For 2010 this is amazing. I always wondered why he kept saying this was his favorite set ever and now I get it. I still am not convinced it’s better than the UCS star destroyer but it’s definitely up there and I think a remake is due.
I love how they did the wings so they look good even in their landed position. It would be cool if they could remake this set with at least the ramp that drops down
I'm not sure what I want. I just got into lego star wars and I love the clone trooper minifigures but I only have gree and a 41st recon. So I think I'm hoping for a republic gunship. But I think I'll rather maybe a master builders becuase ucs doesn't really have any figures in them.
The writing in the cockpit all translates perfectly. "Come to the dark side we got cookies" "Adam made this set" "Kurt was here and wrote" as well as "front" and "side"

The one and only Idiot the interior wasn’t lacking. It’s a collectors set for displaying. Interiors are not required for these sets. Collector sets are not supposed to be remade. LEGO are looking to make more money instead of supporting the collectors side of the hobby. Sets sell for more on the aftermarket and LEGO is jealous. It’s quite sad really. Since 2015 we’ve had 1 original UCS set which was this years A-Wing. For 5 years now we’ve had nothing but UCS remakes. Is there no creativity left at LEGO? What makes these sets so great and unique is that they’re larger and rarer than your average playable sets. Rereleasing the same ones year in year then they might as well remove the collector series title
Love the review! I picked up this set a couple weeks ago and just finished building it. Definitely an impressive display piece. But Ryan, you need to push those landing gear axles up into the shuttle. Looks better and creates an intimate connection.
I actually ended up getting the imperial shuttle tydirum when I first started collecting LSW and honestly it’s definitely not the imperial shuttle but definitely underrated imo
I just got the Shuttle Tydirium set but wanted to check out what I'm missing out on and cockpit aside it doesn't feel like a whole lot. No interior of the main body was a surprise. I like how they made it at least look like it connected. Minifigs in Shuttle Tydirium are better too. That winding mechanism would annoy me. Not sure I'll chase down this set but if love a remake.

2:09 I had a look Brickset, and this is actually the only hairpiece LEGO has ever used for ROTJ Luke. So it makes sense that even the new 2020 death star duel set uses this og piece.
I remember going to Legoland when I was 9 I had the choice between the Death Star or this set, I went with the Death Star but now as an adult I wish I went with the shuttle, such a class build
Love the set. Only version I have of it is the poly bag version Edit 9 hours later: I made a stand that looks just like the one in the ucs one to put on my poly bag one that makes it in the flying position. Looks just like the one for the ucs, just shrunken down
I hope the rumors of a reissued or remade USC Imperial Shuttle are true. Always loved the design of the Tyderium ship but paying $800+ for it aftermarket is bananas and not happening.

My favorite LEGO set is the LEGO Star Wars venator class republic attack cruiser from 2010. I want it soooo badly it costs 552 American dollars. I would legitimately do anything for this set. Anyways nice glasses 😎
This set is in my opinion, one of the best UCS sets Lego ever made, if not THE best. It sits in a very prominent location in my living room. I love to watch the reaction of people when they see it.

This is a very cool set. This set should be remade with more details on the shuttle and more mini figures. The mini figures that should be included are Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, 2 Royal Guards, 2 Stormtroopers, 2 Imperial Shuttle Pilots, and 2 Imperial Officers.
My only complaint with the set is the lack of a Palpatine minifig and a lack of airstairs. The Emperor and his guardsmen exiting the Lambda Shuttle in ROTJ is such a cool and iconic scene and it's a shame we can't recreate it on display imo Besides that, the set is a whopping 9/10 in my books
they desperately need to make a droid battle pack, because if you want to try and build up a droid army nowadays then...... you pretty much have no choice of probably spending a fortune to get a proper one, and anyways its gonna be ucs hoth all over again, like 5 clones against 2 droids and droids are supposed to be strength in numbers
I hope the new one will do away with those crank handles on the back. I really don't like those. They could just make it so you can manually lift and lower them. Quicker, easier and less wonky.
Man I've wanted this set for so long but decided if I was going to spend that much now I might as well go big, I just finished building the Brickvault UCS shuttle. thing's massive and awesome with it's motorized wings.
I don't understand why people feel the need to take everything out of a box and scatter them all over and cause your LEGO to take up more space. If you keep your boxes, why not just keep instructions in there along with the spare parts or minifigures so you don't have to do extra work? Makes it easier to keep track on your things when selling them, so you avoid making ebay listings with things like, "I think it's all there".
had this as a kid and while i was away from home a little cousin was there and i came back to it being destroyed. i was pretty devasted to say the least

The Imperial Shuttle has always been one of my favorite ships. I used it all the time in LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga.

If you look in the original trilogy the guns on the wings are turned upwards when it is landed. Nobody seems to have checked that.
