Many people stuff tools or even speaker wire into the seals and then cut the tint short or fight trying to get the film in, causing handling marks, creases, and contamination. You can choose to tint these either way, but for me, I'll pull these out every time.

A lot of haters in the comments but I appreciate this video , Got a Camry coming in this weekend for a full tint job , Was worried about the quart glass & the rear , but thanks to your videos on them , I’m more confident now 😎
@jaredmontoya6254 I don't let them bother me lol and I'm glad the video helped! Thanks for watching! Let us know how your job goes.
My tint guy is on my driveway working on my fusion right now.. and he didnt want to mess with the mirror or break anything. so I just followed your instructions and i have a body pin puller tool. and just like you said. you will feel it pass the nubs, then the rest is easy. Thanks!
@@SammyChon that's awesome! I'm glad you got it!
Was it good to close and open the doors right after you were finished with the torch? I'm worried that if I get mine tinted that because of the frameless up and down movement of the windows that some of the film will get messed up at the bottom or the top. Thanks
@Clarkeisawesome that's why I used the torch, to make the tint stick faster. Take it to a professional shop and you shouldn't have any problems with that. Thanks for watching!
@@fastlanecarcarellc3608 Thank you!
@@Clarkeisawesome no problem! Have a great day
Make it look so effortless, Idk why but I fight reverse rolling every single time lol always end up with more contamination reverse rolling then just Frankensteining the damn thing😅
@glennturner2703 I'm guessing it's because that's how I learned lol I've seen franky done successfully in person but I just feel like I'd drag the tint across everything trying to get it in the car. 😅🤣
Good videos broooo
Torch that...mini torch on sides eazy money cleaner too....
What’s the orange thing on the tip and what does it do?
@thewongster99 fusion after burn tape, sundistributingdirect.com it keeps you from burning yourself or others with the tip since it gets so hot. With the tape, it will still get hot but it's much safer. Highly recommend, I put it on every heat gun before it even gets plugged in.
I’ve learned so much from your channel as a beginner window tinter. Thank you! I would be curious tho how you hand-cut the back window with that spoiler being in your way.
@Ryanr2789 best way to do it is either use a sharpie and trace the highest up defrost line then slide your film up, repeat as necessary. Or if you have a big enough scrap piece of clear liner, you can stick it on the inside and use a sharpie to trace out your pattern, then place that on your new tint and cut it. Times like these are why I love having a plotter.
@@fastlanecarcarellc3608 Thank you! Do you use Helios orbit that often?
@Ryanr2789 I don't use orbit at all anymore, it used to be my biggest seller. All I sell is carbon (nova) and ceramic (super nova) these days.
@@fastlanecarcarellc3608 seems like dyed film is a thing of the past.
@Ryanr2789 it got to be basically the same price as the carbon and I couldn't justify charging carbon prices for a product that just looks good when you can get a carbon based film that blocks more heat and can't fade. My 4runner has orbit on it from 2019 and sits outside all day everyday and has yet to fade but not all dyed films are created equal.
Is it generally easier to tint a sedan or a hatchbach?
@DY-Hak1 just depends on how well you can heat shrink. Normally a hatchback has more aggressive curves to the back window but at least you don't have to squeeze yourself in a back seat and try to get the film in without touching anything lol.
@@fastlanecarcarellc3608 I agree!
I have a 2020 Rav4 and I tinted the windshield & the sides tinted...but the back glass kept giving me so many problems...thanks for this video!!
@kennyb.729 thank you for watching. I think heat shrinking back windows and windshields was the toughest part of learning to tint for me. Practice practice practice lol.
@fastlanecarcarellc3608 Yeah I've been tinting for a few years... Only my cars, or friends and family!! Lexen tint can be challenging on certain cars too but I'm pretty good for a novice!! Thanks for the tips!!
How odd, the first time I did one of these I was surprised on how easy it was. I did 3-4 more that same month and I was so pleased that I could get that rear window done in like 25 mins
@diegol1208 I don't think these ones are too difficult to shrink but I know a lot of newer tinters tend to struggle with hatchbacks.

Can you share more info on that iso mix you used to clean? Do you only use that for cleaning the exterior? I was fighting with a hydrophobic coating that kicked my ass on another car. I believe you recommended Monkey something in the past but I can't seem to find it anywhere.
@seriousproductionz1 sundistributingdirect.com search "rewind 2 raw" you'll find it. The iso mix is just some super heavy duty alcohol that I cut down with at least 50% water and only use it on the outside glass. You can use regular old rubbing alcohol from the pharmacy or Walmart or whatever just the same. It produces a really nice streak free finish.

