know's what there talking about!!!! I rarely subscribe to many but wow just wow you rock!!!!!!
Love it definitely helped me decide how to upgrade my home style
Awesome! Thank you! Welcome to the channel.
I didn't even know that glass railings were a thing. I agree; it's not a good idea for all the reasons you mentioned. I'm always thrilled when I see a new video from you.
Thanks so much!
I've never seen a bath with a tap in the ceiling... who on earth thought of that, it looks like it would break the second you put it in, and so uncomfortable if you need a refill.
I had no idea that filling a tub from the ceiling was even an option. Thanks for warning me in advance! Ha!
Getting a new mass-produced French-style “antique” mirror. I’ve never seen one, no matter how expensive, that doesn’t look tacky.
Thank you for not shitting on boucle! I am obsessed with my boucle bed frame
My sofa in the studio is Boucle. It’s a very elevated fabric but not the best for high use areas. I love it. Please take a moment to support the channel if you haven’t already, and join our very valued subscriber family. 😊😊😊
Thank you for all the good honest points.
You are so welcome!
Thanks for sharing Arwa! Please take a moment if you haven't already to support the channel, and join our very valued subscriber family. :)
All practical suggestions. I love grass cloth, but jeez…SO expensive! Lighting…so difficult for me. Maybe Albert can suggest something ☺️
Great idea!
Hilarious that ceiling faucets for tub is an expensive thing. I have that because my walk-in shower had no tub, so I put in a free-standing clawfoot and fill it from the ceiling. I will stop being so humiliated by the kluge if people are doing it on purpose. :-)
A good paper hanger should make certain there are no bump showing under the wallpaper.
Glad to be of help! :)
Love your video of truthfulness. A lot of people push us to do the new trends where as you helps us stop and reset before jumping in. Thank you. P.S. love the shirt, colour suits you.
Thanks so much Linda!
Really? Tubs that fill from ceiling ! No way. That’s just plain nuts. I can’t wrap my brain around it. Please mention more of these designs that are rare and upside down (no punn…). Love this channel and the community. Thank you Garrett. ❤️
Thanks so much!
Glad you enjoyed the video Lois! Thanks for sharing. 😊😊😊
Omg, you are hilarious on this one. "You are DONE! It's OVER!" with the dramatic zoom! Glass railings are a nightmare.
I really love your art deco statue and picture! Art deco is in my opinion one of the most stylish artforms. Thank you for your video - so much good advice!
@@GarrettLeChic I subscribed a couple of weeks ago - very much enjoying your videos. Greetings from Sweden!
@@EllieChristine744 Yay! Welcome to the channel. 😁😁😁
I do like a 90° for paint color transitions. It can be frustrating. However, for families with kids or less than graceful members, rounded corners tend to chip less and are more durable.
I HATE rounded corners in my home. Agree with you 💯
I just discovered your channel which is great! Glass handrails and ceiling 🛁 tubs! Wow😳!
Welcome to the channel Terry! I’m glad you are enjoying our content. Please take a moment if you haven’t already, and join our very valued subscriber family. ✨✨✨
Yes you are done! Lol I actually fell off the stairs with glass railing. Almost lost my tailbone.😵💫
That’s why I always stress safety first!
I so agree with some wallpaper looking cheap even though they are expensive.
Along with glitter wall paper, I've seen shiny wallpaper in silver or gold that is just awful.
Spot on, as usual. I just love how thought out your videos are and how practical. And of course the three baby boys are always a treat!
Thanks so much!
U can also use liner paper under the main wallpaper.
100 % agree with u on grey & fake plants!!
👍👍👍
I so agree with you about gray floors!
