I grew up with my grandparents and aunties and they practiced all the things you suggested today: the swapping decor, the rotating accessories, rugs and curtains, the collecting art from all the cousins and displaying them on the walls, getting cuttings from plants so we could all have them... Your video today brought back some great memories from my home country and has given me loads of inspiration to keep on making my house feel more special. Thank you.

Garrett I FINALLY thought of a great FREE idea. Keep all the heavy clear plastic jars that Costco Mixed Nuts, etc come in. It should have a strong screw on lid. Clean, remove label, put a cute decorative label on it and use for dry goods in your pantry or cabinets. Keep rice, beans etc fresh and organized
Have gotten into the habit of keeping a small donation box/ bag; adding to it as I go thru things or just find something in my normal decor which no longer suits.....WITHOUT exception, every time I go to drop off the box/bag at my nearby thrift store, there is ALWAYS something new (to me) and fabulous to bring home....it's like some kind of cosmic law--giving stuff away which we no longer love or use always seems to bring new and wonderful stuff our way! LOL I've an aversion to clutter, so this practice allows for changes/upgrades, etc., without adding more things to our storage room. As always, LOVE your content, Garrett.....it is REFRESHING how you NEVER begin your videos telling us what's new at Home Goods, Ikea, etc. As a DIY'er, I much prefer thrifting a high-end, well-made piece in need of a refresh, rather than spending hilarious amounts of $$ at mainstream places like Target, etc. No offense to those who decorate from those stores, but (for me) why buy average when I can get heirloom quality for pennies on the dollar? The creativity/ elbow grease to refurb or restore these great pieces is free! LOL And it's wonderful how YOU don't spend half of your videos showing us the "latest and greatest' from Amazon or CB2----YAWN....LOL You're truly the Best of The Best in this genre....am always happy to see a new Garrett LeChic video gracing my inbox. :)
Thank you for mentioning showing off your photos and family memories and kids art! One of the bigger TH-cam designers mentions not putting out personal photos etc in public rooms because it makes visitors uncomfortable to see your wedding photos etc. We aren't all millionaires entertaining strangers in our vast mansions. I think it's wonderful to see another side of a friend when I visit their house.
So many terrific ideas. I am definitely going to do a decor swap with some girlfriends next time we all get together. Always like to see your furry friends. Thanks for sharing!
Use leftover paint to paint a vase or lamp base. Use leftover wallpaper in the back of a bookcase, or inside a cabinet. Take the dust jackets off books for a more muted look, or wrap them in other types of paper.
Great video. Another way to decorate for free is to ask a friend who’s taste you admire to swap pieces. I did this with 3 of my friends a year ago. It worked out well and our homes looked newly decorated. We have a pact that anytime we want a piece back, we can have it back.
My mother had winter curtains and summer curtains and i fondly remember what a change it made to our living area. Cozy in the winter and airy in the summer. I still do this for myself.
I love this video! So many great ideas, thank you. I will definitely take my rugs out next summer and have them cleaned. So simple and I never thought of it. One free thing I've done came about accidentally. I had a friend over for dinner and while we were sipping wine on the sofa she suggested a few changes, including moving furniture from other rooms. They were changes I would never have thought of on my own and it made a massive difference. Now when I'm wanting to do something to a room I invite a few friends over and we workshop possible changes. They always point out things I wouldn't see on my own. Friends are a great resource!
You are so right! In my family it's my son's fianceé. She is a trained artist, and has come up with 2 furniture moves in 2 different rooms and it made all the difference for me!
When we used to have a living room, every six months we moved things into winter and summer modes. Really fun. What we have coming up soon though, is we're flipping two entire rooms. The office to the bedroom. Bedroom to the office. Excited to see how that goes! And it's FREE! Cheers, Ivy.
Thanks so much Lisa! They are great boys, and make regular appearances in our videos. Please take a moment if you haven't already to support the channel, and join our very valued subscriber family. :)
I inherited some antique table linens that I am afraid to use for everyday, but hate hiding them in a drawer. I also inherited a few covered cake plates which are a pain to store. So I carefully folded the lines to look like decorated cakes and put them on display in the cake plates. Love the dog! Thank you for posting.
