This is how to make a watermark, like the ones you see in money when you hold it up to a light. This was at the Postage and Currency Museum in Tokyo, Japan.
Whats happening here is- Theyre picking the design that will show through in the finalized product first (design like this can be made by for example putting plastic letters on to a "paper screen" or sewing wire onto a screen). they place it on the bottom of that wood frame,( which has some glass resistance slides on the back in their model to hold the paper) then theyre dipping it into what is probably a paper fiber suspension(which is probably why they are dipping it in an angle like that(to collect the fibers onto the screen). This fiber suspension is probably made by blending up some type of material, could be wood, cotton, other papers, anything. Then they press the newly created paper from the screen on to another sheet of paper that is sandwiched between two plexi glas sheets, press out some of the water by hand, then put it into the machine you see which is basically a big hot flat iron to dry it out quickly. (so the tourists get their paper real quick like :-) and thats it.
Nice, but this should be titled, "Watching people make paper with a watermark" as it doesn't give any instruction or information as to how the watermark is formed or at what point in the process the watermark is even being created. Nice overview, I suppose, but not very useful in reality. Thanks.
I wish to know how to make simulated wartermark............ one I can print on, or otherwise apply after the paper is made. I am intrested in the Aegis Watermark system but cant find much info on it. Anyone got any info please?
we supply perfectly reproduced fake/counterfeit money such as dollars, pounds and euro with holograms and all security features available. Indistinguishable to the eye and to touch
To all those asking for more information on this process, I'd recommend contacting the above mentioned museum or something similar in your area. I honestly was not overly interested in the process, and as such, just shot the video and uploaded it. I'll not be changing the title, as it does show everything that went into it. And honestly, your guess is as good as mine when it comes to what's in the water. Thanks for your interest, but that's all I have to say on the subject.
Should be titled "Making a watermark" instead of "HOW TO"...! Have no idea what is going on - type of paper, chemicals, etc. But they are beautiful
