I have no idea what it is that sets me off when someone lets one go .but the better it's presented the bigger and harder I laugh. I had to leave the cinema when La Petamin was playing.

I was in college when Blazing Saddles came out - went with a group of friends to see it. No one had ever done anything like the campfire scene before. We must have laughed for 20 minutes straight. Absolutely hilarious.
Same effect on us. British schoolkids went to the cinema to see a double bill of Blazing Saddles and Holy Grail. I was going for the Python film, no idea what to expect from the genius that is Mel Brooks. I still recall the campfire scene - sliding off my seat in tears of laughter, unable to breathe, actually in pain from the laughing. And as the wonderful Leslie Nielsen said, you can't beat a fart gag.
@@krg1965 I can only imagine how other nations would react to Blazing Saddles…a spoof of American Westerns (something no other country has…huge deserts 🌵 and massive open spaces). Yes, my friends and I were in hysterics, like you. Nothing like a good healthy laugh.

Absolutely. I saw Saddles in the theater when it first came out. Did not know that scene was coming. Took me by surprise, almost died laughing. I am now 68 and laugh even harder at these things because I am just as stupid now as back then, a gift to me from the heavens.
I found the guy at the end the funniest when they say ‘anymore beans’ and he says ‘I’d say you’ve had enough’ while wafting his hat lol

Way back in High school I am sitting in a study hall, and I have to fart real bad.
The classroom had amazing acoustics and I was clenched up waiting for the class to end so I could hit the lavatory.
Then I hear this sound like a door squeaking, and it just keeps going.
I think "WTF is wrong with that door?" ..."wait what if it is me."
I clench my cheeks harder, and it stops. I bust out in laughter and lose all control and a thunderous fart echos through the classroom.
The study hall monitor gave me a dirty look. I got detention for that one.
It was worth it.

Still remember that scene from Blazing Saddles, the entire cinema audience erupted in laughter except this one uptight-looking middle aged couple who stalked out, the woman with that "well I never..." Karen expression on her face. Probably demanded a refund from the Manager....

First time they aired Blazing Sadles on TV in Australia they had no fart sounds. It was considered inappropriate at the time. Today they allow EVERY swear word.

The fart from "The last king of Scotland" (2006) was the longest in feature film history. Forrest Whitaker ate 4 cans of kidney beans for it!!! Man, what a scene that was, super comedy in a serious film, which could actually have been more in Sasha Baron Cohen's "The Dictator".

You missed Rocketman movie with Harland Williams. It came out in '97 and very funny movie. The main character goes to the moon with NASA and hilarity insures. Also his other movie Down Periscope with Kelsey Gramer. Great movie with a great cast of actors and memorable moments in comedy.
