Ever since childhood, me and my family are ardent devotees of Maa Chinmastika devi. Her Shakti peeth is in Una, Himachal pradesh. Thank you for providing this information about maa. But let me tell you I have seen the most benevolent side of Maa. She is very kind and loving. I would like to share her serene picture with you in the form of her Shakti peeth

In Una she is Maa Chintpurni & not Chhinamasta . Although she is the same Devi Maa but her manifestation in Una is different from the one talked in this video.
@@MrDittu09 this is true... i have been to rajrappa for more than 30 years , since i was a kid , have known chinnamasta mata peeth to be there , its only after this youtube travel videos and others exploding that i came to know about other maa shrines , well i did ask about it to my grand dad ..who is a regular to peeth (because ramgarh is my ancestral town) , he said that this peeth is one of the oldest and probably extremely powerful , for other shrines of maa , they are a different representation , lets put it like kalighat temple is originally in bengal,, but devotes have worshipped maa kaali in other states too naming her shrines after kalighat .

There is another Chinnamasta temple in Rajrappa Shaktipeeth ,Jharkhand which is very powerful place of worshiping Goddess Kali .🙏

Chetla, in Kolkata, every years chinna mastika ma pandal is created and celebrated during kali puja. And that pooja is very famous.

The Context: Mother Chhinnamasta was returning from a fierce battle with the Asuras, she and her both companions were hungry, so she cut her head off, temporarily to feed all (3) of them. Meanwhile, Rati and kaam Dev were passing by, and they wanted to have fun on these 3 warriors; that is why they shoot an Arrow that invokes the desires of sexual urge. The Mother got hold of that Arrow, and shot them back, now they are lost in their own Maya and had to have intercourse, instantly. These 3 saw it and decided to trample the weird couple engaging in intercourse in the middle of the road, without any provocation. Excellent Iconography of India, Om NamaSchandikaayei !

Agreed. Excellent point. The apparent goriness is due to the involvement of blood, which is typically associated with scariness/death/anger etc. One can see these goddesses as as smart, intelligent, skillful as a surgeon, who know what they are doing, using their powers to serve a purpose...and not to scare anyone...or make anyone bow to them out of fear or anything.

You should be scared. Higher powers like these are not to be toyed with. Like the person in the video said, Mata Chinmastika is only evoked when everything else has failed, she is too intense. Yes, she is beautiful. But her fierceness and beauty should humble you, make you bow, and you should fear her before you do anything wrong.

There is a Chinnamasta mandir near Kamakhya mandir too. Its way too dark and stiff. Inside a cave. I am blessed to visit Maa and ever since i am blessed
I visited this temple last week, it was a different out of this world experience, when I went down those steps and visited her shrine, all so dark. I have not been able to stop thinking about it, ever since!

The point about celibacy is a misinterpretation. The point about mastering/trampling kaamdev/rati is a misinterpretation.
The picture of Devi Chinnamasta severing her head is a metaphor for the energy being who 'repurposes' her energy/being to create/feed two other beings and her own self.
It represents an important step/transmutation of an intelligent energy entity for the propagation of life force. And since it is important, it must propagate itself and few other entities..and it goes on for ever.
Also, do not take it literally that 'standing/trampling' on Kaamdev+Rati represents any form of power hierarchy or anything like that. Each of the entity in this picture serves a purpose without being higher or lesser than any one else in the picture.

Wrong explanation of iconography. She does not represent celibacy. She shows the cycle of birth and death. The origin shown by the couple and then the cut off head which symbolises both seperation of mind and body as well as death. The blood feeds life. Dakini and varnini represent life forces.
It also represents the overcoming 'chetna' above 'kam' and 'moh'

And he has two. Beads are something that's supposed help you depart from the ego, but by wearing a it like jewelry, you actually make this mistake: It's hypocritical to want be seen as a pious man. Discard your desire to be seen a certain way, and use prayer beads IN PRAYER. Exit the cycle of feeding your personal ego with external symbols.
It's common practice in India, being the oldest civilization to wear jewelry/ beads depending on one's station in life. Traditionally, there's no intent to flaunt but to connect to higher forms of energy. Understand the significance as symbolisms to reach higher states of consciousness
