The Esperanza Court provides transitional residential support to individuals enrolled in the Bexar County Human Trafficking Court. This Bexar County Specialty Court began operating in May 2014 with the aim of interrupting the cycle of prostitution, arrests and addiction that devastates the lives of women and men. Shortly after the court’s inception, Crosspoint agreed to add its proven model of transitional residential services to the court’s resources. Crosspoint’s Esperanza program provides a safe and secure residential experience for clients.
The program is co-located in our Residential Reentry Center where that program’s structure and accountability rules provide clients positive support in their challenging transition. Esperanza clients who lack positive supports in the community need time to establish a stable foundation for independent growth and success. The Crosspoint program provides a safe haven from which Esperanza clients can take time to build their skills and resources as they prepare for a new life

Thank you so much for these videos that follow a case from start to finish. I feel invested in some of these people's cases and always wish I knew the outcome. You are great at piecing all the cases together, and I'm sure I'm not the only one that appreciates the hard work this involves.
Judge Boyd is extremely tough, but she is unbiased & fair! She is the very definition of equal justice & the only reason she is so tough is because she cares & she wants these people to do better. This is extremely rare in a Judge, much less a court. Most Judges are not fair, equal & unbiased, they also tend to view the defendants not as people but lost causes & a waste of resources. That is just wrong on so many levels & why so many are repeat offenders. Judge Boyd should be training other Judges on how to properly execute the duties of their office!
The very description of what Texas needs in a SENATOR OR GOVERNOR
( not Cruz or Abbot
I totally agree with you. She is one of the best judges I have seen.
Gives offenders with multiple offenses probation upon probation. Ya real tough.
Yes. She’s first class.
@@nfh688jfnieI believe she does that so that She can say without a doubt, she Tried !!
Trust Me when I say, when these defendants return AND THEY ALWAYS DO…..
SHE WILL REVOKE REMAND.
MY ISSUE IS….THE AMT. OF TIME THEY GET.
I PERSONALLY FEEL THAT ID THEY RETURN AFTER THREE CHANCES….
THEY SHOULD BE LOCKED UP…… FOR. ORE THAN 6, 12,18,24 Months..
Go above and beyond the recommended by at least…1 to 2 yrs. …
I’m sorry but, 18 months…just isn’t long enough.😢
I hope the defendant is doing well and getting the help she needs. She seems much much healthier and calmer at her last hearing.
She's a manipulative monster. There's a reason she is stuck on this road in the first place.
She has a lot of patience with defendants with mental illness.
Probation was well above this ladies abilities from the start.
She’s a victim of trafficking.
I agree!! She was not going to comply for 10 years… she didn’t make it 10 days before she decided it wasn’t worth it
You're in jail. Conditions won't be great, might not even be almost awful. That's why you don't want to go back. She looks so much better in the last appearance. Glad she's getting well.
It was great too & also to hear her heartfelt apology. I hope she can make a go of it this time
How come I have a strong feeling this woman will be back in prison within the year?
Judge Boyd is amazing...
I genuinely hope that the defendant gets her life together. I hope that she is able to find and maintain a support network and medication that will allow her to thrive as a member of society.
Love this Judge she is so beautiful a true lady and a great lady she does all ladies proud She is fair and just Heart of gold
I must give Credit to her Mother who raised them well
@@ritarodrigues9946 I am raising 3 grand children and use her quotes alot about choices not mistakes have so much respect for her
This is in Texas, complaining that the A/C was too cold?!? The men’s prisons do not have A/C at all.
That's the courthouse that is so cold (for the suit crowd). Jail I expect is a much different temp
Crazy how a mentally unstable felon picks up another assault, is given deferred, and refuses to follow conditions is still continued on deferred. Pretty disgusting, and scary
She’s a victim of trafficking.
She is a victim of trafficking.
Judge Boyd does what she thinks is the best for the people in front of her.
lots of people don't believe they are unwell... it's sad. i think they need more workers to support their other needs than just meds
Weak judge Boyd. She is forever letting criminals out on their 3rd probation violations.
After 20 yrs in prison & having mental illness, she may have become institutionalized & may never change.
As a feature of this channel, the cases are followed, so my sincere congratulations to the production team of this channel. Judge Boyd as always fair and with great compassion for those who put herself in her hands to make a decision. but this time I want to praise this lady's courage and directness in her sincere apology.
Interrupters come back.
Judge Boyd blocks off extraneous talk & complaints and focuses straight at the orders and procedures. No b.s., no delays.
How many taxpayer dollars has this woman consumed between corrections, welfare and disability?!?!
