- Former Kenner engineer Jacob Miles was an original member of the company’s Star Wars team.
He talks about the Boba Fett auction figure that never made it to store shelves due to its rocket launcher.
Heritage Auctions is offering one of the two surviving hand-painted, missile-firing Boba Fett action figures that were pulled from the production line.

All these old timer toy guys need to have their memories preserved.
I had the proofs of purchase. We ordered it. I remember when it came, in a little white box, with no working rocket and a note of apology about why they nixed it.
I was one of the kids who waited a year or so to get my non firing version.
Jacob Miles is my new found hero!! ❤
I was not aware too cool I hope they do all the popular characters and then I hope they do 300 points of articulation lol MAY THE 4TH BE WIITH YOU!
Very cool.
$1,000,000?
Its gonna be interesting to see where it goes....its like the Honus Wagner of action figures.
$525k
$525k!! Congratulations, Sir 👏👍
It would be" MOST IMPRESSIVE " to re-release the boba with the original rocket launcher system. # Bring back the Boba!!
they have already done that and there is even a kit bashed version which I think is super cool
@@juliosanchez8263 the original kit bashed Boba Fett prototype would fetch a pretty penny like the Toy Fair mockup card.. then you have these prototype engineering pilots with the different rocket slots and various mold colors that have greatly increased in value the last 10 years.
But what if it doesnt survive......shipping?
Its worth a lot to ME!
