Lovely camera work and story in an exquisite region! Thanks for sharing Bruce! An extended Zimbabwe safari is definitely on the list for the near(ish) future.

i fell in love with this episode, first tym watching and u have certainly gained a subscriber. Brilliant content from the commentary to the actual filming. Thanks again 2 Canaan for the brilliant hospitality, these guys are unsung hereos...
Hey Bruce. You probably don’t remember me (also a Turner) but when you trek through Malawi again get in touch. Better yet, bring your dad up here. Our dads were friends many moons ago. Have a spot on the lake and camp regularly in the AP parks. Great show btw, congrats.
Hi Brad. Was your dad’s name Lionel by any chance. I think I remember a Lionel Turner. Now that sounds like a great plan. Please email me your contact details to bruce@owb.co.za and let me know your dad’s name so I can tell my old man too. Thank you and thank you for watching
Bruce, honestly I love how you add some humor in your commentary. I think you should try comedy as well (pun intended) 🤣🤣🤣🤣. All the same, I love your content my brother very informative, spot on, I have learnt a lot about my country from your videos, keep it up. I am a Zimbabwean living in Russsia and your videos makes me miss home so so much.
Hahaha comedy? No thanks. I will probably offend someone and be thrown out 😂 Thank you so much for watching. I appreciate the positive comment and support. All the best in Russia
Thanks so much Ian. It was huge one of the biggest ive seen. I hope my invitation is in the mail ? 😂😂 Thank you for watching and have a great trip to Gona.
I recently found your channel and started watching when you only had 1000 subs. Really enjoy your content. I have stopped watching so many who have become total grifters, so really enjoy your sincere ‘just love being out there’ approach. Thanks. Keep them coming

Great travel report Bruce. Now we are actually sorry we did not visit Chewore when being so close, staying in Mana Pools. Looks brilliant. But more reason to come back of course. Look forward to the seeing the next episode and your trip to the highlands! Cheers Remco PS you are so right about the cost of the Chitake camp. Would be worthwhile partnering up with another traveller and share the cost.
Good day Mr Bruce. I just finished enjoying this episode. This is real bush camping it looks wild and I Love it. I think visiting Zimbabwe should be on my bucket list.
You should. It’s an amazing country with some amazing wild places to stay in. Definitely my favourite but I might be biased as I was born there. 😂 thank you for watching
Always thoroughly enjoy your Zimbabwe adventures. You really had a tine there on the Zambezi. And for the smiles you always put on those kids, I'm very grateful.
Thank you Bruce, what a great experience, stunning views of so much game & the river. Well done El on catching the biggest Tiger 😅. Looking forward to the next episode! ❤
Your videos are great you showed us Kanyemba where Luangwa joins now when you in the area, point out where the kafue joins which is bigger than the Luangwa, it would be great thank
Dear Mr. Bruce, I've been watching your TH-cam videos on a daily basis, and I thoroughly enjoy the way you present them. There are two episodes that I particularly enjoy watching: the first is when you visited the triple point of Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Zambia in Kanyemba, and the 'Chasing Smiles' episode 3, where you went to the triple point of South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique. What I'd like to find out from you, sir, is whether you have plans to make a video about the triple point of South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Botswana, located along the Shashe River and Limpopo River on either side? Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your response."
Thank you very much. I have been there but not done a video. I think thats a great idea and perhaps I should include Matetsi area on the Zim side of Kuzangula. Thank you for watching and thank you for the idea. Now I need to find some time :)
Bruce, as always a great episode! I hope you have a few more episodes coming up as I noted this was filmed a year ago 😂 Quick we needs load more please. Have you ever been to Mongwe? Used to be fab in the 90s and awesome fishing too(I am afraid to say I'm worse than you) 😂😂
yeah I know. It's been a busy year and my focus has been on my business with most weekends filled with checking the rental vehicles and on top of that my day job to be honest. I haven't been to Mongwe. Will put it onto the list. Thank you. Thank you for watching.
Hi Bruce, we love ur show. Thank u. We want to know if u recommend the defender 110 for overlanding and what offroad caravan would u suggest. We r retired and would love to do trips like this . Thank u in advance
Thank you very much. I think it all comes down to personal preference. The defender is great, safe and comfortable but may not suit everyone’s needs. Wrt the trailer, I suggest going and taking a look at what’s available and possibly hire one for a weekend to find one that suits your needs. Take a look at the Bushlapa range also, I’ve never used one but, I’m hearing very good reports about them. Thank you for watching.
Beautiful scenery and very informative. Can you comment on Gonarezhou in Dec to mid Jan or are we wasting our time as it's the start of the rainy season. Many thanks Bruce and keep it up
Warren you maybe lucky it all depends on the rains. If the rains are late it will be hot and dry and you will be able to go anywhere. If it has been raining the Runde river maybe full and a lot of the tracks will be closed. The causeway may still be open but even then some tracks will be closed on the other side. The bush is beautiful in summer but can also be very dense so you may not see much. Thank you for watching.
There are actually several locations with footprints and some even with "bones". Totally amazing. Did you see this video where I visited the footprints?th-cam.com/video/3RPothaxMyM/w-d-xo.html (Zimbabwe Unknown) Thank you so much for watching
I use Tracks 4 Africa and I am also proud to say I (and others) have also recorded all my tracks and sent it to them over the last few years so they have many tracks up to date. They are about to also come out with a new Zim tour guide book which I can’t wait for.
Shock issues again Bruce I would drop the tyre pressures to 1.8 bar but the problem with independent suspension and particularly where you have a significant deviation from vertical the shocks are worked hard this is why most Aussie vans with independent suspension have double shocks. Almarie likes to rub it in "in your face Bruce" 🤣😂🤣😂
😂 let’s not talk about the fishing. I was running 1.5 bar. The funny thing is the Amorok shocks I found in harare have lasted ever since on much worse roads so perhaps it’s a bad or wrong spec of shock that is being used? Thank you very much for watching and commenting and not mentioning the fishing 😂
I guess we fit into that category of "some people" . It is common practice to catch and release the tiger fish. Apparently they are not great fish to eat anyway. But I also think that its like saying what's the point of chasing a white ball around a golf course or taking a picture of an animal or ? It's all about enjoyment and I cant tell you it was a lot of fun and remember we are not fishermen/people. Also this is going to be strange but I actually felt better that they were released and not killed also. You should try it sometime. Thank you for watching.
