    The changes I'd made for DK:
    *Neutral Attack:* Jungle Rush is now an infinite jab. It's a flurry of punches just like Bowser Jr's Neutral Attack.
    *Forward Smash:* DK makes a double axe handle (similar to his level start animation from Tropical Freeze).
    *Side B:* Throws barrels. The barrels will roll until crash against an opponent or another obstacle. Barrels will be empty often, but some of them contain bananas (if the barrel breaks, the bananas will pop out and anyone can eat them) and another will be TNT barrels (these barrels will...duh, explode, dealing more damage and knockback)
    *Up B:* A Barrel Cannon, I don't need to say more.
    *Down Throw:* If you're gonna miss to burying opponents with Headbutt, his Down Throw will bury the opponents now.
    *Final Smash:* Konga Beat is back, but shortened. It lasts 10 seconds instead of 15.
    Some aesthetics:
    -I'd give him his current voice instead of those realistic gorilla noises.
    -Show him happier when he beats his chest (for his Up Taunt and one of his victory amimations).

      If the side special was throwing barrels then I’d change the down special to be DK jumping up and down and making the girders and ladders from DK Arcade fall down and attack enemies (like one of his attacks from Skylanders)

    I liked how his boxing music foreshadowed some references from his Punch Out appearance. I find it interesting how DK's dash attack before the roll was so close to being that Donkey Kong 64 double kick, but instead they settled for something with less momentum and implied power behind it. Good show, pal. DK's one of my mains and I'd certainly be onboard with these changes! 🎉

      Oh yeah, DK's old dash attack kick was a pretty odd choice, I'm not quite sure why they opted for that at the time rather than his signature roll or kick from DK64. Glad you liked the concept!

      @@Fobb DK64 was still in development when Super Smash Bros released, so I imagine that's why his dash attack wasn' ]t the DK64 double kick (though maybe there was some communication between the development teams because it was similar).
      Totally beats me why they never used his roll though until over a decade later though. That's been his most iconic attack since DKC released, which is his most iconic game (outside of the original DK game which is technically his grandfather's game anyway). And it still annoys me that you can't roll off-stage and jump out of it to do some nasty edge-guarding.

    Personally, the only important thing that I would change would be his Side Special. It's fun to use but I think it would be better occupied by his Coconut Gun (similar to Banjo with Kazooie, being able to move while shooting), since Rambi and the other animal friends would appear in his Final Smash. And obviously his recovery would be the barrel.

      Having the animal friends as a final smash is a neat idea, I can imagine it functioning similarly to Yoshi's where they all stampede the opponents.

    This series is great, and thank you for doing other characters before getting the obvious low-hanging fruit that is Ganondorf.
    I think you should do Samus; apparently, she's become one of the biggest "faithful to canon" crowd whipping subjects on par with Ganondorf nowadays thanks to her getting so many new moves from Samus Returns and Dread.

      Thanks, glad you enjoyed the videos! It's been hard to resist the temptation to make a video on Ganondorf (although I probably will end up doing it at some point) since he's practically begging for a re-design haha
      Samus would be really cool, albeit a little tricky for me since I've never really been too into Metroid. Thanks for your input!

    An idea that I have for Donkey Kong's moveset is that for his barrel attack as his down special, there can be a chance of him throwing a blue barrel that has a fire effect that functions like Richter's down special. This can be a reference to the first Donkey Kong game where if the oil drum is hit by a blue barrel, then it will be set alight and produce fireball.
    Also, for his win animation, the DK rap can play in the background as Donkey Kong is seen with the members of the DK crew to reference the rap at the beginning of Donkey Kong 64.

    First of all, let me say that I LOVE that you've the balls to throw out so much of the character's original moveset, the big annoying thing about other concepts like this is people are so goddamn precious about Smash's "legacy", look I love the games, but it owes way more to the series than giving Ganondorf a falcon kick.
    The Up-B is absolutely perfect imo, even down to it working like Fox' Up-B. It's pretty sad that he still doesn't have this.
    As for the coconut gun, I personally would prefer he'd have one projectile, so either the barrel or gun. I've heard people suggest both these moves, though, so maybe I'm in the minority. I think making the gun faithful to the N64 version would turn him into a roided out megaman, so I'd prefer it work how it was mostly used in DK64 trough standing still, and it'd be cool if it worked like a grenade launcher.
    You also made a compelling case for moving the hand slap to down-smash, that move is iconic to DK and Smash, so it wouldn't be the same without it. But I would've just made it more useful, like in the Returns series. Speaking of which, more representation for those games would be cool as well. Good idea adding some of his punch-out appearance too.
    Hope you do more of these, as I said, I like the more extreme changes, and the editing's top-notch.

      Thank you, glad you liked the changes! Haha, Ganondorf's smash moveset is so frustrating - Melee I can understand, but I wish they'd given him an overhaul in Brawl (at least give him Dead Man's Volley!)
      I definitely considered limiting DK to only one projectile, since I didn't want to make him feel too campy. Ultimately I decided to roll with it, since I was mostly drawing a blank for his down special, although that's probably down to my lack of experience with the Country games.
      I have a few other similar videos on the channel (redesigns for Young Link, Toon Link and Mario), but there'll be more to come in future!

