I did karaoke yesterday. I performed The Beatles song "Hello Goodbye", and did the Ozzy Osborne song "Crazy Train" with three people - a three person assemble.
Somebody did karaoke and they did the The All-American Rejects song "Gives You Hell." If you're unfamiliar with that song it has really nasty lyrics. It has lyrics that are basically mean. There's somebody who's at rock bottom, poor, and has no money. And the singer basically wishes his wealth and fame gives them hell. Makes them suffer. While this person is eating all the worst foods.
I was listening to the song. My life has been 36, soon to be 37 years of pain and suffering in a couple of days. I got ideas of reference delusions that the song was written about me back in 2008. That somebody was hoping their success and my pain and suffering gave me hell. And the song was literally written about me. Then I started to get irrationally steaming angry.
Catch it, check it, change it. This is an ideas of reference delusion. There's no evidence The All-American Rejects song Gives You Hell was written about me. There's no evidence that everybody was having fun, having the time of their lives, while I was suffering in solitude, dependent on my parents, eating the worst foods. CATCH IT. END IT.
Was the song a little triggering? Yes. It's a nasty song with lyrics that I don't see who can relate to - unless they have a girlfriend that they hate - a relationship that went sour - and you want her to suffer. Who's going to really say "I love those lyrics?" The best lyrics are those that empower, help, and love people - NOT "I want to see you suffer. I want to see you in pain. I want to see you go through hell." Those lyrics are nasty and I don't like songs with lyrics like that.

Two things here Andrew. 1) I was happy to see your karaoke videos. Everyone seemed nice and it looked like everyone had a lot of fun. 2) while you are talking about the lyrics of the song being mean and disrespectful and not nice, I want you to consider the lyrics of your own songs like I hate you. You have also done some very nasty songs about people in your life. Just something to think about. But keep up the good work and keep going to groups like that. It’ll help you come out of your shell and make friends

@@Patrick-bf8qt valid point. However, no one likes a joke at their expense. But it's not. It's an idea of reference delusion.
