This is awesome. Suggestion: since this model is so expensive for most to build, maybe provide the alternative of just buying instructions for a new cockpit that only modifies the area beyond the cockpit hinge. That way owners of the shuttle can swap out the cockpit and give the shuttle a much better look without breaking the bank.
This is easily my favourite shuttle in the Star Wars universe. So sleek, functional and practical. It's been the number one thing I've wanted you to cover since you finished the rebel and imperial bombers.
On the engine, (correct me if I'm wrong) wouldn't it be more movie accurate if the thrusters glow blue I think this could be fixed by putting some trans blue plates behind the grill tiles
@@MegaShawn88hello, its probably unlikely that you would see this but i am currently gathering the parts from my lego lot. Probably will have to order a few hundred pieces, but i already found all needed power functions (not enough of the leds though) and bricks/plates except for the white ones that need 300+ of the same part. Was it difficult to add that blue layer you mentioned? And do you think it would work to use an external lighting kit so that i can turn on the lights for display? Aftermarket lights are much cheaper than ordering the ones from lego anyways
@maxweber8794 it wasn't hard to put the trans blue. And I think you can use any lighting kits for this as well. It's all about how you can hide the wiring properly and connected right. You got this. 💪
this comment train is filled with mandr haters. he runs a business for gods sake. if he said lego did everything right all the time then he would not have many subs or money
What a beautiful ship and I wish I could afford the money and time to build this (but I'd replace those off-color tan pieces and make it white). Love the UCS version that I have set up alongside the Slave I. The Lambda Shuttle always makes me think it's like an old-school Cadillac with the design, sleekness, and classiness.
Looks fantastic! I can tell a lot of time went into it. Although I think your MOC is better than Lego's there are a few thing I think their's achieved better. For example, I like the wing greebles, but they're barely noticeable on the actual ship, so I think I prefer Lego's "toned-down" look. Also, I wonder if it would be possible to flatten out the "face" panel of the nosecone and cockpit, because that isn't super attractive up close. I really like how you did the shaping and interior work, though. That's what truly separates your work from Lego's.
I absolutely love this model, I would rather have this then the Lego shuttle, I can’t wait to get the parts and build it, Marshall banana did an amazing job on this
I downloaded the instructions for the ucs imperial shuttle which was going to be my next project but I think im definitely going to do this one instead!
Very true. It's very obvious that MOC's are always far better looking than LEGO sets lolol. But the price for the best can be a bit..... Too much haha.
Amazing! Can you make an MOC Multi Troop Transport (MTT), the Phantom Menace and the Clone Wars edition? I really like the Clone Wars one. The one that in LEGO Star Wars addicted shown in Facebook.
Instructions will be the least expensive part of this ship. If instruction costs are an issue for you, you will probably have a bigger issue with the parts cost, unfortunately. Check the brickvault website though, they had a price estimate last I checked.
I have a question regarding the partlist. The file includes "stand.xml" "Landing.Gear.xml" and "Tydirium.xml". If i want to build the ship on the black stand, do i need to have "Tyridium.xml" parts or do i need "stand.xml" in addition to that? Ty
Biiiiiggggg question for ya. I build models, and enjoy star wars, what scale is this model compared to the real thing, or better yet what dimensions did you find on the ships height width and length?
Wouldn't it be awesome if lego remade the UCS Imperial Shuttle, and included 2 sets of minifigs for it like the Millennium Falcon? Luke Skywalker can be interchangable with his Endor and Death Star outfits, For the Imperial version, we'll have Darth Vader, Darth Sidious, Commander Jerjerrod, an Imperial Shuttle Pilot, and 2× Royal Guards. Then for the Tydirium: We'll have Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Captain Rex (Commander now), and 2x Rebel Troopers all in Endor form. Giving us 13 figures in total.
The grey stripe is only present on palpatine’s Personal shuttle the others don’t have it. You can just add the grey parts for that if you really want it!
@@trevor0446 yeah i guess i was Just nitpicking cause i Just recently learned about that fact and i Just couldnt hold myself from pointing it out without second thought So the build itself with my new found knowledge is perfect