@MATAMOROS3000 just depends on the vehicle and how you distribute the film. It's not a bad idea to shrink the bottom though good for good measure.

Can I ask you what CRM are you using?

Ik it’s been a while since this was posted but how do you undo the latch when you trick it to move the window upwards
I think you just open the handle to basically say that the door it now open
@@starrun13 so I did some thing and I felt kind of dumb I’ve had my challenger for two years and this has happened on its own… you just roll it down
Some cars you have to pull the handle and then use something to flip the latch back. I can't remember if this is one of those or not. Though I'm sure you figured it out by now.
Do you hand cut everything or do you typically use a plotter?
@skouria3135 for over 7 years I hand cut everything. A couple of months ago, I bought a plotter and now I only hand cut when I have to.
@skouria3135 for example, the software didn't have this particular windshield for this particular model, so I had to hand cut the windshield, but I plotted out the doors.
@@fastlanecarcarellc3608 I only ask because I’ve been hand cutting for roughly 2 years now. And I’ve been wanting to get a plotter but I just don’t know if it’s worth it. I’ve had a buddy of mine plot me patterns when I do some mobile work just for the ease, and I can knock out a f-150 in 30 minutes. So it would definitely save me time I just, idk I’m on the fence about getting one lol
@skouria3135 In most cases, I can hand cut faster than the plotter, especially when you factor the time to load the tint, find the patterns, cut them, weed them, etc. However! Where I feel like it's worth having is because I can set it to cut, then go do something else like pull the sweeps or clean the glass or whatever else I need to do. Plus doing vehicles with those vent shades can be tricky when you hand cut so plotting those makes it way easier. Trucks with bed covers or headache racks, etc, same deal. Way easier to just click cut and be done rather than trying to trace a liner on the inside or whatever. If you have the money, definitely get one, you'll thank me later. Lol
@@fastlanecarcarellc3608 well, I know the plotter is new to you but at this point which do you prefer?
I have the evolve window tint. Greatly reduces the heat.
@ColeyJack8590 Absolutely! Is evolve carbon or ceramic?

This video is a joke!! 5 step to know before starting your tint business?! Should be titled 5 steps to discourage an entrepreneur. No real info on actual steps just bashing and telling diy guys it cost $300 to tint their personal vehicles. 😂 what a joke!!!!!
@eliterrell9532 I'm sorry you feel that way. The unfortunate truth from being active in multiple window tint groups on social media is that most people start out thinking they are going to save money by doing it themselves. I'm not bashing anyone, or trying to discourage them. Quite the opposite. If you want to be successful, you need to have a plan.
Its funny because a person can save money doing it diy. Easily under the price point you have set. Less than $100 buying all supplies from walmart with a decent tint job understanding price saving comes with a bit of sacrifice in tint/install quality. As far as a person starting a tint business, it all stems from the same feelings of lack of customer service, or lack or availability to get a service in a timely manner. Maybe not all your content is this bad but a person can definitely tint the windows on their own vehicle cheaper with good results. Recently bought a precut tint from ebay for less than $50. With a sprayer and a few small hand tools that i had laying around and my windows turned out great. Tools of the trade are to make our jobs easier we invest in them because we do this day in and day out, a diy one job does not need to invest 300 plus just to tint their own windows
Thanks for the tip of popping those metal clips with the plastic wedges. On some GM the metal clips pop from the door panel easy, but others feel like I'm gonna break the door panel. I started pressing the top of the clip like you show and it works so well!
Absolutely! That's why I started doing it this way lol. I know they can be done by just pulling but I would rather take a couple extra seconds and make sure I don't break anything.

Bottom loading has become my favorite technique, preventing also no dirt to get inside the fim, 2 stages at a point it became not easy depending on the type of car, some where not comfortable to tucked the fim in the bottom because of lack of space. But there’s nothing wrong if anybody doesn’t like it, just make sure is clean 😂😂😂

Hahaha I love how you calmly pick apart all the trolls. To me the only way to get close to perfection is disassembly (and pulling glass when it calls for it). My method for laying the film is a bit different, but what I was always told was only have one door apart at a time, that way you can refer to the other side to make sure it’s put back together correctly. Regardless great video/commentary, I couldn’t find anything else on here for this topic. Happy tinting 🫡
@docneato I've been doing this since 2018, both TH-cam and window tint... It's not my first rodeo, lol. I've seen so many bad tint jobs, I know how these windows turn out when you don't pull them. Having only one door apart at a time is a very good strategy, and that is also what I do on cars I'm not as familiar with.
