    Chin up, chest out! Your time is still incredible, you inspire me... forget this race, we are no machines. i also made the same bad experience at munich marathon 2 weeks before... sometimes you can't explain what the problem was, but hey... that's why we love running marathon, you never know what you get. Good luck from austria!🇦🇹 Your big fan, Franz

    I am so happy to hear you say in effect “it was what it was” I am exactly the same after a race. I go for the PR but if I don’t achieve it, no excuses. I was tracking you and I unfortunately couldn’t cheer any louder 🙂 Great job either way dude !

    My Brother I'm so darn proud of you for staying positive no matter what and showcasing that to the people around you. You inspired me starting today to put the work in if I want the results. Tomorrow I run my 29th full. The result may not be what I want but I'll come back stronger next season. The pavement will be there when we're ready.

  • @iberiksoderblom
    @iberiksoderblom 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I think it's got something to do with "October".
    The first weekend of october I scratched my car on a granite pole.
    Then my dishwasher broke down.
    Driving to get a new one, my car broke down.
    The next day I got the influenza and was struck down for 5 days.
    Looking in my calendar for the last 12 years, I can see a pattern that October tends to be the mont with most cases of bad luck.
    Including broken tooth, muscle injuries, broken car key in the ignition, radiator hose broken, divorce amd much more.
    I think I should stay in bed, the whole month !!!

    Are those socks good for longer distances never used them before or nobody's actually explained either

    • @BenParkes
      @BenParkes  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are actually just calf sleeves from Compressport.. but also have black socks, so they appear like long socks. I usually wear them for big efforts as they can help support the calf muscle and promote blood flow. Then jury is always out on how effective they are.. but I've run some great times wearing them, so keep using them!
