      @@glendavesich2677 No, and my color has faded, since then, but I am planning to re-do w/same color! I was very happy. I've tried this shade in many other brands, but this was the best result & got many compliments. My original color is dark brown. I am sure yours will come out awesome! My hair is a couple of inches past my shoulders, so I used 2 boxes.

      This is the same $1 hair dye I have been using for the past year or two to cover my grey and deepen my color. IT'S GREAT! Your hair turned out looking so good, I may try just coloring the top and half way down on mine next time!

    You can always cut more off of the tip of the bottle to make it come out faster or buy a bottle at Sally's and put the color and developer in it. You can also use 20 volume developer from Sally's Beauty if you run out of any developer. I have been a Cosmetologist since 1991. Those are some tips of the trade learned 😁

    Mine came without the directions and I'm so glad I saw yours but I can't do it until I know how long do you keep it in for please ,please, somebody answer! Also subscribed, I love to watch these type of editorials ... I will never pay $ 100.00 again for a full dye job. Moneys been tight and all my girlfriends dye their own hair looking fabulous but, I've been afraid ! Not anymore after watching you I'm going for it. I noticed when you dye your hair it gives better luster aka shine and it looks thicker which is a bonus seeing that I'm reaching 66 yrs. and since going through menopause my body has changed thinner hair, dry, dry, iguana, alligator dry skin, LOL-hahahaha😂 you have to bath in a nice oil of your preference because you can't use a body lotion any longer being you sweat off in on at anytime. I wouldn't wish menopause on anyone so, much so, I apologized to my mom for the one year she made us go through winter without heating the house true story! 😂😂👍 Praise be that I worked for a few plastic surgeons and in my 20s they all told me to keep my face drenched in the evening with retinol A lotion and Vitamin C serum. I also do my own lasering along with light therapy with heat then cool down your entire face with a bowl of cold spring water. I have not any wrinkkes just a slight thin couple of lines that I see and the neck is the hardest but, its natural has some weinkkes however, no alcohol lots of water and vegetarian. You just really got massage your face morning and night if retinol A bothers your skin please just look for a product that has less and in a face cream . I recently asked one of my surgeons if its time to tighten up my face and he tells me he doesn't need the money bad enough to say yes, especially he feels I'm aging gracefully and all we need is vitamin C serum and cream and a retinol A product. He said once you cut your face for a lift that you are actually cutting into the facial muscles and says , once you do that all your elasticity is gone and your face breaks down extremely faster and you'll also need another lift every 5 to 10 yrs. With each result worsening because it won't stay up long because of the loss of elasticity in your face and so unless you have the money to keep up then go for it however, he suggests a strong maintenance care and avoid the knife for as long as you can. All my friends are wrinkled lots and I have to say I'm blessed nearing 70 and feeling great about myself. I say , grow old gracefully keep your natural self . But, thats my opinion. Oh my , I wrote a book ! 😂😂😂 Please forgive me . I can't believe it . I was going to delete but, hey, its about beauty and loving ourselves. ❤❤❤ I noticed it says, 30 minutes .. Got it ! Thanks for posting I look forward to what you have coming. Your very beautiful.- ❤

  • @allison2879
    @allison2879 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I think you should use color oops hair color remover and just start over. Your hair is so saturated with several red hair dyes that when you do try a "new" hair dye, You're not seeing true results or color payoff.

    • @thetypewoman
      @thetypewoman  8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I've always dyed my hair but I've come into money troubles as of late so I figured I'd try dollar store stuff, I just bought the exact same box earlier today and I was nervous about using it so I was looking to see if it was even safe and I came across this, and I'm surprised you really squashed my fears and if my hair falls out I blame YOU! jk.

    • @thetypewoman
      @thetypewoman  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      LOL!! OMG if it falls out I will cry! I hope it turns out well, let me know how you like it, and I'm so happy you found my video so it could help you simmer your concerns! The fear of the unknown (especially when it comes to hair dye) is real! I get anxiety every time I dye my hair a new color. It never goes away. Hahaaa!

  • @VincentBalducci
    @VincentBalducci 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Thats so cool! Ive been looking for video reviews of this color ive seen it at the local dollar store. Its interesting because the number is 3RV and my experience with professional hair color is a level 3 is a darkest brown so its a very dark plum. This color looks more coppery. Im wondering if a brush a bowl would have made the application easier because that color looked as thick as clay.

    • @thetypewoman
      @thetypewoman  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Yeah this was a thicker color but not nearly as thick as the color I just used (check my most recent vids). It may work better to apply with brush and bowl but I'm so stinking uncoordinated and started my hair dyeing journey with the bottle that I don't like applying any other way. :)
      And yeah, you'd think it would be a darker red with it saying 3RV! But it's not. It's probably closer to a level 5 or 6.
      If you try this color, let me know!

  • @micahdirig1109

    If you want this color brighter use a hairdryer to warm it up while it's developing. The color gets brighter

    • @thetypewoman

      Good tip!! Thank you! I'll be sure to share that!

    • @micahdirig1109
      @micahdirig1109 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      just be careful it can burn your hair if its to close, you can also put a shopping bag over your hair, not over your head just over your hair to keep the head in and then use a hair dryer to warm up the bag making a little green house affect. The heat makes things sooooo much brighter! :D just did mine bright orange last night and it works great :D

  • @saywhatseidu

    when its so thick cant you just add some conditioner to it? or no

    • @thetypewoman
      @thetypewoman  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Good question! I'm not sure on that one. It would make sense but I wonder if you add conditioner that it wouldn't be as saturating on your hair. I guess in that regard you could leave it on your hair longer or buy another box to have more product.

    I just bought this today cause I’m literally broke. What level do you think it is? I haven’t used it yet I have light red natural instinct in my hair right now but I was worried if I go in the ocean it may just come completely out and I need to GO IN the ocean before I can’t. I’m debating if I should get a 3rd box. Also sorry for so many questions I’ve seen you mix reds with blondes before. Have you thought about trying that with this? I know this video is older I’m so glad I found your channel since I’m actually RESTARTING my red hair journey after two decades... idk why it took me so long to go back I absolutely always feel like a natural red head and I always get that “I liked your hair red better”

    • @thetypewoman
      @thetypewoman  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello! That is a good question! I ended up dyeing my hair four weeks later because I wanted my hair brighter. Whether that was because it faded faster than the other colors, I'm not sure. Sorry I am not of better help! My family and friends loved how it looked at the four-week mark, it looked a little softer of a color, but still pretty (I wash my hair twice a week).

    • @thetypewoman
      @thetypewoman  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Perhaps. I'm not sure though. I think this dye will only add a red tint to your hair, Considering how inexpensive it is, you can try it without bleaching your hair and if that doesn't work, wait a few weeks and then bleach before dyeing. :)

    • @ngeleyes33
      @ngeleyes33 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Garnier have like 3 different color for bleach so u can try first that then would be easy to get that color you want like platinum or silver ...red or pick high colors
