Same here in BC Canada, about every 10 yr they come through & prune as needed. Sometimes the crew will try to make it look nice but basically they are required to remove everything within a certain distance of the lines. If the property owner doesn't keep it in check then they can't blame the power company.
Their only consideration is to keep the branches a spevific distance from the power lines. If you want it to look nice then remember, it is the property owner's responsibility to keep the trees pruned.@@Lolalolalola999
Funny thing we don’t have a right to say what is trimmed in a right of way for utilities but it’s straightforward what we cannot plant in a utility right of way here in the United States.
I have to say that the last time our power company trimmed a tree on our property they very kindly also chipped up some old brush that was laying beneath it. Without us even asking! As my husband and I are now pushing 70, we were very grateful.
Some trees trimmed by power companies they hire to cut trees, a beautiful tree could look like a Y or one half to three quarters of the tree is cut away. But it is needed due power outages.
In the US the power company doesn’t ask. They just do it. And they can be brutal!
They are brutal. Don't think they really care what the tree looks like after they are done. Shameful 😮😮😮

That tree is in the wrong place. The homeowner needs regular maintenance-what a job! Good work!
Looks so much better ❤! My arms are tired just watching you do those hedges😂.
Hello Fayaz, you did a good job getting all those shrubs and trees cut back and under control. Watching from Tasmania, Australia
