- Downtown Guayaquil Ecuador City Tourist Zone area tour guide. On my first time in Guayaquil Ecuador, I tour La Bahia el Centro downtown streets to learn more about Ecuadorian food, the way of life, and the cost of living in this Ecuadorian City and ended up walking into a Guayaquil Tourist Area
Guayaquil is a port city in Ecuador, known as a gateway to Pacific beaches and the Galapagos Islands. Stretching along the Guayas River is the waterfront Simón Bolívar promenade, home to La Rotonda monument. In the north, Las Peñas is a neighborhood full of colorful houses. Stairs lined with cafes and art galleries lead up Santa Ana Hill, the site of Santa Ana chapel, a lighthouse, and views of the city. - Wiki

I used to give out money to kids all the time and I learned it was not helping them at all it was actually encouraging the behavior. Was I hard on the kids absolutely I'm not here to be Santa Claus with them if they want to be working in the street I'm going to be hard on them every time. I used to be different but I learned being nice it's not how people learn. I know it's going to hurt but what's going to hurt more is years later you going to see the same kids on the street still begging but this time they're teenagers because they learned that they can make money on the street by begging and the parents use them so they miss their childhood. A lot of these kids don't even go to school because they are now just making money for their family it's a cold world but I choose not to be part of that engine that encouraged them to be on the street missing their childhood. in order to make it stop you can't encourage it.

We cannot change the world, but we can help those who need it most. It is not okay to criticize them for their condition, since in Latin America, due to their political corruption, most people cannot get a decent job, there are no opportunities for everyone .
nobody is criticizing them I'm not here to judge anyone i have privilege to see people from all different walks of life and it has humbled me and if you watch any of my videos you know that I have no problem helping people but giving money to children on the streets is not the option.

You are spot on with that video length decision Ace. I work in distance learning at the university level. There is a lot of psychology in developing learning content. Millinials have a short attention span! 15-30 minutes is great for TH-cam. In education, videos are even shorter! Keep up the great work.

That park is called “Parque Centenario” Centennial Park. Padres de la patria (Fathers of the Nation)

Ace: The name of the park is Plaza del Centenario and the column in the center was built in 1920 and commemorates Guayaquil’s 100th anniversary of its independence from Spanish rule which occurred on October 9, 1820. This is also the name of the main street in downtown Guayaquil (9 de Octubre). Yes, in Ecuador as in the rest of Latin America streets are named after important historical dates.If you walk several blocks towards the east from the park, you will be at the Malecón. If you walk a few blocks west from the park along 9 de Octubre, you will be at the Estero Salado, which is a salt water estuary and is also a very interesting area. Hope that you continue to enjoy your visit to this vibrant city.

Independence of Guayaquil Oct 9 1820. Street here in Riobamba named that as well. You mentioned you may come to Riobamba. Very different culture here. Many indigenous. People here are more shy and reserved. Its a farming community. I love it here. It's a small city.

Hey Ace its called "Parque Centenario" wich means Century Park and that column in the middle is called "La Columna de los Próceres" it means something like the column of the highness or something like it, its a statue or monument to immortalize the historic battle of October 9th 1820 " Guayaquil independence pretty much". and padres de la patria means the founding fathers or fathers of the homeland

In regards to the statue in the park represents liberty . Also those are the founding Fathers of the Guayaquil Republic . In 1820 those founding fathers proclaimed independence from Spain . First was Guayaquil became independent then the rest of the country.
