i personally really like the look of the car, it really seems to suit me perfectly. they are cheap and for the price its very hard to find something as reliable as a honda, another good plus

Sick video, I love it!!!! the DC2 was my first love, but ended up with an MK3 GTI.
Integras are great cars... Had a DA9 LS at one point in time, think I'm gonna get a DC2 GS-R after I get back from basic training. Cool little cars that you can have fun with and daily drive. Definitely a lot more respectable than a Civic too.

why are some integras 4 bolt and some 5 bolt in the rims ? is the 4 bolt not type R ?
Yep. But some people will change a 4 lug to 5 for different styled wheels and some tracks I know only allow 5 lugs
Nannestadboy The Tegs came with both. Including the Type R's. The first Japanese R's in 96 were four bolt, then they brought out the 98 spec with 5 bolts. The US, Euro and Aus/NZ Type R examples were all 5 bolt IIRC?

God bless to all. personal opinion, integra is unique. they mess up the car when they decided to call it RSX. the round lights are better. i also like the other lights but on the type R. my brother had one. 2001 integra black. they are fast in the acceleration.

i need one so damn badly.... can anyone tell me if they re still viable cars even if used alot? is the v-tec engine durable? im thinking about buying one with about 150 000 km (~93 000 miles) on it.
SpoonFromSwitzerland yes they are... great great cars .... cars like these have soul..... not like the new ones... I have a 97 ... has been NA and turbo and now NA and still pulls strong . . . if you put good quality parts these cars are one of the best ff oldschool cars out there . . .
SpoonFromSwitzerland FWIW Mine(JDM 98 spec R) has 160,000+ Kms in it. I got it direct from Japan in 06 with 40 something Kms on it. Daily driver in rain, hail, sun and snow. Problems? Feck all. The catalytic convertor died, because a spark plug died and flooded it with petrol and it has for some odd reason killed two coils in the distributer. That's it. Original exhaust, clutch etc, uses near zero oil(and if you drive like a pensioner has daftly good petrol consumption :o)*. emissions and compression figures are still well within factory specs 18 years later.
I've always been obsessive with changing the oil regularly on any car I've owned. Every 3-4000 K level of obsession. :) That makes a really big difference IMH. Oh and before I had the R, I ran a JDM SiR for a year or so and I bought that when it had 120 K's on the clock, I sold it on to a mate who brought it up to 200,000+ K's. The only problem he had was the radiator sprung a leak(different rad to an R), a propshaft seal went bad and a relay died. That car is still going out there somewhere and last I heard it was approaching 300,000K.
In short they're pretty bloody bulletproof SFS. That said and IMHO look for as original factory spec as possible. Less chance it's been hammered by some cross-eyed eejit. Now there are guys and gals out there who know their stuff and custom them up properly and if you find one like that then great, but there's a reason why the classic car types look for originality.
*I'm looking down the barrel of 50 years of age, so genetically I'm driven to mention that and sometimes I drive like a pensioner, but not that often… I believe the kidz(™) say "Yo, VTEC kicked in", for me it's more like "Yo, Midlife crisis kicked in" and I say there's nada wrong with that. Though by typing that I reckon I've just put off anyone under 30 from buying one. :D

bro.... I'm at 270,000 miles same engine same car running strong as ever, and I used to race the sh*t out of it in my high-school days... those engines practically never die, easy fix and sound amazing. When the money is right I will overhaul and set it up for boost. good luck!