@vegasilkit That's the case with virtually everybody coming through criminal court...just a constant drain on society.
I have mental health issues for 47 years. It's sad this lady doesn't understand what's going on. She needs inpatient treatment.
Well with some people you can't get them to take the help being offered, for whatever reasons. It's kinda like with alcoholism, and drug addiction. Until the person admits there is a problem and they need help, nothing is going to change. Don't know if she refuses to see she has a problem, or is in denial and doesn't think she even has a problem. So she isn't going to seek help. Then you have those that do seek the help but want it on their terms, and by their rules, and it doesn't work that way. If you are going to accept the help offered, you have to abide by what the doctors are telling you and follow all instructions.
What a great Judge!
This Judge really tries to help people. She is VERY VERY fair
dude in hearing 2 & 3 does mad work. he always brings it every time he appears in this court and he gets some of the wonkiest situations, too.
No, I really agree with this with Judge Boyd. I don’t always agree with everything that she does, but I certainly agree with this. I mean, this is a tough case. And she approached it with fairness, but also understanding that this person has problems but she wasn’t gonna let her use that to manipulate her way out of something either. And that’s what I really liked the best, everyone brought this case even Mr. Munoz, did a beautiful job. I imagine it’s easy to want to give up on people that have had a bent history, but they’re still a living breathing human and we just like those hopes so maybe this is the opportunity she needs to get it together and have somewhat of a remainder of life left. She’s a tough old gal, she can do this
I love Judge Boyd & wish my nephew had of had her for his Judge because I truly believe that he would be alive today with her judicial guidance & assistance 😢💔😢
❤️❤️❤️
I’m sorry for your loss🙏
You can definitely tell the ones who have a passion for doing this that want to help people and the ones that are being a judge just for the money. judge Boyd cares about everybody that steps through the door because she sees the good and everybody at some point
@@erinjordan6972 Thank you
I am so very sorry for the loss of your nephew.
I enjoyed this case. Thanks for your efforts.
Glad you enjoyed it
I hope she will remain calmer as Judge Boyd seemed to reach her saturation point with arguing she said /she said.
This lady without a doubt needs help. All her she has had problems.I hope God has mercy on her.
This woman knows ALL the buzz words and I truly hope she stays on her meds and changes for the better.
Love the back to back
I think sometimes it's a shield. You feel awkward, you feel humiliated, you go on the offensive. I'm not saying it's a wise choice tho.
What? Esperanza is for victims of trafficking. This woman is a victim of trafficking. No wonder she has mental health issues.
She’s not all there. Judge Boyd knows her stuff
Can anyone tell me why she was in prison for 20 years, or did I miss that? Thank you!
I don't think she said why, but she was rambling so fast I couldn't understand most of what she said. She was clearly a different person this last hearing. Her meds do work, apparently.
Thank you dear Judge, your $1 worth of advice, (which in my opinion is Worth more than you say)
Blessings from Houston 🙏
I truly hope and actually pray this woman makes it! I lost my brother due to mental health problems and living on the street. I tried my hardest to help him in my home. He wouldn't stay.😢 This woman seems ready! 🙏Thank you, Judge Boyd! 🧡☺️✌️
Call me crazy, but I always wonder what happened to these people in their lifetime. I picture them as a new born baby and God only knows what she went through - I would bet sexual abuse by a relative, dysfunctional "family", probably no family at all, certainly no guidance. I know she has done wrong, but folks can't pick their parents - they are just thrust into the world with crappy "parents".
Thank you! ❤
Judge Boyd is an awesome💐Judge💐…she is esp empathetic to those w/mental issues AND our vulnerable children that need help. In watching many of her court cases, I LEARN something new..today to step back upon an issue I may disagree with when I’m upset
…is worth many $Dollars$
True colors popped up
How many times can someone skate on major crimes based on mental illness? Is it me or does there seem to be more and more people suffering from mental illness?
*"Say it, forget it. Write it, regret it."*
She's got arms like popeyes
A very old and out of shape Popeye!
Please do a follow up…
If there is one.
I’m sure there will be.
Hope not but……????😊
I LOVE this Judge. You couldn't ask for a fairer Judge
I could be wrong, but it looked like the longer she was jailed and being medicated the better she looked overall.
I hope she stays medicated.
I agree. I believe she's been on her medication long enough that it's kicking in and calming her anxiety down. She was a totally different person at this last hearing. She was actually happy. I just hope she stays on her meds.
I love Judge Boyd ❤ Big hug from Rienzi MS
She wants to run the court over judge Boyd😢
Apparently jail food is copious
Looks like she's lost weight hence the extra skin
No, it's crap - seed oils & starches. Not healthy at all
My beautiful niece was in prison in Ocala for three months (DUI)..