Hi Garrett, Cornelius is so beautiful! I like your advices, there are really sustainable. As for a free decor ideas, I occasionally received pieces of fabrics that one studio decluttered and made tablecloths for my dining room. Not always these tablecloths were outstanding because of my poor sewing abilities, but it was free and refreshing. Once, after my daughter finished to play with coloured water-absorbing gel balls, I filled them into 3 different transparent glass bottles and displayed as some sort of "scientific" decor (bottles were resembling laboratory flasks with misterious colored objects inside). Once after ceramics making class I replaced all the soap dishes with the small excentric pieces that were generated during the classes.
When I get my areas exactly as I love them, I change nothing - ever! It doesn't matter the season, when I get it right, its staying exactly as it is. Of course there are always areas that I've not quite perfected yet but they only change as I find the perfect piece regardless of the season. That said, I've had a lot of decades to get it right, and I only buy if its right.
I've finally subscribed! Hi from Alberta, Canada. I own a reproduction Victorian house (with not enough closet space), am renovating my kitchen, and manage four older apartment buildings that are also being updated, so your tips are VERY helpful whether I'm on the job or at home. Thank you, Garrett!
He is the sweetest, and most loving dog one could ever hope for. He a good boy and very smart. He's a show stopper. You can't walk with him in public without many people stopping to see him, or wanting to pet him, which he loves!
Fab ideas. Thank you for opening up the possibilities. So for me, not free.. but pennies to re-do. Redecorating guest bathroom. Used black mat spray paint to change all accents to black: hand towel basket, legs of old marble top plant stand, outlet plates, unfinished ugly wood shelf under mirror, white porcelain wall decor. Amazing lift.
Dear Garrett, I was a home visiting therapist, so visited MANY homes!! I love going into peoples homes and seeing their special pieces and family photos. It’s such a great way of connecting with people and what is important to them. So many Pinterest suggestions now have no personality or special atmosphere!. It’s so wonderful that you are reinforcing such wonderful welcoming and personal decorating ideas! Love everything you shared today!
I love occasionally moving things from room to room. I had friends over for coffee, and grabbed a little tiny accent table from my home office and moved it to the living room as an extra spot to perch a cup of coffee. I liked it so much I left it there!
Hi Gerrit, many greetings from Germany. I've been following your videos for some time, and now I've finally subscribed to your channel, so I won't miss anything in the future. I find it interesting how many good ideas I can take away despite the sometimes quite clear cultural differences in terms of interior.
Hello Garret from an Australian fan. Can you please do a segment on small hallway entrances. My home is moody eclectic. However tje entrance is one i am definetely struggling with. I love all your videos and sending love to you and Albert 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thanks so much! Nice to hear from you. I'll give Albert a hug for you. He and his brothers are actually eating breakfast right now. :) Please take a moment to support the channel if you haven't already, and join our very valued subscriber family. Here is a video that covers the subject of hallways: th-cam.com/video/zVAdYKI1mNM/w-d-xo.html
Thank you! You reminded me to go pick three hydrangea blossoms and arrange them in my blue glass vase for a centerpiece on my dining table. I may be the only person who will see them, but I will see them and enjoy them.
Great tips, Garrett! Repurposing items also helps particularly with storage. A luxury candle that has been burned out can be reused as a Q tip holder or mini vase, gift packaging can be used as drawer liners & a hamper box can be reused as linen storage.
I subscribed recently and love the marketplace tip. I’m a grad student in my first apartment and it’s been great having my interior design style mature and evolve with me. It’s a new favorite hobby of mine. Most of my apartment is made up of pieces I’ve gotten from Facebook marketplace either for free or dirt cheap. A lot of these pieces are antiques that add more character than a new piece would have while also being way more affordable.
I joined recently and I’m hooked. Been binge watching and love your advice. I have moved to a new house every 5-7 years of my adult life which was when I would weed things out. Now retired I have had this great home for 12 years and it needs a big decluttering. I keep it very tidy and have it professionally cleaned, just collected too many beautiful things. This video particularly was motivational. Trying right now to redecorate/repurpose/remove (things from) the living room. You have given me food for thought. Thank you Garrett!
