Historically Izzo gets to final 4s with 4 star recruits, it’s actually incredibly rare that he lands 5 star recruits. If MSU gets Ward and Scott that would be a good recruiting cycle for MSU. If they get Dwayne Aristode then it is an amazing recruiting cycle. Best case scenario for next year for MSU next year is. 1. Fears 2. Richardson 3. Aristode 4. Booker 5. Top 5 transfer center from the portal With tang, carr, holloman off the bench
I doubt Mgbako is back next year but I do think that Reneau, Tucker, Carlyle, and Rice return alongside a choice transfer or two, Sisley and Reibe. Mullins would still be a game-changing addition but I think the foundation is pretty sound looking ahead to next year IF we retain the right players
Remember mercenaries can also decide to leave IU if the season isn’t as successful or someone is willing to pay them more. It’s not a given everyone will stay just because it’s IU.
Indiana can basically write any amount on a check and has immense regional influence, has gotten multiple Montverde commits the last several years and has a good southern recruiter as well.
You do realize that Kansas has only been consistently great for a relative minute, figuratively speaking? In my lifetime, the days of Kansas actually producing blue blood results is a recent phenomenon, and most of their success prior to Self was 2nd tier in results, iirc- some 2nd weekends here and there, but they weren't a perennial contender. I can only assume you're referring to recent results, which is why I reference Self. 20 years of very good play doesn't make a school a blue blood, imo; it's their overall history, down periods aside. Imo, that's what makes Kansas a blue blood; Kentucky is the same. My point? I'm not a Hoosier fan, but they were once the toast of college basketball; they've won multiple championships, and unless I'm mistaken, have the last undefeated season. They may not have current elite results, but they are a blue blood, and have been for decades.
@elijaheasterday9373 I'm not a big fan of everything NIL, but to its credit, it very much levels the playing field, and doesn't allow the old days of the blue bloods hoarding all the best players.
Any kid demanding X number of dollars isn't coming to play for Msu/Izzo ..... that's a fact and I can't imagine a faster way of destroying the culture of your program than giving some unproven frosh a much bigger bag than your top players on your current roster.
Yeah I agree with you. But all things considered that’s probably a death knell for Izzo’s 2nd title hopes. Izzo could wait it out until the current upper class men leave but Izzo probably won’t be coaching for much longer either
McKenzie will probably go pro man, do better I’m tired of correcting you every video you say your an IU fan but don’t know Eric Rebe or how to pronounce his name
A one and done Haralson pg dominant led Notre Dame smells like NIT at best. He’s not Penny Hardaway..he’s not efficient or great shooter. Doesn’t really excel at anything especially court vision. It can get him drafted but that’s it.
@@Kenjayfan55 He’s talented but personally I don’t think most one and done players are good investments unless you already have a really good team. Notre Dame is not that.
I’m just gonna say it.. MSU was better last year and will be better next year.. MAYBE Indiana is better this year cause of Ballo but wouldn’t shock me if MSU is better this year
I'd take that bet... Hoosiers beat the Spartans last yr,,, we are gonna have a better record this upcoming year with Ballo,,, and we are gonna be better next year with Senior Reneau, Junior Rice and Carlyle, and Sophomore Bryson Tucker

I've said on other blogs, the IU coaching staff is not attractive to these recruits.

Greg disses Paint for 22 minutes the other day and in this thread turns around and unwittingly makes all of Paint’s arguments!