    I was thinking for DK's final smash that he would do a rebranded version of Jungle Rush but it resembles more of the final blows he does on bosses in his newer games. (Returns and Tropical Freeze.)

    I like to think DK's final smash is actually based on DKC returns and tropical freeze whenever you beat a boss and pummel the boss to death, and since I love those games, I'd personally be fine with his final smash staying the way it is. As for his specials, I'd personally prefer Squawks for his Up B and a barrel toss for his Side B, but thats just me

    Not bad. My idea for a Final Smash though would be his special from Mario Tennis 🎾 where he hits the ground and a barrel lands behind him and he jumps backwards into the barrel and blasts forward; hitting all opponents on the screen within his blast radius; unless the player jumps. What do you think?🤔

    I've thought about Donkey having his coconut gun or throwing barrels in Smash. It would certainly give him more utility. But honestly, I don't want him to have a projectile move.
    Firstly, I never liked the coconut gun anyway. I always thought it was a weird thing for him to have. A gun feels much more at home with Diddy.
    Secondly, we've gotta have at least one super-heavy fighter with no projectile. I really enjoy Donkey having to approach and brawl everyone up close (but also with some range because his arms are so big). The DKC games involve so much fast forward momentum that I think it really suits him to charge straight into the enemy and smash 'em. Besides, if you wanna see him throwing barrels, put items on.
    I would simply replace his headbutting side special (which I've always disliked for being uninspired and starting the trend of burying moves) with his Spinning Kong move, which now isn't a vertical recovery move in the air but instead looks more like the grounded version and/or nair when used in the air. Still good horizontal recovery and multi-hit damage-racking capabilities, but for vertical recover he now has a new up special in the form of a barrel cannon. It makes a lot of sense seeing as barrel cannons, at this point, are as ubiquitous to DK as normal barrels are. With these changes, nair is pretty redundant so maybe it should be replaced by his midair clap from DK Jungle Beat.
    The dude really needs better taunts though, I agree. His dance from the beginning of DKC or any of his two victory dances from the same game would be great.

    With the boxing glove forward smash, i think it'd be a good idea to recycle the old neutral b and make it a gimmick where it essentially acts the same as it was; fully charge it, and u can store the charge for later on. DK would also have his angry expression from ultimate at full charge, but he would also don his boxing gloves as well. Only difference is that you can't cancel the animation with shield anymore, nor use it aerially as it is a smash attack now.

      That's a cool idea, being able to hold the charge of a smash attack would make this DK even more distinct from the rest of the cast!

    make a video redesigning samus' moveset to have more moves and some abilities based off metroid dread like adding the dash melee as samus' forward smash and the metroid suit and hyper beam as samus' final smash. maybe even talk about a moveset idea for raven beak as well borrowing some moves from samus but also having his own moves too.

      I'd love to try my hand at a Samus moveset one day, quite a lot of people have requested it! Personally though, I've barely played any Metroid games so I feel like I need to do that first to truly do Samus justice.

      @@Fobb here are a few ideas samus' forward smash would be her dash counter samus would leap forward and perform an uppercut with her arm cannon, for samus' down smash make it the cross bomb a bomb that explodes in 4 directions. samus' side special should also have the ability to use the storm missile by holding b samus would stand in place as a orange led appears in this mode samus could fire storm missiles by aiming at an opponent or object. for samus' final smash have her transform into the metroid suit where she would fire the hyper beam this would still be the same as samus' current final smash but samus' suit would transform into the metroid suit first and then fire the hyper beam.

      Zero Suit Samus is Already fine as she is in ultimate but maybe change her dash attack to a slide that cancels into kick attack if any button is pressed during the slide move this move is based off zero suit samus slide from Metroid other m & uses samus’s slide attack properties From metroid dread where she can cancel the slide into a kick attack, zero suit samus can also use her jet boots to glide across the stage which would be good for aerial combos & zero suit samus’ final smash would have zero suit samus put on her fully powered suit & command her ship to fire ship missiles across the stage during the final smash samus would have Hyper Beam. This Final Smash would reference both Super Metroid & Metroid Prime 3.

      Some other ideas for samus’ moveset could be an ability to swap beams by holding shield & toggling with The Right Analog to switch between power beam, wave beam, ice beam & plasma beam, a new idea i had was to add aeion abilities from metroid samus returns & metroid dread, the aeion abilities would activate by facing opponents & taking damage similarly to little mac’s k.o punch. The aeion abilities are activated once the gauge is filled & any special move is pressed the Neutral special would be changed to beam burst from metroid samus returns a powerful beam that is short ranged but very powerful, side special is changed to flash shift
      From metroid dread a move where samus can travel a set distance from
      Left or right in the ground or in the air in an instant this move can be done up to three times, down special would be phase drift a move that slows
      Down time this move is similar to the first half of bayonetta’s final
      Smash the aeion gauge drains faster when phase drift is activated & up
      Special would be replaced with electric armor which surrounds samus with emerald green energy while in this state samus’ moves are stronger.

    The moveset's good but I don't see the point of using a completely different character's move for that character instead of giving that move to the character that actually used the move in the games and can use it in smash. Side Special for example