Great ideas! I never thought to give the rugs a breather. I’ll have to try that one. Twice a year my Mother would move all the furniture around and I loved it. My friends homes looked the same for decades. They definitely noticed ours. One even became a designer and told me she was inspired by how fresh and stylish our home was. We all grew up poor mind you.
Love all your ideas. I change accessory decor seasonally. I keep a large collection of faux flowers, plants, stems and branches and arrange them differently in different containers for a refresh in my rooms, all faux because the cat only jumps up on the dining room table or a cabinet when he smells fresh flowers, so frustrating but we love our animals, so a small sacrifice (sort of). The one thing I want to do, in this new larger home, something I've thought about for a long time is to use a dining room hutch or cabinet with glass on top to use in the bedroom instead of a dresser. There are so many good buys out there in marketplace where people are getting rid of them. Would look so cool to store pretty linen, mixed with a collectable few pieces of china. The cupboard that held dishes, I can stack folded sweaters and jeans. The silverware drawer, ideal for jewelry or what have you.
Great video as always, Garrett. I love your ideas. As well as getting the kids to create artwork, I found when my son was a kid, he thought it was a great privilege to be allowed to help me paint the walls. The neighbours' kids also asked to join in! I had protected the carpet with drop cloths, and the kids did a great job. When my son was a bit older he asked to replace a doorknob. It was not much more difficult than building something out of LEGO and so satisfying to know he was responsible for this thing he used every day. One thing that's important to note about picking wildflowers is that there are a few that should not be picked. Here in Ontario, our provincial flower, the white trillium is a beautiful but slow-growing perennial. Each spring, each plant sends up one stem with three leaves, and after years will also have one flower. Some people attempt to use them in flower arrangements but to get a long enough stem they end up cutting it off close to the ground, basically killing the plant.
All good tips! Moving your existing decor pieces around allows your eye to appreciate them more. I move my decor around seasonally and it keeps the house looking fresh without buying anything new.
For me, one of the things I have done is just... display the things I already own. This sounds so basic, but so many of us have things tucked away in cupboards and closets that are actually quite beautiful, similar to your advice about bringing out antiques. I have a straw hat with a colored band that I don't really wear anymore, but I have it sitting as part of a vignette on a bookshelf - which I also have some other pieces which are technically merch for a band I love but I've displayed in a way that they look like coffee table books and decorative boxes. On an end table in the living room I have an old jewelry box that was my mom's that I keep some other odds and ends in. I have a home office set up in my (largeish) apartment living room and the chair I bought for it is comfortable but ugly, so I often keep my denim jacket "casually" covering up the back of it, because it hides the ugly office look while styling it to fit in with the overall look of the space I have. The other advice that I know you've mentioned before that is similar but not quite the same as some of the tips you gave, is to repurpose pieces you own for functions they weren't originally intended for. If you have a dresser you're not wanting in your bedroom/spare room anymore, use it as a console table in the hall or living room. A nightstand can be an end table or also a small table at the door. Take an old dining room set and rather than getting rid of it create a dedicated games or crafting station in your basement for your family. An accent chair you're tired of in your living room might fit great in a corner of your bedroom, etc.
Of course as every else mentioned, I do the seasonal move of furniture, window treatments and art. Darn Garrett lol I can’t think of any other free thing hack..lol, I think u got them all!
For me, clutter >chaos> anxiety. I love how you mention decluttering in several videos, as I sit here nodding. Yes! It's free and makes a world of difference.
Rotating, changing with the seasons, using family pieces, and especially using my books are all things I love doing. Never thought of lightening up the space by taking up the rugs. I may try that in my dining room and let the hardwood floor shine. The cats have thrown up on it enough that it could probably stand being cleaned. Liked all of the ideas.
