I'm a Japanese Language Teacher and I tell the exact thing to my students all the time: when I studied the language I had to carry in my backpack a couple of dictionaries that weighed a ton, but you have all that you want in your phone! My most used apps are dictionaries and apps to read in other languages. Love how you customised your device!
I’m a new subscriber and I love this video! I just got an iPhone 15. I love the esthetic of your phone, especially your backgrounds. Were those part of the pack you bought on Etsy? You really have dialed in on the work focus. To set that up seems so overwhelming for me but I love that you included that in this video. Such a great video!
Wow Caitlin, some of your recommendations here are invaluable to the neurodivergent community! Those NFC stickers are definitely something that will help me a bunch, and that greyscale screen will help my sensory overload! My current phones screen is just all black, and while that helps a lot, it is a boring. Some of my fave apps that aren't social media related are: A date calculator: I originally thought I'd only use this to help me with managing my budget and figure out when I'll need to buy my medications next (something I always used to forget and be scrambling with last minute!), but I actually use this all of the time! A countdown timer: this helps me to make sure I buy gifts in time for birthdays, etc, and it also helps me to know how long I've got left to read my library books. I know this is technically a social media app (but most people don't think of it that way), but I love going on Reddit. I l mostly use it for connecting with the bujo and reading subs, plus the ones relevant to my dog, so for me I use this more as a hobby and educational/advice app. My most used app is probably audible though. It's my fave way to read and I use it as white noise when I'm trying to sleep. I also use widgets for the weather and sleep tracking, because if they aren't in my face I never remember to check. I then add the info into my bujo.
When my old phone kicked the can a few months ago, I made a decision to not to install any social media apps on it. After 2 months I can’t go back.. my screen time reduced drastically and found love in reading books again. 😊
I absolutely hate the red bubbles. I have them deactivated completely in my Android phone to avoid anxiety 😅 Now, the work mode is not something I think Android has and it would be so good! I already do something similar with my computer. I have one user profile that is exclusively for work, and then I have another one with my games and all my personal stuff. It's very helpful for staying focused.

I used to have the iPhone 12 and upgraded to the iPhone 15 pro in march this year been loving it since then
I have ADHD and Finch is one of my favourite apps ever. It has honestly revolutionized my self-care game and helps with executive function!
Same! I’m a huge finch fan, it’s really improved my mental health and coping with my anxiety and depression
I’ve just downloaded Finch, never heard of it before but excited to give it a go - thank you!!!
just upgraded from an XR to a 15 so this video came at the perfect time!!
I really should figure out how to add cute icons, yours look amazing 🥰
Your enthusiastic talk about technology and successful attempt to make it all aesthetic are great ⚜️✨😍

I like your approach to your phone ... I feel the same!!
This is so fun! I love seeing what people have on their phones. I love how adding the icons makes the apps less over stimulating

When you replace your phone case you should get a clear case and decorate it like you do with your eReaders!

Ohhh android does have focus modes! Maybe its a phone company feature, I'm not sure. But Samsung phones do have focus modes that you can customise!
Do you still have to change the icon images through shortcuts now that ios 18 is out?
