I hear a lot of customer complaining about the hum on the new spark cab. Until fixed I won't buy!
Has a cycling hum that's pretty constant. Plugged into a Furman Line Conditioner.
time to address the noise floor issue publicly. did you send reviewers the best units that were not defective and now you're trying to claim that your bug is a feature?
I can’t even play clean through mine 😭 I can play my twin sister or small box 50 cranked with less noise than this thing has with the volume all the way down
I was under the impression that the sound would also come out of my Spark 40 but it doesn't. Also, the cab has way toooo much bass coming out of it? I have to turn the bass down in the app every time I use it? Still trying to decide if I should send it back.
Mine turned up yesterday. Like it. Sounds like there’s a fan in there somewhere humming away to keep it cool. Anyone else?
Yep mine to, very annoying and I’m very disappointed.
Same issue here. Didn't hear it in any of the demos beforehand and when I play with distortion I can't here it of course but playing clean I can. It's pretty loud.
100% can hear it. Not cool
terrible hum that wont go away no matter what i do.
Yes. Hum is there. Frustrating.
It would be great if the software on mobile phones and iPads allows you to zoom in on amps settings in the Spark app. It’s very tiny and a zoom in option would be awesome
When playing thru this cab, does the spark 40 speakers turn off or do they still pump out stereo sounds along with the single 10 inch inside the cab?
They turn off.
The only problem with the Spark products is the very limiting app. They really need to expand the amount of pedals you can have active.
The products are of quality and they sound great. But the app really needs work. And why can't I get my BiasFX2 pedals and tones on it as well? Great products, but the app is needlessly limited.
bias fx2 is their premium app and they charge a lot for it. why would they put those tones on the 200 dollar practice amp? wouldn’t make any business sense
Hello
Peut on brancher le spark 2 sur l’alimentation du cab ?
Bonne journée
I’m frustrated by the amount of people asking or commenting on the noise of this cab clean or at idle.
They are getting zero response on these comments from Positive Grid.
Positive Grid is cherry picking what they are replying to.
My experience with Positive Grid is mixed, zero customer support with my products from them.
It’s a lot of Chinese AI B.S.
Never can you speak to a real person in real time conveniently.
Nevermind that fact that I’m reading nothing but complaints about the muddiness and humming…I have a white Spark, I won’t consider this at all until it’s released in the matching material. Do that and me and plenty of others will consider buying.
is there a possibility to have multiple cabs connected to eachother at once?
Yes
They made a major mistake here by not having a battery option on the cab
Is the purpose of the cab only to play louder?
Having no ability to utilize the built-in speaker and a line-out (going to FoH) in your amps simultaneously is a total purchase blocker for me and looks like a silly oversight. It surely increases the need in a separate products such as Spark CAB though, so it's probably an intentional limitation. It would be nice to hear PG's position on feasibility of adding this feature in a software update.
Hey ZoomRmc - FRFR extension products don't typically utilize another unit's output stage. If you imagine Spark + CAB like a traditional halfstack, the guitar amp (head) itself does not produce any output without the cabinet connected. In this sense, Spark CAB transforms a self-contained practice amp into a gig ready stack, bypassing the less powerful speaker stage in favor of the cabinet.
@@positivegrid I understand what you're saying but I was talking about completely different scenario. I'd like to use the Spark as is and being able to still output the sound to FoH from the amp's line-out. This way I don't need any additional devices for on-stage monitoring and the PA receives a complete and ready sound. Even non-modeling amps have been offering this for years (by including crude speaker-cab simulations for line-outs). I don't see any reason a modeling gear can't provide the same.
@@positivegrid BTW, there's a similar story with the Bias heads. Why can't the user configure which output goes through the cab sim and which doesn't separately? I'd like to be able to use the powered output both with the guitar cabs and full-range speakers (when in a tight spot) and have the ability to switch the cab-sim for the line-outs independently. I bet this is totally solvable in SW.
That's not what it sounds like.
Mine gets here tomorrow
👌
I have watched a lot of review videos from other spark cabinet owners. There seems to be a huge problem with people claiming that this cabinet is very bass heavy. Does it seem like something that could be exasperated by all of these gains stages pushing the lower frequencies with more umph! 🤔 I'm personally happy just using the spark as a practice amp.
Just received my shipping and tracking information..🎉🎉🎉 So excited
I ordered to get the early December delivery. I will use it with the Spark GO! I love the portability and the versatility, and the Spark GO App, but the clean signal volume is lower on the GO than my Taylor AD12e-SB is acoustically... problem solved with the Spark CAB! I will also use the Spark CAB with my Yamaha THR30iiA (A = the Acoustic version) line outs, to elevate that practice amps output, when needed, as well! Even though I have all acoustic guitars, having the Spark GO gives me everything I don't have in the Yamaha THR30iiA (which primarily models Microphones with some effects, like reverb, chorus, delay, compression, etc., and has a 2nd channel with an XLR, and Reverb for a Microphone!) ... like all the Amps and Effects of an electric guitar modeling amp, without having to buy another Amp (that doesn't fit in the guitar case)!👍 ...put the BOSS RC-5 Looper in front of either one, add the Spark CAB as needed, for either one, and it's ALL SET! 😜 (Now if I can figure out a way to get an Effects Loop going on, so I could put the RC-5 where it should be!) ...again, trying not to buy that, now 3rd, Amp! (BOSS Katana MkII, 100 watt ?) 🤔
with the spark 40 do you need a summing cable from the stereo headphone out into the cab?
I just ordered the Spark CAB, I'm extremely excited.
Can’t wait to get mine!
Hope they release some cool looking custom grills.
go to the fabric store make your own mate endless choices I did it to my Marshall cabs have a go
❤
Can you plug a microphone into the cab?
No, the XLR inputs are for instruments with a line level out, like e-drums or a floor modeler
@@positivegrid ok thank you. I was hoping to order one. Just was curious if I could have plugged a mic of some kind for my daughter to sing with.
Uh, how 'bout a white one? Way more classy.