Hello 👋 love, love this video. I’m always rearranging and rotating, but you gave me some new ideas on freebies and I love that for me ☺️ Cornelius is so cute 🥰
I appreciate that you mention free sources. Yes, a lot of it is junk but I let that go to someone else. But I follow several places where free stuff is posted and gotten some really great stuff. I know the last time I moved, once the truck and my car were full, I put everything else out for free and lots of other people do that too. End of the month at apartment complexes is a great place to 'shop'. I don't take home stuff that's broken, dirty, or 'cheap' but I did once find an oil painting that turned out to be by an artist selling in the low thousands. Turned that around for a rug I wanted.
I move lamps around a lot, because changing the lighting makes everything look different in the evening. Also, if you have plants that are big and full, you can sometimes take clippings off of your own plants and start them in a vase with water, to repot later after they catch on. And if you are REALLY creative, and you have old artwork that you aren't that wild about, break out your extra paints and alter the artwork. Even painting black around the edges of an unframed canvas makes it look more dramatic.
Thanks so much! I'm glad you are enjoying Paola. Please take a moment if you haven't already to support the channel, and join our very valued subscriber family. :) Here is a video I did last year on combining or mixing design styles: th-cam.com/video/HBg_fuRqGV4/w-d-xo.html
Hello Garrett, all great advice and tips, I always switch things around my home to give it a fresh look I tend to get bored viewing things the same was for to long...I have learned to purchase items I love and that is antiques and vintage items. please give your sweet fur babies a smooch from me.TFS.
Another wonderful video. I adore my morning everytime you upload. Definitely, I will start using some of my leftover supplies to decorate and have fun. What an inspiration you are!!❤
Excellent ideas! I loved the idea you shared in a different video a while ago about putting silver pieces out in summer and having them nicely polished but then allowing them to tarnish for fall and winter to bring a little more warmth into the house in the colder months. The change of the silver adds a different feel throughout the year.
Love this video! Last week we rearranged a bunch of stuff and ended up putting a large armoire in the home office area. We were able to put the printer/scanner inside the armoire so now that bulky utilitarian item is hidden inside something lovely. It makes the space look so much nicer. Or as Garrett might say, it *elevates the space.* Thanks for the inspo!
Thanks so much for sharing Noel! Please take a moment if you haven't already to the support the channel, and join our very valued subscriber family. :)
Great ideas and I love sustainable aspect of it. I feel like I say that every time, but it is truly one of the things I value about your channel. One freebie I’ve done: when I move to a new house I take something from my old house and use it. I found an amazing glass-fronted attorney’s bookcase at the first house I bought on my own and it is now in my office, and also found some antique iron sock forms (not sure what they are actually called) that I have hanging up as decorations in my laundry room. Before I put my last house on the market, I took off the old brass sheeps-head door knocker and the cut glass globes and pulls from the ceiling fan (and replaced them with generic ones) and now both are up at my new house. Those things make me feel connected to previous houses that I’ve loved.
Love this. I recently painted an old open-backed bookcase with some paint I already had and relocated it into my dining area to serve as a liquor cabinet.
All of your ideas are spot-on. I love what you said about getting kids involved in decorating. Just today I asked my daughter to make a painting for the living room in our new house. She was so proud when I framed it and hung it on the wall. I also love the idea of framing vintage family photos and mixing heirlooms into the decor-- I do that too, and it has made my space more meaningful. My favorite idea is bringing in floral cuttings from outdoors. My peonies are about to bloom and I cannot wait to make a bouquet.
Great great great ideas. I love to forage for flowers and branches, just made a lovely arrangement of hydrangea, pink geranium and trailing tiny flowers from my radishes that went to seed!!! Oh, and hello sweet boy Cornelius!
The rug tip is so true! I have a beautiful handwoven Turkish rug I got when I was traveling around the middle east. It's HUGE and super intricate but I realized my current furniture is way too bulky to have something so busy underneath, not to mention the rug can't get the appreciation it deserves.
