Harrisburg 1987: People tempt fate by walking onto icy Susquehanna River

In the days after Christmas in 1987, kids were eager to try out their new ice skates, or even go ice fishing, on the Susquehanna River. Crews were called out four times to rescue young people who became trapped on the ice.