She said they ate nothing but carbs.. She gained 30 lbs.. And she was not a big eater.. She was very tiny..
She cut out carbs once she got out and list all the weight..
I gained weight from a medicine my doctor put me on (for anxiety and weight gain). I hardly ate at all and that pill packed the weight on..
I took myself off of the medication, didn't eat carbs for three weeks and dropped that 20 pounds..
I've never seen anybody not gain weight after being in jail..
Sad..
I think she looks much nicer in the orange. It is more suited to her complexion.
Prostitution? EEeeek
Don't get too loud about it. I'm sure you or at least one of your friends has sought out some company-for-pay. She clearly operated fine and had clients...
WTF did she do to get 20 yrs, she must’ve been very young when she was sentenced to 20 yrs
Looks like jail is a good weight loss program.
Mr Munoz is one big cuddly bear.
Do people really think going to prison is like going to the Spa??? Ah No! Deplorable conditions? Ah yeah 🙄
She put on a lot more weight in 6 weeks . She’s going to end up very obese if she doesn’t watch it . I mean My 600 pound life is right around the corner . Now that I’m looking, she may have had some kind of bypass surgery looking at her arms
Most mental health medications have side effects that causes massive weight gain and VERY quickly.
One of a pretty major side effect that make people stop taking the meds.
Why order 200 hrs of community service but then waive it by completion of a class also being ordered. Is it just a for show thing that's not really meant? Court allows defendants to believe it's all optional because it usually seems to be
They didn’t let her put on a bra?
I also love your channel and love watching you make something spectacular out of a hunk of metal but on this job I'm a little disappointed as in the end you are a job shop. I know your TH-cam and Patreon things benefit you very well but like I said you are a job shop. You get paid for making things. There is absolutely no way you made a dime on this job. 2 hours and 15 minutes for each piece x 8 pieces on a big machine that I'm guessing runs on 220. That's about 20 hours machine time. The pieces turned out fantastic!! Beautiful job but you know you can't make any money on jobs like this. But keep up the content. Definitely a fan
Too many chances at the expense of tax payers!!!
Ok she's had psychiatric care since the age of 9, did 20 years in prison, and has done this that and the other. In other words what she is trying to say w/out saying it, is she has been under some sort of doctors care since she was 9 and has been around the block, and with her experience there isn't a doctor out there that can help her. She knows what's best for her, and doesn't want a doctor telling her what to do, and if needs to be medicated, has to take her medicine, if ordered.
Now after I said all that, here we are 6 weeks later, and that is exactly what she tried to do. She wanted to do the program on her terms, and not the way the court laid it out and told her what was going to be expected of her. But she didn't want to do it according to the court, she wanted to do it her way. Exactly like I said above. She don't need no stinkin doctor, or medication, she knows better than they do. So here we are....................I knew she was going to do this after hearing her from the first court case, and the statements she made in regards to her psychiatric care.
Now here we are 1 month later, wonder what she has done so far??? I am betting she hasn't completed one thing the court ordered her to do!!!!!! Why is it these defendants don't try to do better and be better the first time around?? No, they fool around, they skirt the courts orders, and try to get away with anything they can. Till they are caught, again and again. Then after multiple chances, took it for granted got caught and go in front of the judge 2, 3, and 4 times. Now they want to be better, and do the right thing....................
Wow- that defendant does not skip arm day 😂
👍👍
Awww look at the baby bag. 😂
Many times people need better nutrition. Not medication.
The combination is hugely important. Brain gut connection is real!
She needs one more thing, a diet plan!
She’s probably on so many meds that she can’t help it. Not everyone is perfect like you are. Shame on you.
I bet her farts are incredible. She should get herself a camera and film her farts and then start a TH-cam channel. There's people making their whole careers off of fart videos. She could build a community of followers and just be happy.
Ok, so this is not good. Something wrong with her elbow joints. Just as a public courtesy, they need to keep this person out of the public eye. We don't need children having to see this and get traumatized for decades.
She's overweight. If she could drop a few pounds, things would be so much better for her.
I always check a few of the comments before viewing the clips because there are some that I just can't watch..
I know I have to watch this one too see what the 'elbow' thing about..
Disabled people traumatize kids???? Screw you. Think about what you just said.
You win the most Fd up comment award on TH-cam so far today
Chill out, weirdo. She just has lymphedema. Her lymph nodes aren't draining. That is incredibly common and especially among older people
Mr. Munoz is a handsome attorney.