Cornelius is so cute. Gotta love that sweet face! Great ideas as always, Garrett!! During the lockdown, I worked from home (still do) so after my bedside lamp died I took the lamp that I purchased for my office at work and brought it home. Looks nice on the end table and technically free :-)
Thank you. Great tips. By not buying new its good for the enviourment . Plus finding stuff in thrift stores or family hand me downs means its something only you have . As an artist I rotate my paintings so something new to look at. Actually I keep one wall empty of any paintings so something clean white to look at and relax. Like the concept of japanese zen . Simple flower arrangements like ikebana dont require lots of flowers and make use of natural materials nature gives us free. I love the concept of leaving floors without carpets ( in warm countries) especially for people with allergies. Unfortunately doctors cannot visit their patients homes to help diagionize the root of health problems. Closed rooms with no cross ventalation along with chemical cleaning sprays and cooking smells all contribute to sick homes. Smells are the first things we encounter when entering any home. (Something to note lillies should never be kept in rooms as it sends out chemicals causing headaches drousiness etc. ). Ofcourse we cannot live in a space without our "things" . By nature we are all collectors . A beautiful view , garden definately adds to the beauty of a home.
When creating decor with nature, closely examine your twigs, branches, flowers, leaves etc. Unless you're okay with your staged decor being adorned with live insects.
Garrett always gets it right the first time! Houseplants can hide electrical cords/plugs as you do not shock yourself while watering. Use faux plants in a pot that matches your wall! Limit the colors in your rooms to reduce visual color worked for me, too! It's a ratio of balance. I try to think of the 5 senses in the room, also. Yep, including sound, scent, tastes (lemon tea bread!) Touch as well as sight. Its more homey if it pleases all your senses to me.
I’m an interior designer as well and love watching your videos. You have a great approach for sharing real design ideas for real people. Most of my clients are just that and I have a passion for showing them how to create beautiful spaces that look fabulous but still stick to their budget. It’s always so rewarding to see their reaction to the final reveal. I am a relatively new subscriber but will definitely be a faithful viewer from now on! Thank you for sharing so many of your great design secrets. Love, love.
Thanks so much for your lovely comment Bonnie! I'm so glad you are enjoying our videos. Welcome to the channel. It's great to have you as part of our very valued subscriber family! :)
I love this, we need these "free" ideas!🖤 It's great for our environment & our wallets🌎💰 Decluttering does make your space feel fresh🌱 When cleaning, decluttering or rearranging I involve my two college kids who live at home. I love to inspire them to create their own unique spaces🖼️
Thank you! When so many others are saying “buy” here you are giving great practical advice that doesn’t cost a thing! I have a debilitating illness now…I only go out to the doctor or hospital so changing up my environment really helps. A few we already do but several I’ve never thought about so they can be added to keep things fresh. Never underestimate the positive power of change in your environment to help keep you mentally healthy, especially if you’re there all the time. I just love how your shirt coordinates with your artwork btw. 💖
YES! This video is right up my alley! Lol. Also Cornelius!!! ❤I love him. I just love him, that is all. Decluttering is my #1. Not just organizing stuff, but getting rid of stuff! Especially now that I have a lot of stuff left behind from my mom, which I'm still sorting through. It's can be really helpful to bring in a friend who can see your space and stuff with a fresh eye, and bonus points if they're someone with kids, nieces, nephews, etc., heading out into the world and needing stuff for their own first homes. I find it way easier to let things go if I know I'm helping someone out....in fact I'll often start looking for more things to send their way! Lol.
Great tips! I went through some storage boxes recently and it was like Christmas! I rediscovered some cool items that I had forgotten about. So reintroducing them into your space, can give you that excitement, as if it’s something new and fresh. 🙂
I've always shifted my furniture in everyroom, it's become a sorr of game. To date, I've rearranged my small living room 13 times and have a few looks I prefer. I love it when you show us bits of your home because I love the way you design your home...not that I could have a lot of white with 10 grandbabies.. Thank you Garett for always sharing your knowledge🙏
I love the video. I remember how my mum and all my siblings used to do change things around, it was like to have a new house. I loved it. A friend said to me "why do you have to move things around? In my house I put things in place and live them there" I told her, I don't have to but I like to do it.
I'll definitely use the opportunity to clean all my rugs and store 2 away, while repositioning the others and rearrange some furniture in the entry and living room. What a splendid idea. Thank You so much.
