You will never convince me that Konnor would not have been on the Paris squad if not for the injury that happened moments after this beam. She was absolutely so strong on all events in PT and warm ups - that spot was hers. So much poise and skill to not have any worlds/ olympic level accolades. Wishing her a full recovery, a continued dominating NCAA career, and if she wants it-> LA 2028. May she recover like Andrade has through so many injuries, to become one of the world's best ever; she has the potential.
I think you’ll find she’s got the determination to make a strong comeback and try for the 2028 squad. Girl has overcome a lot, I too hope it doesn’t derail things.
@@saragrant9749 If anyone can do it, I have no doubt Konnor can! I will be so here for it. She's been on my dream Paris squad even when some folks weren't sure if she'd come back elite or not... I 100% believe she has the potential to be 2028 home turf AA champ, if she wants it!
@JoshuaBaldwin-rh5lk Yes - that was all the buzz - she was doing SO well in PT & warm ups. Everyone was on notice - she was coming for that spot (and I believe she would have gotten it, too.) In Konnor 2028 we trust!
@@chatapratt7680 yes that’s right! i was looking forward to seeing her compete at classics and nationals, but i hope she recovers for the next NCAA season at LSU!
Heartbreaking. She floated thru this beam routine. Such a bright addition to the comp and then that injury 😢. Have to wonder now what the other rotations would have looked like. A shakeup in the ranks?
Her international career is not necessarily over. She can return when she finishes college, or she could leave college to focus on elite. Wishing Konnor a very speedy recovery!
Konnor came for a spot on that Olympic team. Everything about this routine was drop dead gorgeous. I'm devastated as a fan that she could only compete beam.
It is her event. The one bright spot is she took bronze for beam even though she was in the first rotation on it. Proves how strong it her routine was. I have hope that she will come back stronger than ever!
My heart shatters for her! She has been through SOOOOOO MUCH WTF?!!! She doesn't deserve this!!!! She had a very real chance of being on that Olympic team. Fck. I hope she recovers and will be at worlds next year.
She started college this year, and her team LSU won the national championships for the first time ever! She will most likely concentrate on college for now, but there is no reason she can't try for worlds or Olympics as well, or after she graduates. If you haven't seen her college routines, look them up on TH-cam because they're stunning! ❤
No she's out for the rest of the season. Achilles are very serious and require surgery and long recovery. Just hoping she can come back for worlds next year. My heart breaks for her 😢 she has had countless setbacks and the death of her father. She wanted this Olympics so bad for him.
It is such a shame to learn that she was injured just minutes later on floor warmup. Achilles injuries are serious business. I’m really hoping she can make an Olympic team- 2028 perhaps, but it definitely doesn’t look like this year will happen. Really heartbreaking.
@@MacyNickleby-zy6kh Doing a double lay out in floor warm ups. A skill she has performed with ease all of NCAA season.... had a freak low landing, but reportedly achilles often snap during takeoff, so that might have caused the low landing. :(

She did so well!!! I was looking forward to her competing this year. Im so sad for her rn 😢 Hopefully she will continue elite!
Sad for what?
@@fakename5400 she sustained an ACL injury during the next rotation for floor warm ups

3rd place with a timer dismount! She crushed it! So sad for her injury - best wishes for a speedy recovery ❤
And with no dismount!!! Her beam was going to be HUGE for us. Ugh I'm so sad for her!
Honestly think she should have gotten second. Sunis E score was inflated IMO
her toe point is everything. so sad for her, wishing her a safe recovery. luck wasn't on her side but she deserved to be a top int'l gymnast

Beautiful beam routine. College gymnastics has made her so much more happy and confident. So great to see!
Oh Konnor, what an absolutely beautiful routine! Wishing you the speediest recovery and much joy at LSU! 💜💛

Wishing her a great recovery 🫶
I hope she gets better, I was there at the meet and it was so sad to see her get hurt! Feel better!❤❤❤
So gorgeous ❤ I hope her Achilles injury isn’t so bad and she can go to nationals

Wow a 14.2 with her timer dismount! I feel I started counting her out because of her not coming back in 2023 to Elite but she is proving me wrong
She injured her Achilles 😭
@@hexa3171 Seriously?! Is this over for her Olympic bid or does she have a chance to be back at trials or nationals
