Excellent video as always. Seems like if you have IKON it's not the best deal since pricing is affordable with normal rates. Also this season is probably not worth it since they still haven't replaced grand montets tram.
Yes, totally agree - lift passes in much of Europe is so much cheaper than the US that Epic or Ikon would require a lot more days on the mountain just to break even on the pass.
I heard decades ago it was possible to ski all the way down to chamonix most of the time during the winter, but nowadays there's only a 1-week window that you can do this
I booked the afternoon before and was lucky that Christophe was available. They were fully booked and said they would see what they could do. It took a few hours for them to confirm.
A few years ago i cli bed the south face of midi with a guide, one of the highlights of my climbing career, i was 72 and we had no issues.

@@yinze425 It definitely wasn't possible to ski all the way down when I was there last February.
When did you film this? Always nice to know if it's recent.
@@AlanHartPhD This was the end of last February, so about 9 months ago.
How far in advance did you book the guide?

Very Very rarely in condition these days. Chamonix is a tourist infested sprawling dump. avoid