I’m a new subscriber. I love how your advice is all very sustainable and lasting. And it makes sense. A lot of TH-camrs in this space focus on how to make it look like the magazine instead of admitting we live in homes and it also needs to be practical.

as a pre-teenager, I used to move furniture around in my bedroom to get a different feel and didn't realize this was a thing!
I love how "itty bitty" Cornelius shakes the whole set when he hops off the sofa. And his puppy purr, naturally!

"I always get it right the first time"! You are awesome.
Great ideas with removing rugs and de cluttering for a new season.
I love that your content is practical and immediately usable! I appreciate that there isn't a 10min back story to every point lol

I always gravitate to white walls, but the blue on your dining room wall is gorgeous!
Thank you! I like shades of white on some walls too, but not everywhere.
Garrett. Love Cornelius. He is such a beautiful pup!!
You are very practical!! Love, love your channel. ❤️❤️
Thank you Elizabeth! Cornealius a total sweetheart. He doesn't know anything but love. He's a prince. :)
Great video Garrett! You never disappoint!

I can’t wait to see an art piece done by Cornelius! It won’t be as gorgeous as he is though. Love these tips and ideas
🤣🤣🤣
Use leftover paint to paint a vase or lamp base. Use leftover wallpaper in the back of a bookcase, or inside a cabinet. Take the dust jackets off books for a more muted look, or wrap them in other types of paper.

I love to “shop my own home “. A piece in a new location is like a brand new piece.
Thanks so much! Glad you are enjoying.🐶🐶🐶
I’m a big rearranger lol. My poor hubby sometimes trips over something that wasn’t there yesterday 🤷♀️
Be careful! :)
I have rearranged my furniture forever. I call it "The Dance of Furniture".
Garrett actually gives practical and useful tips, I like how he doesn't encourage the "go buy".. I love his furry children too
Thanks so much for your support Melida!
Awesome! Thank you! Welcome to the channel Pam. It's great to have you as part of our very valued subscriber family. :)
Love Cornelius
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed. :)
Thank you Debby, and thanks for sharing!
I love occasionally moving things from room to room. I had friends over for coffee, and grabbed a little tiny accent table from my home office and moved it to the living room as an extra spot to perch a cup of coffee. I liked it so much I left it there!
Sounds great!
Hi Gerrit, many greetings from Germany. I've been following your videos for some time, and now I've finally subscribed to your channel, so I won't miss anything in the future. I find it interesting how many good ideas I can take away despite the sometimes quite clear cultural differences in terms of interior.
Thanks. Welcome to the channel. Subscribing is so important to creators, and we really appreciate that you did.
😁😁😁
love seeing your fur babies.
🐶🐶🐶
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the video. :)
Welcome to the channel! It's great to have you as part of very valued subscriber family.
Welcome to the channel Roberta! It’s great to have you as part of our very valued subscriber family. I’m so glad you are enjoying our videos! 😁😁😁
Glad you enjoyed!😁😁😁
I love that sweet boy Cornelius. 🐶 Thank you for the great ideas!
You are so welcome!
Hi Garrett, I just subscribed to your channel. You make some great points and have a charming personality…Unless I steal flowers from your yard. :-)
Welcome to the channel! Its great to have you as part of our very valued subscriber family. Glad you are enjoying the content.
Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. :)
Thanks so much, and thank you for sharing!
All good tips! Moving your existing decor pieces around allows your eye to appreciate them more. I move my decor around seasonally and it keeps the house looking fresh without buying anything new.
Great idea!!
Love that! Not the cat vomiting lol. Glad you enjoyed. :)
Hello 👋 love, love this video. I’m always rearranging and rotating, but you gave me some new ideas on freebies and I love that for me ☺️ Cornelius is so cute 🥰
Thanks so much Lucy!🐶🐶🐶
Love your videos! I’m watching you from the province of Quebec, Canada. I love your dogs too

Hello Garrett, all great advice and tips, I always switch things around my home to give it a fresh look I tend to get bored viewing things the same was for to long...I have learned to purchase items I love and that is antiques and vintage items. please give your sweet fur babies a smooch from me.TFS.
Sounds great!
