I'm loving this series on Rahu and Ketu. Especially this one because it dealt with Ma Chinnamasta. There's an old and famous Chinnamasta temple in Ramgarh district of Jharkhand, ( you've mentioned it), close to Hazaribagh, where I was born. Been to that temple many times since my childhood.

Chinnamasta drinking her own blood suggest that nothing goes waste in the Nature. Her two female desciples drinking her blood too from her both sides actually represents our Ida and Pingla naari while she herself represents the Shushumna naari at the centre of our spine through which one can become urdha retah i.e. transfer his/her semen power upwards from the Muladhar chakra to the Sahastar via other five chakras inbetween leading to his/her samadhi in order to attain salvation. On the other hand her desciples drinking her blood is detrimental to the adaptability to any situation of crisis. Her standing over Rati and Kaam where it's Rati who performs her foreplay on the body of Kaamdev just contrary to the conventional foreplay between the straight couples. This suggests that firstly Nature also has its own exception. Secondly it also suggests that Rati symbolises our flow of semen when dragged upwards towards the seat of the Allmighty which is Sahastar is here represented by Kamdev himself. The voluptuary of female nakedness contrasted by the shocking side of the blood flow from the same body shows us the vicious reality that slaps the face of any pervert, hard enough to bring her/him to his/her senses. The Ida and Pingla naari represented by Chinnamasta's two disciples, function as the inhaling and exhaling of air respectively and together with Shushumna naari represented by the goddess herself represent the breathing exercises called pranayam which helps in attaining Samadhi to achieve Moksha or Salvation. Besides the same air element is represented by Rahu and the whole picture of Chinnamasta represents it's purification in the whole procedure as well.