And the instructions have nothing to do with the number of parts of the moc. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't you make much more profit if the prices were lower? People (like me) would buy them if they were cheaper, but with these prices we cannot afford buying your instructions. Long story short, I feel like with lower prices you would make more eventual profit. (And don't get me wrong, I love your work and I don't wanna tell you what to do, I just had thoughts. )
I love how you guys amass a collection of the best star wars ship mocs from around the world and make them accessible to us all!
Last time I was this early, the clone wars was a reference to an unknown conflict
18+ Years. Before TH-cam existed. Congratulations. Very Trendy.
You guys should make a minifigure scale jabbas sail barge
I would love to see that
I neeedd some jabba sets. Ucs jabbas sail barge and mbs jabbas palace.
bit late but im working on one ; )
You should do the emperor’s shuttle with the grey stripe on the cockpit area

Garion bishop You`re absolutely right. Would be easy to stick some trans blue plates in when building.
That's what I've done on this MOC. Looks alot better.

My favorite OT ship! Thanks for bringing it to life in LEGO.
That build is insane, the details are so nice
Jeez this is quite the moc. You guys really do an amazing job recreating these ships.

What an awesome build! Probably one of the best ships on the channel
Excellent model! Well done to the folks who made it happen. Definitely one for my dream LEGO room!
Wow that’s pretty cool 👌
Wow this is a excellent model
Just a stunning design. How do people conceive of such amazing builds?

Great MOC as always! Would love to see you do a Minifig scale MTT in blue and grey.

I personaly think it looks better without the two lines in the black windscreen

Make a Minifig scale Republic y-wing!
Yes!
So the LEGO one?
Dude, this is insanely amazing!
it would be really cool if you guys could do a republic attack shuttle!!
I really dig the cockpit shape compared to lego’s version
Can the creator do an upgrade for a non-motorized version?
Where the interior isn't wasted for power functions hardware?
I think either way, most of the inside would be technic functioning like the LEGO released version.
Wow looking perfect as always BrickVault
wow this one is amazing, great work guys.
What an amazing build. Great job on it.
Very cool. But shouldn't the thrusters have blue lights?
If this was the actual set, it would be good value for money.
$1,000 UCS set? Really?
The thrusters are supposed to be blue I think
Love love love it !!!!!

Will the parts list be made available on Rebrickable so we can cost this before committing to buying the instructions?
You have to buy the instructions first to know that. BV no longer uses rebrick

I would really like to see you guys make a tie hunter or the tie dagger please (;

good question, hopefully someone answers to that!
Biiiiiggggg question for ya. I build models, and enjoy star wars, what scale is this model compared to the real thing, or better yet what dimensions did you find on the ships height width and length?
It should be very close to minifig scale. Beyond that, I'm not sure, but it shouldn't be too terribly difficult to find out what minifig scale is.
How much is it without the lights?
The one thing they’ve never been able to nail is the cockpit, this moc absolutely destroys the official sets

Yes just yes
looking cool overall, the cockpit is very nice, BUT the middle section of main body is too tall, it look like flying fridge :D
Are the motors necessary? Or is it possible to open/close the wings without them?
Yah it’s necessary. Otherwise you’ll have to completely redesign the interior to support the weight of the wings
I would like to see the new studio
WoW it's great.
I have a question for you, how much will Diagon Alley from LEGO Harry Potter cost, because some say it will cost $ 399, others $ 299
Can you make a Krennic's shuttle moc?
Adding any brickstuff screens to the cockpit?
on top of the 44 dollar price for instructions, how much do you think it costs to buy all the lego peaces to build it?
When MandR wants to make a UCS ghost for MOCtober but this gets made and now he’ll spend $1000 to make a huge LEGO shuttle