Another wonderful video. I adore my morning everytime you upload. Definitely, I will start using some of my leftover supplies to decorate and have fun. What an inspiration you are!!❤
Thanks so much for your lovely comment Jade!
Hi Garrett , love your channel, love from Amsterdam.
Hello there! Welcome. Please take a moment if you haven't already to support the channel, and join our very valued subscriber family.
Excellent ideas! I loved the idea you shared in a different video a while ago about putting silver pieces out in summer and having them nicely polished but then allowing them to tarnish for fall and winter to bring a little more warmth into the house in the colder months. The change of the silver adds a different feel throughout the year.
Thanks so much! Yes the colors from the tarnish on silver pieces can add warmth and rich colors for the fall and winter seasons.
You always have different content than everyone else. Love that! Thanks for another great, helpful video!
Glad you enjoy it!

Thanks for sharing! Glad you enjoyed!
I like to switch up the throw pillow covers and mantle decorations each season. Its simple but makes a huge difference.

Love this. I recently painted an old open-backed bookcase with some paint I already had and relocated it into my dining area to serve as a liquor cabinet.
Glad you enjoyed!😊😊😊
All of your ideas are spot-on. I love what you said about getting kids involved in decorating. Just today I asked my daughter to make a painting for the living room in our new house. She was so proud when I framed it and hung it on the wall. I also love the idea of framing vintage family photos and mixing heirlooms into the decor-- I do that too, and it has made my space more meaningful. My favorite idea is bringing in floral cuttings from outdoors. My peonies are about to bloom and I cannot wait to make a bouquet.
Thanks so much! Glad you are enjoying. :)
Great great great ideas. I love to forage for flowers and branches, just made a lovely arrangement of hydrangea, pink geranium and trailing tiny flowers from my radishes that went to seed!!!
Oh, and hello sweet boy Cornelius!
Thanks Kathryn! I'll give Cornealius a hug for you. He is a so sweet.
I love to rotate my art collection every couple months. :) Can really change the energy in the space. Love your videos Garrett!
Love that! Thanks so much!
The rug tip is so true! I have a beautiful handwoven Turkish rug I got when I was traveling around the middle east. It's HUGE and super intricate but I realized my current furniture is way too bulky to have something so busy underneath, not to mention the rug can't get the appreciation it deserves.
Love the golf shirt!
I'm all about free! Thank you Garrett.
Cornelius is so cute. Gotta love that sweet face! Great ideas as always, Garrett!! During the lockdown, I worked from home (still do) so after my bedside lamp died I took the lamp that I purchased for my office at work and brought it home. Looks nice on the end table and technically free :-)
Cornealius is definitely a showstopper, and he has a heart of gold. :)
Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for sharing.
😊😊😊
Thanks so much Denise, and thank you for sharing!
Great tips and advice! You are simply the best! I went outside and cut some green leaf and flowers and brought them inside as soon as you said it lol!
Glad you enjoyed!
Thanks so much! Sounds awesome Maria!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video Chelsea, and I really appreciate you sharing, and happy it
helps! :)
Lol.
Yay!!!🐶🐶🐶😊😊
Great tips! I went through some storage boxes recently and it was like Christmas! I rediscovered some cool items that I had forgotten about. So reintroducing them into your space, can give you that excitement, as if it’s something new and fresh. 🙂
Thank you’😊😊😊
I've always shifted my furniture in everyroom, it's become a sorr of game. To date, I've rearranged my small living room 13 times and have a few looks I prefer. I love it when you show us bits of your home because I love the way you design your home...not that I could have a lot of white with 10 grandbabies..
Thank you Garett for always sharing your knowledge🙏
Glad you enjoyed!
I love the video. I remember how my mum and all my siblings used to do change things around, it was like to have a new house. I loved it. A friend said to me "why do you have to move things around? In my house I put things in place and live them there" I told her, I don't have to but I like to do it.
Thanks so much!
Love your basic white/off white pallet with the beautiful pops of color through photography, vessels, curtains, etc. Awesome free ideas!

Thank you so much! Welcome to the channel Asha. It's great to have you as part of our very valued subscriber family. :)
