I just installed a new passenger side mirror on my daughter's 2015 Honda Fit this morning. It went very well, except I dropped one of the nuts inside the door. One quick trip to the hardware store later, the job was done. Thanks for your video. (02/18/23)
Thank you so much for the video. It helped find the screw behind the window control panel. Here's something I did for for my mirror replacement: Attached twine onto to the wiring harness upon removal which was then used to guide the new wiring harness through the door panel. That black gooey stuff is horrible, as I picked up a bit of it here and there upon removal and installation. Brake cleaner worked very nicely to clean everything off. I ordered my mirror through Partify, my first experience with this vendor. Excellent paint job and very professionally packaged and even double boxed before shipping to me.
I'm glad to hear it helped! Thanks for your feed back and of course thanks for watching! That black goo is the devil but like you said, break clean works great. Also tub o towels works pretty well too.
@@fastlanecarcarellc3608 It's a known problem as well as the spare wheel well gets flooded. Seams on tailgate crack. To be honest the plastic aprons on my 2006 look way better than your 2015. The black goo on lower end broke down. Used clear silicone to reseal it. The black goo is awful used wd40
Sure did. She needed something reliable, I wanted an suv. Everyone got a good deal. I'm hoping she wants to sell it soon because I'd like to buy it back. But she says she's going to drive it until the wheels fall off. Lol
Got three doors leaking on my Fit. It has been the most unreliable car ever. Even the engine has had 3 major issues. The interior quality is very bad as well. Youd think being a Honda it would mean something. My parents talk all the time about a 90s Civic they had. I would say it because its made in Mexico because looking deeper the craftsmanship is bad. But when I look up issues its clear its just Honda being horrible at quality control. Lots of issues even on the Fits made in Japan from previous generations. Cant wait to go back to Toyota.
@baronvonjo1929 I agree. Honda build quality has suffered in the last 10 years or so. Toyota is my favorite as well. Sorry to hear you're having so many issues, this fit has been very reliable. Guess we just got a good one.
@fastlanecarcarellc3608 Ive tried gaslighted myself into liking the car but it feels like it's doing everything it can to insult me. On paper and theory it's pretty neat car. But the lack of quality control just makes it such a major eh. I assume that's one reason cheap cars have left the US. Every other competitor I sat in over the years had tons of quality issues as well. Dont build good cars and people will leave. Mutiple mechanics and dealers have told me the Fit was the worse car Honda ever made and I'm incline to agree.

Very kind of you.
Do they still get water in the rear door floorpans? I just took door panels off my 2006 model. The poppers were a nightmare
This one has never had that issue. Not sure if that's a typical problem or not. And yeah being an 06, the plastic is usually nice and crunchy lol

One of my window switch is damaged, so could you please make one that demonstrates how to switch one of the rear buttons with one of the front
I'm not sure if you can do that or not.
Ok, thanks anyway.
