Excellent personal advice from 4:25 and on and on!!!! Love it!!!!!! Subscribing and binging on your tutorials!!!! Admire your art style & instructions! Thank you so much!!!!
Great painting. I love how the gradations look and the strong contrast of certain values and tones really makes things pop. I really appreciated when you said it’s no different making something complicated like this vs something more simple as long as you break it into steps. Really demystifies things for me. Also the tip about each layer not needing to be perfect because it evens itself out once you layer over it. Thanks for sharing!
Hi, thank for the thoughtful comment, I'm delighted you found some value in this video. I know people can be discouraged early in the painting process, because watercolour does take some persistence and patience to build the layers before you generally see the results you want. 💙
This was a great video and I would like to see more of them. I really learned a lot from this and I am going to try these techniques in some of my paintings.
Literally the best use of watercolor I've ever seen! Please make paint along videos so you can be the next Bob Ross. Or video... singular. Just something? Please!?
That’s so kind of you! Hahahah I enjoyed that comment, and more video will come, I’m just busy atm working on a watercolour book to be published 2025. Thanks for watching! 💙
Wow! I loved your video!! thank you so much for explaining it in such a simple and efficient way. It felt so daunting at first, but your process is giving me courage to try more complex illustrations 😊
Absolutely delightful! Love the overall joyful tone your paintings emit with their soothing, harmonious color scheme. Would love to see a list of colors you use, perhaps in your descriptions : ) or else mentioned in the video would be very helpful. Thanks for sharing your process and tips!
I’m enjoying your process immensely. I’ve gone through a lot of yt videos to study watercolor and I’ve learned so much over this past year but your video was refreshing and I love the fact that you explained as you go. The patience definitely pays off. Thank you. Please keep your videos coming.
Amazing step by step tutorial. It is such a great quality video, everything is explained perfectly! Which kind of paper did you use? And most importantly: is there a way to receive the initial sketch in order to follow the tutorial without having to deal with the initial sketch? Happy Painting :)
I considered subscribing, and so I did. ;-) hehe Brilliant artwork, my friend! LOVE the colors. That's my favorite part. Just found your channel, and I'm so very excited to have done so! Thank you for sharing your talent & skill with us. Beautifully done.
My first visit to your channel and I love your work, I subscribed. 🥰 May I ask what type of paper you use for your illustration paintings? Also how do you keep your frisket from drying out in the bottle. I never get to use the whole bottle because it dries out and becomes lumpy and thick when I'm half way down. It's expensive to have to buy more. Thank you for your video your painting is beautiful!
I use Arches 300 GSM cotton paper, this illustration is HOT Pressed. Try pouring what you need into a smaller container for each artwork, this way you can keep the lid on the masking fluid closed. Thanks for watching 💙
Bonjour, je viens de vous découvrir et j'adore ce que vous faites ;-), pouvez vous me dire si vous allez faire d'autres vidéos s'il vous plait, parce que la dernière date de deux mois, merci beaucoup pour la réponse, bonne journée
I was guessing it was a giclee printer with the water color paper being ran through. Those printers, like the Canon Pixma Pro 300 / 1000, are very friendly to thick textured paper and the pigment is acrylic. I've also seen a few oil painters do that and then use clear gesso overtop of the print before painting (and mounting it a board too.) The process is to do the study / sketch digitally, then print out the guidelines / outline (whatever you need), print it, prep it and then do a tinting layer / underpainting. I think this is becoming common in the illustration world.
Fantastic work ❤and well explained.Thx 🇦🇺🎄

What kind of watercolors are you using? Inktense?
I would love to have a tutorial like this with a printable (maybe on Kofi that we pay for) that we could follow along with!!! Love your work!!!

Love this a lot! How long do you let the paint dry before you go over it with a wash? Thank you so much❤
Bellissimo! How did you plan this beautiful illustration? Digitally? How did you think about planning it in that way? :) thanks!
Is there a printable version of this drawing
No sorry not for this one 💙
This is such a gorgeous illustration! Is this hot press or cold press paper? What kind of pencil did you use for the base sketch?
" DEVELOPING YOUR OWN WORK"...THERE IS NO WRONG
👍🥰🥰🥰👍
Beautiful! Could you tell us how you did the sketching? Are these lines printed by a printer?
@@JGalegrialooks like coloured pencil. Not sure why you would classify this as "colouring in"
