2024 Heisman in a nutshell = Best stats and team success vs Most snaps, popularity, and "doing something we've never seen before" narrative. Who will prevail?
honestly I think jeanty because of the switch thing because i feel like hunter would not do what jeanty did against Oregon but jeanty could do what hunter did against his weaker conference . i know a lot of people say that jeanty is in a weaker division but overall jeanty this year has had more comp this year due to schedule. also you can say hunter has sanders as well who is one of if not the best qb in CFB so you can say hunter is good because of a good qb I really don't think hunter can do it with Boise states Qb
Well obviously it'd be different if he played Oregon cuz hes a WR not a RB who gets it every snap but I agree with you It was hard deciding this I just went with my gut
@@RandomZRecap yeah honestly I'm a BSU fan so that's why I'm going jeanty because what he has done for the school but even I can agree this is the hardest Heisman race in a while before jeanty entered the chat I was pretty set on Travis but then saw the stats and what jeanty is doing and I feel like even if you like other schools you got to admit we will really never see a run like jeanty for another while I mean even the last person to even get near the record has not been since like 2005 so the fact he got to 4th place and is now in the playoffs to possible break Barry sanders is something else man
@@RandomZRecap i also feel like this is so close because jeanty overall has better stats but hunter has more highlights plays but i feel like its not about being flashy its about being officiant thats why he is heisman
Something to remember, Travis also has a top 5 NFL draft qb (and was already a heisman hopeful earlier in the season) helping him on offense too. Personally I’d go with Jeanty, Jeanty is 1st in practically every rushing stat and it’s not even close (he also sat out for a total of 8 quarters this season if he hadn’t he would have crushed every record), hunter won the best wide receiver award and didn’t even lead in any stat line even though nick nash I believe from San Jose state led the nation in most every stat line from WR which is why I think hunter will likely win just because of the popularity contest.
I humbly disagree with the choice of Travis here and that’s largely bc we keep hearing hes generational but, he simply hasn’t done anything generational on either side. Even if you argue well, they don’t Throw his way, okay but why does he lead in any Wr stat besides receptions? Looking at MHJ, Odunze, Nabers just from a year ago and there all miles better at Wr. For the Heisman I just don’t see how we can ignore stats, winning/meaningful football, and an actual all time record breaking season…
He has tho- he’s the only FBS player in history to record a single-season with 1,000+ receiving yards 10+ TD & 3+ Interceptions (at CB). He set Colorado single-season records for rec yards rec TD & INT. He is one of a kind by his grades as well being a 90.9 Coverage & 88.3 WR grade. That’s elite on both sides, nobody has done what he has been doing. So, he is generational. Oh, and for Jeanty’s “record breaking season” he’ll play 2 more games than Barry and including bowl games, still be under Barry in rush yards, rush TD, total TD, all-purpose yards Rush YPG & YPC.
Jeanty is doing what college rbs have and will do, be dominant. hunter is doing what many have tried but few have succeeded doing. Jeanty impacts “half” the game….. im sure i can stop there, think basketball who has better value, a straight bucket no def at all or a legit two way contributor
I must say though if Travis is really doing “something we have never seen before” then why has there been a better player at both of his positions literally every year of college football, I get he plays both side and that has some merit to it, but Jeanty has literally sat out for a combined total of 2 games because he helped Boise absolutely crush their competition. If he had stayed in he would have crushed practically every rushing record stat Jeanty is something “we have never seen before”
@ Jeanty isn’t playing LB or DL as impressive as records “seem” it’s just numbers.. this is an eye test on impact and playmaking… Jeanty is amazing but to impact the game 2 ways at a high level is more unheard of then shattering rushing records… and to say hunter hasn’t done it at a high level says a lot about someone’s football iq… everything has to be in place for Jeanty to succeed.. hunter can be the architect of success (on either side)
Wouldn't hate a co-heisman situation tbh

Jeanty should win it, but i get the vibe that he's one of those players that's a god in college but just decent in the league.
Agreed , its a 50/50 honestly

Oh yeah thats fair , I respect it I think hunter wins by like inches it was extremely hard to pick someone Jeanty wouldn't shock me though if he did
@@RandomZRecap yeah honestly i cant get mad at anyone for either one

Yeah the best WR award I agree Hunter shouldn't have won

Thats fair , I completely understand where your coming from. As I said, a ton of people would probably disagree, so its all good ❤️💯

All I’m going to say is Boise state is not a playoff team if hunter and jeanty swap teams
Of course not
bro travis did not deserve the biletnikoff but i think e will get the heisman
Ok yeah that one was strange cuz statistically hes not the best WR that one shouldn't have been his
