Lots of people think ANC is a must but not for Audiophile group. I agree that any ANC does affect the sound nature as it process too much , in sound field & make unnatural , weaken the dynamic of sound . If anyone try the Noble prestige wireless earbug (no ANC),the sound is so good & natural . Need no equalizer. I think Edifier is going the right path , as the HIFi man
just looked all over your twitter, I did not see the FR graphs for the stax spirit s5's anywhere, could you you link the raw data anywhere? Ive really been looking to EQ them!
Thanks for the comparison, Aaron. From your audio samples the soundstage of the S5 is wide and sounds airy. Played it straight side by side with an audio sample from the Airpods Max made the vocals come forward abruptly and sounded narrower in terms of soundstage.
Great review! If you can please do a review on the Audeze Maxwell, I'm really on the fence between it and the Sony XM5, but think going with the maxwell because of the wifi receiver for gaming and it looks like it has pretty amazing sound quality as well for listening to music.
I have the S3's. These should be even a bit better. The S3's are much much better sounding then the momentum 4s. Its not even close. However, they are lacking in bass out of the box. Which is stupid, because they respond to EQ very good. You just have to do it with a third party app.
I find it funny EVERYONE is looking into this headphone purely cause no ANC and good quality whilst wireless. Crazy that doesnt exist in brands I've heard of lol
Aaron, I REALLY DO need raw frequency response graph of these headphones. I also want to compare the graph with harman 2018 oe target... If joning the memnership makes that possible, I'll join.
@@aaronloudnwireless Hi mate according to your opinion what is the best sound quality wireless headphone right now? Can't really decide between Bose Ultra / Sony XM5 or Momentum 4, thanks

Frankly, the price is exaggerated. If I am looking for sound quality, I can buy open-back headphones, DAC AMP, and wireless headphones for the same price.
@@waichungsham1578 This has nothing to do with the size or type of the driver. If it is not adjusted, the DD driver will be better. However, you can buy the same set with the Magnetic Planner headphone.
Except the company treats their customers like trash. They never respond back so good luck if you ever issues. As for sound, these lacked bass A LOT. The trebles are far too harsh but I do like how they do not have a treble roll off. These do capture the most amount of detail than any wireless headphone I’ve tested but their tuning is still far from perfect. Also, with no transparency or ANC, these are not worth the price. The headband is garbage. Barely any padding and I could always feel the metal edges digging into my head. All in all, I’d rather sacrifice a little bit of sound quality for a more balanced tuning, better build quality, and more features.
I just found that STAX SPIRIT S10 was released recently in TWS. Can’t wait to watch your review!
I love it that they do not have ANC!

Hi, when can we expect the detailed review on Samsung buds 3 pro?. Am eagerly waiting for your test and feedback 😐
These headphones remind me of the PANDA headphones of Masdrop lunched a few years ago.
Swift! Thank you Aaron ❤
@@Icecold_Art no problem
Aaron, great video as usual. You may want to look at the audeze maxwell. It is a well tuned planar magnetic wireless headphones.

One month later, the Stax S5 is still not in the sound database for comparison. 😉
Just added it. 👍🏻
@@aaronloudnwireless Great news. Thanks. 👌
When you're deaf as a post NC is a must.
The sound signature reminds me of the CA Melomania You 'recently reviewed, clean, tight, punchy, audiophile grade.
It certainly shares that signature. 👍🏻

Yes the soundstaging is wider
What kind of graph model do you use for your tests? What equipment do you use to capture these graphs from your headphones?
What rig do you use to measure the headphones? I hope it's not minidsp EARS.

Aaron, are the S5 louder than the S3? The 3 was not loud enough for me. Thanks
I'm looking for something to use for Home use for watching movies, is this a good buy with a aptx transmitter?
In your opinion, do they sound better than the momentum 4s and do they have a wider and taller soundstage?

@@ryanirishmonkey2383 I am on Android and use Wavelet. It's excellent.
In sound quality terms, how do these compare to the FiiO F5?
Audeze needs to bring some heat to this market.
Audeze is owned by Sony now rip, I love my Maxwell but it is too bulky can't take it outside
Funny, the Stax Spirit uses Audeze drivers.

The Momentum 4 always kicking ass.
Not this time, M4 sounds muddy aside S5, It's still better than almost every BT headphone
What about max volume on S5. Isn't it not to quiet?
No
